President Byers said, "The Chinese members have sometimes felt misplaced in local wards. Some members have never given a talk or shared their testimony publicly because they do not feel confident or comfortable in that setting."
Brother Jared Ong recalled that, when he was young, his father encouraged him to read the Book of Mormon. At first he hesitated, then later read and studied the Book of Mormon and gained his own testimony. "Our church is true," Brother Jared Ong said. "The Book of Mormon has helped me come closer to Heavenly Father."
Why has every egyptologist that has examined the actual papyri concluded that it is a common funerary text, and Joe was way off. They must all coincidentally have a plot against mormons Haha jk. No wonder why the church has the paper vaulted in church hq.
The church only owns 13% of the papyri that Joseph Smith had in his posession. The obvious answer is the 87% that didn't make it thru the huge fire of the museum in Chicago that burned and destroyed the Book of Abraham papryi. God wants us to find him using FAITH as the tool. Only vipers are looking for proof. Try personal prayer to seek the truth.
@Kaileo2 Actually, Egyptologists are agreeing that Joseph Smith actually got quite a bit right with the facsimiles. We are producing a video on it as we speak and will post it asap. Stay tuned.
You said, "God wants us to find him using FAITH as the tool...Try personal prayer to seek the truth."
Great.... except: every religion uses faith as their tool, and most pray and have "answers" to prayers just like Mormons claim to. So, by your method, ALL religions are true.
@sneedledout You mean like LDS Egyptologists also who have identified it as the same? The thing your not understanding is the "common" Egyptian usage does not consider "variations" in Egyptian usage. In other words, non-LDS scholars haven't actually been looking to see if there is any relation to the BOA with Egyptian knowledge. LDS scholars have been, and there is ALOT that has been found. Joseph has been found to be absolutely right in many instances. That is "why"....
@sneedledout Vaulted away? There many scrolls and most were burned in the Chicago fire. Those that survive are avaliable online to see. If they are locked away in the vault it is most likely due to the historical value and in an effort to not damage them. Is the smithsonian covering up things by having a very large off-limits collections?
"highly technical" Yeah, you're way too smart for me. Oh, wait... I'm supposed to buy into your "challenging set of facts" by faith.

Fine, now explain why the facsimiles as interpreted by Smith are nothing like what Egyptologists say they are.
