no but for real, there's so much redundency shrouded with words that sound powerful that any semblance of meaning is lost in it. "the light shown in the darkness, but the darkness did not realize it"? what the hell is that an analogy for?

it's like....the light (being Christ) showed itself to the dark (being evil, the evil one) but evil doesn't want to recognize Christ. it does make sense, if you just look a little deeper beyond the surface. i can see what ur saying, but i do like the style of what she says and how she says it. it's powerful and most of it is straight out of scripture. :)

James Joyce takes scriptures from the Bible so the bible does say much because whatever he says he gets from the Bible. Maybe its just because he can put it in a more understandable way than the Bible...because the Bible is meant to be interpreted. so newaz back to my original point, the Bible does say much, its just that James Joyce interpreted for other people. he got a lot of meaning out of it.
