;dlasfj;alsdfjkl;asjf WHY DID THEY GET RID OF THIS SCENE?!!?!? it would've made the WHOLE movie so much better, especially with the last movie....would've made connections with snape more moving
@AndriEsiNgz Exactly however i think perhaps the director thought it gave too much away for Deathly Hallows... why they didn't use this over the scene with Snape and Lily in Deathly Hallows part 2 is beyond me!

I first heard this song and was mesmerized by it, now that I have seen the lyrics for this song I have fallen in love with it, and when I found out that there was a clip for it in the movie with Flitwick, that they cut out, makes me upset! This song is so beautiful! Thanks for the lyrics!
Oh gosh, this gives me chills! One of the best tracks in the Harry Potter series! If it really was Snape's theme, then it could give Hedwig's theme a run for its money!
@Kaboomaman Carry my soul into the night May the stars guide my way. I glory in the sight As darkness takes the day. Ferte in noctem animam meam Illustre stelle viam meam. Aspectu illo glorior Dum capit nox diem. Cantate vitae canticu Sine dolore acte Dicite eis quos amabam Numquam obliviscar. Sing a song, a song of life Made without regret Tell the ones, the ones I loved I never will forget Never will forget :)
That scene would have added so much more to the movie, not that it wasn't great already, it was beyond that. But, it definately would've help to add up to what was about to happened. It's such an intense scene, I love this song. It's brilliant.
This song is just...AMAZING. Its really moving. I cannot understand how this didn't make the final cut?! Really glad that I watched the additional scenes and found this gem of scene, even if it isnt in the main movie.
After watching all of the Deleted scenes and the movie I can easily say that the scene that they deleted with the Close up of Snapes face with this playing is probably the most Moving scene in The history of Movie making and they made a huge mistake of Removing it :/

when i first read the book i was shock when i read that Snape kill dumbledore but i did not get the book the first time so i had to read the whole book again and now i do understand it, and the movie was great too the thing that sucks is that even though snape was the half blood prince there was not alot of information in the movie like in the book
@stsars13 in the HP 7 Part 2 score, Alexandre Desplat has already composed a theme for Severus Snape. This was meant to be Dumbledore's theme. Its a shame it won't be getting a reprise because Desplat is so Williams-centric and everybody hates Hooper just for a few dull tracks. After listening to all 7 (well, *8*) Harry Potter soundtracks, I have to say this is secretly the best one followed closely by Deathly Hallows Part 1, which Part 2 was good but failed to live up to its promising start.
@stsars13 I think technically it is. In the deleted scene it shows him looking down on the school and I got the impression it was more about him than anything else.
@stsars13 See when I first heard it I thought well the bad guys are happy when 'Darkness takes the Day' meaning darkness wins but then I thought a person like Snape is happier at night when he can be alone and not around people and he probably takes comfort in the night so this song can mean alot of things for the character and the movie etc. so beautiful. Was this a John Williams composition redone? or no?
It's a really nice song. They probably cutted it out because it was too long and unnecesary. But I think it will be included in an extended version (they're making it, or at least in Dutch).
Yes, the scene where it was clear and loud was deleted, but the song is still in the film. It was just very quiet. I agree though. I wish that scene had stayed!
I thing, it's not in the film. If you listen to the rest of the soundtrack you will hear the choir or similar music. In "Journey to the cave" they sing some words from this song but to the different tunes.
This is my fav song from HBP. It is so haunting and sad. I didn't know there were actual lyrics. I love them so much. Gorgeous. Thanks so much for this!!
however, the parts sung in Latin is sung very bad (the accents are wrong), Perhaps you do not notice, but who am Italian (which derives from the Latin) I understand that they are not pronounced well, it was a little information. hih grazy

This is the part where the choir is singing. But it's not the funeral part (after dueling with the Death eaters - not voldemort) .
It is where the Death eaters are about to enter through the cabinets. Also a large storm is surrounding Hogwarts.
[If you actually watch the deleted scene closely you'll get the feel that a darkness is coming upon Hogwarts. And you can get where the clip fits into the movie]
