That is AWESOME. But I have to agree if you pay for something of that value you better get your moneys worth. Cause it is like paying for a alien figure £49.99 made by NECA then getting a Mcfarlane (sorry If I spell wrong) Alien for the same price but more better in detail and better articulation. I have to agree many of the busts are just rushed. Im an artist I do fantasy art and ALIEN art. If this was my work I would put my heart and soul in it. So the buyer would go WOOOOOOW.

And if you do leave it outside, how to you maintain it as far as keeping it

My review is honest and fair and if you have watched it right through to the end, you will see I give it high praise. This video is hopefully helpful for those who are thinking of buying one, at £1000 it's nice to know what you are getting, wouldn't you agree?

@BerserkerPredator01 The regular xenomorphs have eye sockets as well. They're a vestigial trait left over from the "hybridization" process, if that's what you want to call it. Whatever the xenomorphs use to locate their prey is a more effective means of detection, and so the ocular organs of the host aren't needed. Many animals in reality have vestigial traits...such as snakes, some of which have limb nubs.

Great review like always...you are exactly right about the dull paint application on this piece..i have the predalien also..just recently i applied clear gloss polyurethane on it..now it looks better and has a wet gloss look overall.

@RobotOnLine I just got my predalien and it is awesome. Like you said, it's meant to be look at from a few steps back to take it all in.

One question, when you installed the dreadlocks,  did they "snap" in at all? 2 of mine did, but the others just pressed in. Also, some of the insert points did not have rubber on them for the dreadlocks... just wondering if this was the same on yours or if mine was just missing rubber on a couple spots??

@facelift1 I don't remember them making a snapping noise, I just pushed them in as far as I could.

I wouldn't worry too much about the rubber inserts, they are only there to take up slack.

Some holes may not require the rubber if they are already a snug fit.

I loved this movie. It was awesome. Had more blood and action then the first AVP movie. It had a darker atmosphere to it and they still tried to make the aliens creepy with the way they acted. I know it wasn't the best but it was better then AVP. And this Pred in AVPR did not die within 5 minutes of showing up.. thank god!

I would imagine that someone with the right expertise can make the teeth more glossy, unfortunately I don't have that expertise so I can't advise you on that.

I fully agree with you when it comes to the simplicity of the paint job on certain areas of the bust, I think any 1:1 bust will have it's negative & positive points having said that it does look amazing from a distance and for sure it will be the center of attraction to anyone!

Still a definite buy IMO!

Another excellent review -- I don't think you were too harsh at all on reviewing this bust. I can definitely see how the paint job would be disappointing especially considering the hefty price but like you said, despite the paint flaws this really is an insane eye catching piece overall.
