  • In Shintaido the first is called taikyoku sho (and is the same as taikyoku shodan in shotokai). The second is called taikyoku dai, and is a Shintaido adaptation of the first. Sho meaning is 'formal' or 'correct', while the dai meaning is 'open' or 'expressive'.

  • Katas look like derivations of Shotokan Heian shodan and nidan.

  • The first one its taikyoku shodan...Its a kata that does shotokai and for then ...shintaido aswell...
