I'm guessing you haven't read the books. The 6th is about them reaching the age where hormones kick in, so they have to show romance and crap.

Moody in the 5th movie fights with a staff at the scene where the Order rescues Harry and the others, so its not all just 'twigs'.

Rowling really has no say in what they do in the movie, she can suggest things, but its up to the screenwriter, so don't call her a sellout.

if you read the books you would know voldemort doesn't even really show up in "Half Blood Prince." wizards don't use samurai swords, and voldemort and his army don't attack Hogwarts until "Deathly Hallows."

David Yates FUCKED IT UP. The 5th movie, 6th movie, 7.1 & 7.2 were/have been directed by him. The 4th was pretty good, the 3rd was horrid.
