what he does is strum the C once picks picks the High E followed by the B string, then on the Em he strums once and picks the High E follwed by the B

lol well to be honest i've not long gotten used to playin with a pick. i always thought it was best to use my free hand. I thought that way if i ever need to play a solo or anythin i'd have all my fingers free to play it as best as i can. but i do sound better with a pick your right. Trial and error really.

way to go. you nailed it. I can almost do it, but i keep getting a ringing sound when i try and upstrok my F's. any suggestions?

Cheers man. The only things i could suggest is to aim primarily for the E and B strings as you upstroke, or try to deaden the strings before you upstroke, but other than that, I'm not sure, to be honest. I didn't hav that problem, you see. But I hope this helps anyway mate.
