Is someone here that really is into hypnosis? I am learning it right now and I'm starting to learn the skills with bringing someone into trance. Chris Angel is a good magician, you see it in his skills when he does card tricks. But hypnosis like this, in my mind, looks fake and I think the people are paid.

@Jeaazy It's not fake. Its whats called a rapid group induction, which means basically as it suggests, a inducting hypnosis to a group in less than 30 seconds.

This is a major part of hypnosis - you might wanna take a look at Gerald Kein's DVD series, which will learn you everything.

He's making a pre-hypnotic suggestion that 'im now going to hypnotize you', thereafter tells people to set their minds to be about to "sleep" (even though its just relaxing as you say), and inducts the hypnosis by simply saying "sleep" while passing their critical factor by lowering his hand, making the conscious part of the mind aware of that, allowing him to put in the suggestion "sleep"..

@penbechluver hypnosis isn't forceable. If the cameraman tells himself 'I'm not going to be hypnotized', he wont. See a lot of the guests are also just chillin there with nothing happening - It's because they are either afraid of hypnosis or just wouldn't go with on it :)

@penbechluver The camrea man didn't fall down because of the way hypnosis works. It's impossible to hypnotize someone who doesn't want to be hypnotized. The person (or in this case people) have to do exactly what Criss Angel is saying in order for it to work. The camera men have a job to do, and so didn't consent to being hypnotized. It's all about the mind. Understand?
