@tipoomaster MeeGo is dead since Nokia is discontinuing their in-house OS's to fully commit with WP. Symbian devices will stop being supported after Symbian Donna comes out. By 2016, there will be no more Symbian devices built by Nokia, which is a shame since Symbian Belle looks awesome. I still want a Nokia 701.

I had try it out a few days ago and I must say the design is refreshing but the os still a let down .

@moccani01 iphone 4 is glorious overpriced along with a lot of the phones mentioned. I would recommend samsung defy and sony ericsson xperia ray. All good phones at a reasonable price of around 200-300. Really the ray is an amazing phone!

i was going to buy this phone, but when i saw the camera and video recording quality i decided to wait for the iphone 5 which i'm sure will have better camera and video recording experience. the funny thing is that even the iphone 4 and sony ericsson xperia arc have better camera than this n9. nokia pretty much fail with the camera.

nokia has a bigger sensor and a nicer lens. There is absolutely nothing good in Iphones camera. I guess you are just a fruit troll and get totaly excited by a 2mp camera that stevie authorized.

@2009zigi I assume that is your opinion only. Not an iPhone owner but I read that the iPhone 4's camera is considered as one of the best if not the best compared to every other smart phone. I have tried it myself and I was very impressed even though it is only a 5mp camera, not 2mp like you have stated.

@techstud4life Look pal. My hobby is photography and i shoot with dslrs and so i know that a small sensor like the iphone's just doesn't cut it. No matter what "technology" is behind it. It's psyhics. Bigger sensor=better IQ. Smaller sensor=worse IQ. Apple camera=crap IQ.

The only decent camera from a phone is the one of N8. It has a larger sensor then any other camera phone and a zeiss certified lens. It just can't get better then that. No matter what Steve vomits.

@edson503 If we judge by apple fan standards that dish nokia for ridiculous things, like lower resolution even when the previous model had a lower and the ifaithful didn't neeed more, then yes it doesn't have a redeeming quantity. Not saying it doesn't take pictures. But no where near for iphone to become the most used camera on flickr. Looks like somebody burned their whole money on a phone and can't afford a decent camera. I prefer quality over eye candy. Not that im immune to the later.

Despite the smaller pixel count, iPhone does have brilliant saturation, contrast and colour, and the lens is not that far behind. Boot-to-shoot speed is also amongst the highest - Nokia's good, but it doesn't mean iPhone's bad.

This is a cool phone. No doubt about it. But nokia said them self, that meego will remain a prototype/experimental OS. How long will it be till nokia drops support for this phone and totally hand it over the the meego community? I have a strong feeling that this Awsome OS will not make it pass the 2 year mark in the market. Just like the Maemo OS for the N900. Unless INTEL totally takes over the development of meego from Nokias hands

@bryantwb There is also a hardware unlock switch if you prefer, but the screen cannot be activated by anything in your pocket - the screen is capacitive, not resistive. You would need to double tap your screen, swipe to the left, touch the phone icon and speeddial your wife's number - then talk about how you were unfaithful - loud enough for your wife to hear you whilst the phone was in your pocket. If you manage to do all that, well then you deserve to get busted!

@pspbricker1 Sorry mate, Nokia were fantastic phones in there day, but the N97 was the biggest let down in history. Screen freezing, iceage slow, horrible navigation, eventually it fell apart in my hands - starting with the screen wrap and eventually the actual screen fell off. The Ovi store is a disaster too, buying music was the greatest headache. Check the comparative videos on iphone 4 and this model, seems to have alot of the same issues. Apple are King in my world.

Personally I find Itunes to be a nightmare - continually duplicating songs, bloated, neverending updates, restricted and inadequate. iOS UI just hasn't developed since the first iphone, and the hardware is always dated at launch - video calling being the obvious example, it was available on Nokia devices 8 years ago. Yes, Nokia rightly faced criticism about Symbian touchscreen OS, but Meego has been developed beautifully. Sorry, but I think Apples are rotten.

Meego and WP7 Mango are both looking very sweet at the mo. Nokia has stepped it up a gear, and gets my next purchase. Iphone 5 is just more of the same old boring UI, and Android is just way to fragmented and frustrating. I would go for the N9, but I really want cloud backup, which is pushing me towards the Searay. Mmmm.

This phone is awesome, but let´s face it, meego would have been great 3 or 4 years ago now it´s just a bit too late. ok i'm a former nokia user n a current iphone user n i love this phone. I don't understand why people fight over cell phones like kids! let the manufacturers fight. more competition means better products for us consumers.
