I HAVE THIS,,THANKS FOR POSTING,,THIS IS WHAT THE YOUNGSTERS NEED TO HEAR,,REAL MUSIC BY REAL MUSICIANS!!!!!.IM A BASS PLAYER THAT IS GIGING RIGHT NOW,,I TELL MT KIDS THAT SAMPLE MUSIC KILLS REAL MUSIC!!,,THATS WHY I PLAY ALL MY STUFF,,THEY CALL IT OLD-SCHOOL,,BUT I TELL THEM THAT THE STUFF THAT YOU HEAR CAME FROM THIS!!.
The Height Of The Minneapolis Sound as Personified By PRINCE, THE TIME, VANITY 6 And Later By Producers, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. Man, I Miss The 80's!
great song there had to be a moment in 1986 when Prince just regrets the fact that he did not push and support the acts he had on his Label this track was off the Chain brings back good memories as a musician it always reminds me how far away radio has gotten from playing music that actually has weight height and depth as opposed to all of this call me Mr Flintstone I can make your bed rock? BS
1st album, 1986 mazarati 1, they had mazarati 2 in 1989 with brown mark and klymaxx's bernadette cooper producing, but the album failed. '100 mph' was their only hit, prince produced track. heres list..# 100 MPH" (1986) #19 U.S. R&B , Paisley Park
# "Players' Ball" (1986), Paisley Park
# "Stroke" (1986), Paisley Park
# "Stroke" / "Champagne Saturday" (1986), Paisley Park
Now that's what I call "better quality sound", partner :-)
Sounds like Jesse Johnson (or the members in his band from this period) had a lot to do with this. Especially the synth bass part. This was huge in Atlanta, which is "Cameo Country" for sure.
Thanxs god my big brother had all of the Mazaratis record and i was only 7 year old jammin already,my brother learning me the Electric boogie&Breakdance......
This shit here was da jam!!! My partna' Greg Sane from Memphis became Mazarati's second lead singer before they dropped off the map! I wish they would do a reunion, even if 4 a hot second!
I have this and a boatload of other Minneapolis extended singles that are either REALLY hard to find or not available at all. I hate to admit this but I had a friend put 'em on disc for me. It's GREAT car music..........great on the highway on the way to work but even better late at night on the way to or from whatever;).
Still EPIC!

In my opinion, these guys were just as good as The Time. They had some classic jams. Really talented musicians.
