@hawks2333 Improved strength on the actual exercises? A matter of weeks... but most of that is neurological - they 'learn' how to do the exercise. Improved strength on the court? Several weeks to a few months.
@susokyotoMEGAMAN How could an sensible, progressive, purposeful training program developed by a working professional strength & conditioning coach that makes ZERO promises or claims on results be a scam? It can't.
btw i agree with the coach jumping rope does help in Balance but it has nothing to do with the Vertical leap one of my partners plays as a striker in soccer he needed to work on his headers in other words vertical leap so he did the jumping rope for about a year and didn't get any results !
@StrongerTeamDotCom Well my team mate didn't have a much better leaping ability but hell he have now some quick feet, what other reasons that push you to oppose Jumping rope? thanks for the video btw !!!
@drfish69 I wouldn't say significantly but they do help. Jumping rope (30 seconds with as many repetitions as you can (and doubles/ triples if you can) is extremely effective if you want to get those extra inchescheck out nbadunks.org. There are tons of tipps.
@StrongerTeamDotCom Are you serious? Of course it does. And you know it. I don't say it's the best exercise, but it's extremely effective if you want to gain some inches real fast.
Great moves Coach, i will using alot of these with our guys. Thanks for the continual knowledge and info u pass along! Also, a question dor u, what type of band are u sporting on ur right wrist n how can order some of those 'Stag' B-ball shorts cuz those are sweet!! (Nelly)
@xBALLISLIFEx Nope, I can't anymore (I could in college and HS). For the record, I turn 36 next week... so I'm just happy to be able to do those exercises!
Great video! Seeing that I use a lot of these exercises as coach for my team (a girls team in switzerland) gives me the feeling that I'm a on the right track. But now I'll certainly add some new ones. I read that Holger Geschwinder wanted Nowitzki during his off-season training to do fingertip push-ups (first exercise in the video) after every trainig session. THANKS for sharing your knowledge!!
yea i wanted to know lets say i choose 5-6 good exercises, and im doing it with a 12-14 yrs olds, how many times a week should he do those 5-6 and how many sets each?
and should he do a circle of all 5-6 X sets or finish each drills's sets first before he moves to the nxt drill?
@Drore55 There is no 'right' answer, it all depends on the level of the players doing the exercises. I will say that many of these are fairly advanced and require some decent strength... so you may need to modify for the kids you are working with. Just use your best judgment!
@thewon888 There would be no set number but around 10 to build strength. For set's it would depend on your current strength! Beginner around 1-2 sets Med 2-3 Adv 4+! As long as you keep the explosive one's fast (medicine ball rip and the medicine ball bounce). Aim for up to a minute on the hold's! then add weight!
can you please tell me where you get the Resistance bands from i need some ASAP ?

Does hand strength help you palm the ball, or do you just need bigger hands?
89tinkerbutt 1 month ago
@89tinkerbutt Hand strength helps you control the ball... but you need to big enough hands to actually palm it.
