Brown's book: "Web of Debt" describes in detail how the first Great Depression was caused by the banking cartel exactly as you described, to drive family farmers off their land so that the corporate giants that own the banks could repossess the farmers' land. That's how factory farming was instituted -- by banking corporations repossessing farmland during the first great depression.
This does not mean that the gov is not a party to the FEDs manipulation of the economy.
Q who elects the US government A: People with money that is who, the party spends on pathetic adds the better the chances of election.
Q Who has the most money? A: The owners of the FED and other large corporations.
The gov has deliberately deregulated banks, encouraged women to work to expand family income and along with the FED encouraged high family debt now these fools with high debt will pay, maybe 3x
Another thing I might add is that during the Depression of the Dirty 30's, they didn't have any credit cards. There weren't these huge brokerage firms as we have them now. Once these banks start failing not only because of insolvent sub-prime, and prime home loans, but also because of bad credit card holders, that's when these giants will all be falling in rapid succession, just like dominoes. I think we're on the precipice of all this happening. September or October will be the months to watch
The "failed banks" all have money on computer only (mostly) and when they go under they're just reabsorbed by their poppa, the FED, owned and controlled by the Rothschild banking family.

It is like Federal Express and that's like the easiest way to explain it. The Federal Reserve is illegal and rife with corruption and outright fraud.
They have never allowed their accounts to be audited. Yes, THEY never allowed it.
The last president to mention the "conspiracy" was JFK.
They murdered him before he could say MORE.

In 1913 the Private Central Bank was named the Federal Reserve, after the Federal Reserve Act even though they were never part of the government.
They 'allow' the President to choose the "chairman" (who us really just a figurehead) to fool the People.
The accounts of the Federal Reserve have NEVER been audited. They have the power to prevent it.
A few clicks of a mouse will reveal all this.
If anybody doubts these facts, let them google it.
