how long does it take for you to upload your videos to youtube from the Vado HD for a certain file size? My Vado HD takes a really long time to upload to the internet. Is this normal? What do you recommend so that my upload time would be faster? Does my computer specifications matter or is it all dependent on my internet connection speed?
You need to download the Perian v1.1.2 codec to watch the video clips on ur mac and a converter to convert the videos if you want to edit it in iMovies. It's not that difficult just a bit troublesome.
i know about that but it you want to do it on a regular vado? can the xvid codec work? because i dont have much money to spare on a video cam. my mom doesnt want to pay it for me so i plan to use the MOE top 10% award to buy. i am not sure if it is worth my money,
IF its the non-HD Vado, the Vado will appear as an external drive on ur mac and you can extract ur video from there. If you hav the xvid codec, it should work fine.
haha i just realised this comment when i came home. i saw an Aiptek at like $142 and it was HD. so i considered and went to find creative booth but i was pretty shocked they didnt have a booth so i went to marina square to creative shop there. but closed by then. super sad
Kingone as well as others using "Macs" They currently have a newer "firmware" update to the software of the camera that allows you to convert or use the videos with Macs and imovie you just download it from their site. its a great camera I owned Kodak and Flip and have to say I like this one the best because of Wide Lens quality and the price and the 8gigs of space to rec up to 6hrs of footage. Small thin size. Quality is as good as any of the others sound is good too.

they had it on sale for $249 at the IT show in the Creative Booth at level 6!!!
its about $40 off from retail and online sale...
but will revert to $299 after the 50th customer...

I also have the Vado HD cam. Check out my two videos with that cam. Watch it in HQ or HD.

I was considering getting HD version but could not find it in shops before Xmas so I settled for the regular non-HD Vado. It rocks!
