He was arrested but a Judge threw out his case on the grounds that he hadn't violated the Stolen Valor Act in the strictest sense and those a prosecution would infringe upon his First Amendment Rights. I agree this needs to be stopped, but if the text of the law doesn't permit us to go after people then the best we can do is out them.

Taking credit for the things that I my fellow veterans and military brothers did, and had to endure. I wish to meet this man in a dark alley. For him to then blame mental illness is a total farce, its clearly only because he was caught (needless to say of course). He was in no way helping veterans, quite the opposite in fact, its a slap in the face to all of us that served and were decorated for that service.

i had co-workers that were habitual liars. once i brought a car magazine to work. on the cover was a beatiful model of the female gender. my co-worker saw my magazine and told me that he used to go clubbing with the model but she moved to attend school. my co-worker did not know that i had read the article about the model and it said she went to a totally different school than what my co-worker had said. so either the model is a liar or my co-worker. it was his imaginary supermodel ex-girfriend.

I think I'm in the minority that feels sorry for this man. He had the guts to go on national television and admit and apoligize for something. True, it was only after getting caught, but I don't know if I myself would have had the guts to do that. He obviously has some long-running psychological problems and is completely out of touch with reality.. I hope he gets the medical attention he needs and can create his own happiness instead of spinning a web of lies around him.
