Should We Celebrate Halloween?

Samhain's purpose was to celebrate the beginning of a new Celtic year which started by the "dark season" on the Automn equinox, when days and nights have the same duration. Guess what? Equinox, on our modern calendar, is around September 22nd or 23rd. Certainly not in october.

Last but not least, the celebration lasted around 5 days, more than one night!

Halloween is just a vague rememberance of this Celtic culture.

You should consider that Christianity is based on pagan religions, one of which was the Greek religion. The Roman empire took over Greece after the Greeks had become a farming culure.
