My first video finally. Going to re-make it because I was way nervous so sorry for the many mistakes. x.x I know its played way too many times too. You always learn from mistakes though right? And yes the riff is played in standard tuning and the riff turned out pretty good I think even though its kinda sloppy right now.

It sounds good man, but personally a little bit too fast without much of a foundation as far as I can see. I think you should take the time to incorporate lessof those really fast hammers and try to put some galloping inbetween there with some pinches inbetween every riff or tapping bridge outros? just how I feel that metalcore usually thrives upon that type of side of composition, but still sounded good aside from like the first few secs of the intro :)

It would be simpler in dropped D anyhow because in metalcore you use bar chords, and bar chords sound like shit in standard. Plus you palm mute your low D, A, D stings a lot. Which too sounds like shit in standard. Just go to dropped D. e b G D A D <--- All you do for dropped D is drop your low E down to a D.. thats it.

non theory stuff...you don t even know what your talking about. time signatures measure how many beats in a measure. a simple rhythm is usually done in 4/4. it is used in rock and metal because it is the easiest to sing over. if you use complex meters like 5/4 yes 5/4 is a timing or mixed meters the song losses it grove.
