I'm a lifetime PC user, and I just switched to iMac. Why? Because in the past 4 years, I've lost 3 PC's due to shitty Microsoft updates, viruses, malware, etc. Even through two routers and a hard-ass firewall, still lost them. So I bought iMac a couple weeks ago and it leaves Windows in the dust!! I still like using XP though, especially for watching videos. Macs do cost more, but I consider it worthwhile given that they have a longer life than a PC and I don't want to spend more $ on M$ crap!

Easy to install and you don't need to worry about drivers because Windows 7 has them all build right into it! I hated Vista with all my heart and Win7 get a 10 from me! Its a PERFECT OS!

It's the upgrade version of 7 and you choose from home premium or pro. But you can still do a clean install with it and it's so easy. Install it without the serial key and do a registry edit put in the key when windows prompts you to and bam full version. I bought it.

Windows 7 isn't slow at all. I've been running it since June, and it runs much faster then vista did and about the same speed as xp did. XP is unbearably ugly, old, and annoying to use compared to the streamlined win7 interface. I'd rather use a mac then XP, and a mac would be faster too.

If you have Vista, the windows 7 installer will give you an option for a clean install or for you to keep all your files. If you have XP, you will only be able to keep your settings.
