  • Speechless. Absolutely speechless. That was so stunning, there really isn't a word to describe it. You HAVE to put the rest up!!!!!!!

  • This was just as good as the original musical!!! I love it! Great acting!

  • I was responding to a comment when the whistle went off and scared the living daylights outta me.

  • wow, im speechless...youre all very good and i like your voices...it sounds just like the original...could you upload some of the other parts too, please..hehe i liked it *thumbs up*

  • I cannot WAIT to see this live!!!

  • Aw, you guys cut out the Beadle/Pirelli duet...

  • I love how Sweeney is stretching his neck back. How wonderfully awful.

  • I love how the audience gasps when sweeney dies.

  • @flamestarwarrior I didn't know he died until I watched the whole thing on here before the Johnny Depp version came out.

  • brilliant. i want to play the role of sweeney todd so bad. my school might do it next year. fingers crossed. very good performance.

  • beyong amazing !

  • I remember seeing this on Broadway with the original cast. The finale still sends chills up and down my spine - and this was very well done!

  • i love this ending! Absolutely amazing!!!!!!!!!

  • The ending was PERFECT! Sweeney laughs evilly as he slams the door in the audiences faces! That was priceless! This was a kick ass show! LOVE IT!

  • the ending is INCREDIBLE. Sweeney was terrifying

  • Lolz 0:25

  • great acting and singing

  • Yes, you can rent them. They need refilling each time, and regularly go off at the wrong moment (i.e. before or after the killing). I see you cut Pirelli and Beadle's main solo, and gave them the bit later.

  • what an amazing production. masterful.

  • amazing!!! absolutely amazing!! anyone know where i can get the play of sweeney todd on dvd?????

  • That is fricken awsome!

  • Great. Acting.

  • Was that a school play? Thatwas sweet! I love Sweeney todd

  • That was amazing!!! ^^ I loved ittt!!!!! :D

  • They did a good job, but I prefer the bleeding razor trick rather than the blood seemingly exploding from the neck. We used the bleeding razor in the version at my community theatre. :3

  • Well Mr Smart Hole - that's what we used too - a razor that squirted blood when a certain button was pressed on it. Surely it's the effect that's important and not how we got it; nobody seemed to complain in the audience every night.

  • how did you all make the razors because i'm producing & directing this show next summer and i'm clueless as to how to make the damn razors.

  • I love the way sweeney says "hell" in the last verse of the ballad.Well done, this was excellent ye really made yer own of it.

  • wow!! I have never seen it yet in the theatre. But now I wanna see it!!

  • That slash to Sweeney was just....0_0 It was awesome. The whole thing was excellent! I want to see more! :P

The only part I didn't like was his door-slam. WTF was he doing?

  • He looked awesome

  • jesus christ that was excellent

  • Can you please upload Epiphany and A Little Priest from this production?

  • I'll do that real soon :-)

  • Kewl! Thanks!

  • I LOVED that!!!

  • Nice Juicy Cut!

  • brilliant!

  • Awesome vocals. :D

  • nice one

  • god that squirt looked real

  • How did you manage to do the factory whistle? Did you get a real one or use something else?

  • I've heard the exact same factory whistle noise in every single recording I've seen or heard of Sweeney Todd. Maybe there's one recording on a tape recorder that Sondheim mails to the sound director every time someone puts on a new production.

  • isnt tobias supose to be like 5? lol

  • ya he is supposed to be a child but if you look up Patti Lupone Sweeney Todd, they have an older man playing Toby. It's understood he's young, but in some productions they have older people playing him with the 5 yr mentality. You know? I think sometimes its better that way. Btw, these guys are good.

  • yeah I believe that it is supposed to be either a child or a mentally retarded person.

  • I had always thought that it was a 13-17 year old who wasn't smart who went crazy.

  • I really think it's open to what you think. Like there is a debated that Mrs. Lovett really loved Sweeney and then it wasn't love. Thats what I love about this musical. It's just how you look at it that makes it great.

  • I loved the whole clip with the exception of when Todd made that little growl when he exited the door.

    WTF was that?

  • He was laughing at the audience. Worked well on the night.

  • Can you please upload Epiphany and A Little Priest from this production?

  • Does the blood like come out from the razor or something? Seriously how do they do that?

  • Yeah, we have the same things we work with... The Handles of the knive contain the blood & puch a button & it sprays out of the blade, have it done right & it looks like you slashed someones throat

  • ok that's awesome! i want a razor like that now!

