All they seem to care about is showing Black people as "funny" caricatures of real Black people. This isn't funny when you can't get a job because the people who do all of the hiring already have ignorant thoughts about you. Then they turn on the television to watch you roll your neck and eyes, willingly getting paid to confirm their prejudices. When are some African-Americans going to stop only thinking of themselves and their wallet?
This is the reason why there needs to be more women in charge of television networks and other media networks so that we can be respectably represented on television and not contribute to the already debilitating stereotypes of African-American women. I'm so fed up with seeing Black women being portrayed as hostile, loud, and obnoxious. We've got to do better and we've got to stop relying on men (Martin Lawrence, Kelsey Grammer, and others) to portray us on television.
