Why is this video flooded with Kelly/Carrie comparison comments? I know I compare them sometimes, but in reality they are different artists. Just because they both won American Idol doesn't mean they have to have similar careers.
And, to get your facts straight, Kelly has sold far more albums than Carrie. She is more successful in terms of sales, writing, & musical talent. The only reason she isn't doing press right now is because she is working on her fourth album due out this year.
I also find it humorous that the people in control of Carrie's career are making their innocent little country girl sing about getting married to a stranger in Vegas while drunk. We all know she's never done such a thing. It's really rather degrading on her part. I think she's better than this.

it didnt exactly flop no...but it sure as heck didn't do what carrie underwood did with some hearts and carnival ride. in 2 albums, carrie sold 12 millions copies. kellys sold 19million....with 3. both are extremely good artists and successful in their own rights. but as far as sales go and overall popularity, carrie is currently queen.

Kelly Clarkson's last tour got cancelled because of her poor sales, her last album flopped and she is no where near what Carrie Underwood is doing. Carrie is the best AI winnier so far.
Her last album didn't flop, it sold over a million and a half. Which I know isn't that impressive compared to her other CD sales, but when your record label refuses to give you any promotion at all, that's actually good. Carrie got promotion like crazy. Why is this video flooded with Kelly/Carrie comparison comments? I know I compare them sometimes, but in reality they are different artists. Just because they both won American Idol doesn't mean they have to have similar careers.
And, to get your facts straight, Kelly has sold far more albums than Carrie. She is more successful in terms of sales, writing, & musical talent. The only reason she isn't doing press right now is because she is working on her fourth album due out this year.

it didnt exactly flop no...but it sure as heck didn't do what carrie underwood did with some hearts and carnival ride. in 2 albums, carrie sold 12 millions copies. kellys sold 19million....with 3. both are extremely good artists and successful in their own rights. but as far as sales go and overall popularity, carrie is currently queen.

it always make me laugh how people will take comments out of context. i never said i didnt like kelly or my december and i will never say that. in all honesty, kelly is probably a more gifted singer and my december is a much rawer and musically inventive album than any of carries. and no...record sales dont matter to me nor determine who i listen to. most of the bands i like dont even play on the radio. but record sales do determine a singers popularity and that's not an opinion...thats a fact.

Kelly Clarkson's last tour got cancelled because of her poor sales, her last album flopped and she is no where near what Carrie Underwood is doing. Carrie is the best AI winnier so far.

Her last album didn't flop, it sold over a million and a half. Which I know isn't that impressive compared to her other CD sales, but when your record label refuses to give you any promotion at all, that's actually good. Carrie got promotion like crazy. Her Target commercial was the only thing on TV and she was everywhere. They didn't give Kelly a chance and didn't promote her. And besides, sales isn't everything anyway.

Im a Carrie fan,but I agree w/ your last comment,that sales arent everything.Ive been scrolling thru this endless Carrie/Kelly debate just to see what people are saying,but I honestly see chart/sales success as bragging rights more than anything else.Which ones better comes down to personal taste.I enjoy country music,so naturally I favour Carrie,however to someone who enjoys rock/pop(sorry if thats the wrong clasification),Kelly may become the favourite.Its all in what you prefer.End of story.

For a 25 year old woman, there is not such thing as too sexy. An outfit can be too revealing, but not too sexy. What Carrie wore was very clever. It gives the illusion of being on the edge while all it really showed was a lot of leg.

kelly only sold 19, and you are silly to forget that kelly promoted herself as mainstream, and hada 4 year head start. carrie sold twice than kelly sold actually given the time frame. anyway carrie won more grammys ( 3) ,5 female vocalist awards, so is clearly a better singer.

She is just so hot. She also can sing and perform. She is getting better at moving around on stage and putting a show together. Does she ever hit high notes, whoa!. She is that skinny and fit now because she wants to look good and feel good, and she should. So many people look at her and watch her, she is going to make sure she performs and is at her best every minute.
