when music has not a crazy amount of views, and less than one of every 100 people that listen to it doesnt enjoy it, and im obsessed with it, then i know im part of some group, i love this music so much
hey hey. just one more and ill..... and oh how we....... dont even have to finish because anyone who knows the song, will still go there. love how robert can do that with his voice.
Anyone else think the beginning sounds like one of the Minecraft songs?
Either way, love them. So pissed I couldn't get tickets to see them at Royal Albert Hall, was sitting there at 9am waiting to get tickets but all I got was queues ):
does anyone know anything about the 'skipping' at the beginning of the track? its on quite a few versions ive listened to but found a couple without it?? epic track and epic album
I am from PIttsburgh, I now live in Chicago. I visited Pittsburgh over the weekend and missed Chicago so badly. This song ran through my head the entire weekend. I love this song.
I just listened to the entire The Cure discography over the past fortnight and decided that this is my favourite Cure song of all time. Not sure if my opinion on that will ever change.
With no influence of hearing which cure songs were popular, when I first listened to my parents disintegration album, I unbiasedly decided that this was the best track on the album, by far.
brilliance... pure beauty. the cure form 80-82 and in 89 was so great, maybe the greatest band of their time. i wish we'd have music like this today, but unfortunately...
god fan since 87 i was in the 6th grade and remember the cure really stood out during this era of metal hairbands too me it was like hearing a pink floyd album for the first time it seemed so out of place but so brillant and you couldnt get enough and end up buying all their albums.
this is my favorite band of all time.next in line but not in order..hall and oates buckethead primus george clinton tears for fears michael jackson prince ozzy jimi hendrix old nine inch nails and ministry
@North0house I FUCKING LOVE ROSETTA, and so far, best cure cover I've ever heard in my life, it's so spaced out and awesome, but this original version is amazing.
@AveEnd Definitely, not much else beats them... I know Year of No Light did a Joy Division cover, and Mouth of the Architect did a fantastic cover of Peter Gabriel's 'In Your Eyes'
But, I think Rosetta did the best job on covering the Cure.
@North0house Are you serious? I love Peter Gabriel and MOTA and I have the Violence Beneath and love that song but I had no clue it was a Peter Gabriel cover dude >.< thank you so much for bringing that up!
I love the chord progression down and up again :50 to 1:08 - it is one of my favorite transitions in this song....the piano is amazing 1:01 to 2:02,...it is so under emphasized yet it adds so much to the build up in the song...truly an amazing instrumental production and then the lyrics just kill.....one of my favorites on this ingenious CD. Thanks for posting this song, it helps to make work a bit more tolerable......
Why do people always have to say that the song is not their`s?
