  • @EZELLESTERS11 nothing wrong with sampling if ya already a musician imho..combine both and endless possiblity

  • music is nice, but goddamn! there had to be some real willy-eating going on among them.

  • the album version seems to "breathe" a little more....but can't argue with extended versions!

  • Great song. Thanks for the upload. I have this 12" single as well.

  • In my opinion, these guys were just as good as The Time. They had some classic jams. Really talented musicians.

  • The Height Of The Minneapolis Sound as Personified By PRINCE, THE TIME, VANITY 6 And Later By Producers, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. Man, I Miss The 80's!

  • great song there had to be a moment in 1986 when Prince just regrets the fact that he did not push and support the acts he had on his Label this track was off the Chain brings back good memories as a musician it always reminds me how far away radio has gotten from playing music that actually has weight height and depth as opposed to all of this call me Mr Flintstone I can make your bed rock? BS

  • I lose 20 years on my life every time I hear this cut...

  • Still a jam that would make the charts today!

  • Love This Music...The Minneapolis Sound!

  • music this good is GONE!

  • still can't get enough of this group that takes me back to the days when I came of age...

  • That's RIGHT! :-)

  • Tha Shit!!!

  • Beautiful HQ sound. TY so much!

  • If i remember correctly this was a B side cut on the 12" single

  • Can anyone tell me if Players Ball is on there first album? I have a copy of this classic disk but no Player ball on it.

  • 1st album, 1986 mazarati 1, they had mazarati 2 in 1989 with brown mark and klymaxx's bernadette cooper producing, but the album failed. '100 mph' was their only hit, prince produced track. heres list..# 100 MPH" (1986) #19 U.S. R&B , Paisley Park

    # "Players' Ball" (1986), Paisley Park

    # "Stroke" (1986), Paisley Park

    # "Stroke" / "Champagne Saturday" (1986), Paisley Park

    # "The Saga Of A Man" (1989), Motown

    # "The Woman Thang" (1989), Motown

  • Thanks Joeblow394 its a shame that Prince didn't develop these guys better they had something.

  • @dropsqaud yes it is

  • GREAT GROUP

  • Long live Mazarati!!!!!

  • KILLAH!!!

  • man they rocked

  • dam these dudes is nice - what happend 2 em?

  • Gotta love cuts that allow you to relive some of your youth! This jam is epic!!!

  • Still lovin' this Mazarati masterpiece!!!!

  • Now that's what I call "better quality sound", partner :-)

Sounds like Jesse Johnson (or the members in his band from this period) had a lot to do with this. Especially the synth bass part. This was huge in Atlanta, which is "Cameo Country" for sure.

  • BRING BACK THE FUNK!!!

  • Thanxs god my big brother had all of the Mazaratis record and i was only 7 year old jammin already,my brother learning me the Electric boogie&Breakdance......

  • This shit here was da jam!!! My partna' Greg Sane from Memphis became Mazarati's second lead singer before they dropped off the map! I wish they would do a reunion, even if 4 a hot second!

  • i had a leisure curl. damn i was fly!!

  • I'M ready to get my Scurl back after hearing this song...well maybe not. But THANKS FOR POSTING!!!!!

  • the cut of cuts from a highly underrated group!!!

  • Takes me back to better days!!!!!!

Thank you for putting this on!

    1966 in da house!!!!!!

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHH YESSSS

  • i have this version and they sped up the damn song, it doesn't sound as hard as the orignal version...but i still jam it tho.

  • I have this and a boatload of other Minneapolis extended singles that are either REALLY hard to find or not available at all. I hate to admit this but I had a friend put 'em on disc for me. It's GREAT car music..........great on the highway on the way to work but even better late at night on the way to or from whatever;).
