I visited London once. It was very foggy and everyone travelled in carriages. I watched a Shakespeare play at The Globe & saw the beheading of Charles I. There was a big fire that I helped to extinquish. Everyone was living in fear of Jack the Ripper & German bombs. I attended a reading by Charles Dickins & visted Sherlock Holmes over my missing girlfriend. I watched some bears being baited & visited an opium den. I watched in awe a Roman legion march through the city. Magical London.

I think some people go a bit far saying how great london is. I live in the uk and its only mildly different from other places in the uk. THe first time you see it it seems unique but then after that it just becomes like any other city with lots of skyscrapers and chain stores.

@leerees Don't be such a dick. Loads of people speak english. Its Bradford and all those little cities inland that have all the foreign people. They are not all immigrants. Don't be so negative about everything, he's not really talking about people, he's on about the places to see and things to do. Society is fucked, we all know that.

@khanimed I live in Toronto, born and raised in the area... I've visited some places in the world, but London, where I've been twice, is definitely THE place to be... Toronto's okay, but somewhat dull in comparison... Someday I'll make the move with my Italian/EU passport...

BTW, what brought you to Canada? Was it due to the overly positive view the rest of the world has on Canada?