  • i think there is a blood packet in sweeney's hand xxx

  • if that was the case though, Sweeney would have to quickly place his hand over his neck though just so the blood would flow as the knife was slitted away

  • such a good argument!!

    think your right xxxxxx

  • yeah, i work at a haunted house & we have the same things they used here, Stabbing knives (blade on a spring pushed back squirts blood ) & slash knifes in which works like a spray bottle & squirts out

  • hi where can i get one of thouse knives as i am putting on sweeney in nov in kent

    can you help me out

  • To be honest, i'm not too sure were we got our knifes... Probobly from some theatrical/prop website i think

  • We got the knives from a prop hire company in London. The handles are filled with blood and is released with a little switch through the blade. Works really well.

  • thanks for getting back to me

do you know the name of the company that you hired it from/

    sophia

  • Sometimes they make pacs to put on their necks that they put makeup over and actually do cut open, and "blood" spills out.

My mom worked with theatre makeup in college and told me all about it. -nodnod- nn

I can't tell if it's your way or the way I've talked about, though.

  • Do you have to refill it? :P That's an awesome prop!

  • were singin the finale and the worst pies in london in our school, and im really excited

  • great!!

  • brilllainto

  • Got any more from this production?

  • Yes - will try to add some more :-)

  • Thanks man!

  • the pit sounded amazing. bravo~

  • boy howdy that blood gave me a jump at the beginning.

  • I NEED YOUR LIFE!!!!!!

  • That Sweeney Todd is so hot.

  • Wow! Excellent job :D. I love how the actors are so stoic during the applause, still in character.

  • angst. my high school is doing high school musical i want to puke...why cant we do ST!!!!still got 3 more years....hehehe(evil laugh)kewl blood.

  • Oh my god that sucks xD [About the HSM]

  • lol i would NEVER be able to do this musical at my school (i go to the catholic board) and my principal would have a heart attack!(which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing lol jk) anyways i would kill to be able to do this musical...i wouldn't even care if i was in it or not i would probably be stage crew but i would love being mrs loveit or even johanna!

  • same exact thinking or i would even play beggar woman! anything. sadly play not in nyc any more :-( i am on stage crew myself so much fun! lawl

  • omg, that blood was great!!!

  • Two of the people in that were teachers in my school XD yeah the blood was awesome,

  • That blood was amazing! Great production. The blood reminded me of the movie.

  • This was in Kilcock, Co Kildare in Ireland.

    Great musical society.

  • Good job all around!! Where was this production?

  • this is my favorite song from the musical, I'm kinda deprssed that it wasn't included in the movie =[

  • i love the blood squirting! that was awesome!

i cant wait to see this movie

  • Fantastic harmonies though! :)

  • Wow you guys were really good. The audience was into it. They gasped when Sweeney's throat was cut.

  • I gasped when I saw that! My friend asked me if they actually cut his throat but missed a major vein i was like WTF??

  • Aswesome!!!!!!

  • i just went to go see this in toronto and this was just as good! it was awesome!

  • Fantastic cast! Only problem I had was that Tobias was more comical when he spoke to the police officers. When I saw the Australian Opera production of ST, that section was done in the uttermost seriousness so it ended up as the creepiest, spine chilling scenes of the show.

Other than that, this was fantastic - i saw it got standing ovations and thats what that number definetely deserved.

  • I love how nonchalant Tobias is. And how the beggar woman is prettier than Johanna. Cool set, too.

  • wooow that guy has a great voice!!!!!! (smoothley)

  • I still can't believe that his wife was alive, it's so tragic.

  • ohmygoodness that was awesome

  • Captivating performance!

  • That was terrific!

  • EXCELLENT ORCHESTRA!

    And you all sound fantastic.

  • ahh this was amazing.

    it gave me chills!

  • that's awesome!! please post more!!

  • haha just kidding on the last one - very good y'all! acting and singing

  • Fantastic production Judas, you are a genius director. Your artistically mind grasped this production, I love lots of the ideas you use here. You themed your whole production by the seems of it, good luck with your future endeavours.

  • I love how he laughs at them in the end, insted of simply glaring at them.

  • bravo. that was an amazing production and the curtain call...WOW. Your director was brilliant. If there is any musical that can pull off a curtain call with the actors just staring at the audience its Sweeney. Great Performance!

  • how can they put it in the oven? there is no oven!!unless...no...but sweeney wouldn't go to hell! never! i will not allow it!

  • This looks like it was quite a production! I DO hope you'll upload more of the show!

  • nice

  • Very good Job guys, fantastic job.

  • awesome production! you have the creepiest looking Sweeney Todd ever (as in the actor himself)

I did miss the Beadle and Pirelli's Swing your Razor line though...i love it so much...but man awesome job!

  • wow that razor really squirt it out didn't it?

  • Can never have enough Blood :-)

  • Yeah. They sure had a Kill Bill style razor. LOL. I love it.

  • Were you in this? If so who'd you play?

  • Director

  • wow! Awsome show and awsome job!!

  • amen
