  • cutting straight to the center..

  • wtf es coreografia como en las peliculas, repito no es aplicable en la vida real solo en peliculas

  • this is complete nonsense

  • i don't wanna come near to him or i would be flying all around. . . LOL

  • why do they jump like that >_<

  • This guy was hurt, that guy was hurt, I was hurt, it was awsome!

Aikido is awsome..And the best part is being trown :D

  • aikido is coordination of bodyies if you coordinate to the aikido user you win(money)

  • @kwaknit1017 there no competition in aikido or something like that

  • with hard work yesterday I win today, with hard work today I win tomorrow, this is the virtue of practice.

  • It works real good against guys trying to karate chop you, shake your hand or run at you full speed with their hands down and chin in the air. Who does that though? Not one of these guys through a straight right or go the legs like anyone with more than 1 week of boxing or mma training. I want to see aikido in real action, im not saying it doesnt work, Im saying I want to see if they can compete against REAL fighters not some guy in a demo or pretending to be a kickboxer or bjj guy.

  • i am trained in karate in several years.. a respect all martial arts :) ossu.. Peace to all.

  • лол!

  • Classical Japanese Koryu for the (Satanic) New Age/New World. I know it looks pretty (kind of). But then churches look pretty-does that mean you want to be Christian? Overall conclusion: Useless.

  • con man.

  • if the students dont flip their limps will snap... so its the students learning how to break fall...

so break fall or snap you choose

  • the other thing i just gotta add is that this is not how it would go down on the street. 3 hell's angels are not going to just frolic and nicely chase you around and wait their turn to get their ass kicked. that's why it looks B.S.-ish. i hope the guys who are studying this art can understand why i'm skeptical. i just don't see it doing well against jiu-jitsu. but again, i know nothing about aikido.

  • it looks like B.S. to me, for sure. it looks like the 3 stooges are acting. but i don't know the first thing about akido, for real. at first glance, however, it looks totally bogus. i sure don't get it, but i'm open to being convinced. i'll have to do some homework!

  • seagal in 7th dan what can or what is the differace in 8th 9th and 10 is there a 12th what can they do?

  • the hand to the face is the best move : )

  • and is it helpful??? I'm thinking about starting to train aikido!!!!

  • @SRBNSSRB...the medium style that is between the soft and hard style and there's the soft style. The 3 styles developed as O-Sensei got older. If you watch video of O-sensei doing Aikido. You would see he does the same thing as Steven Seagal, which you say isn't Aikido. Aikido was designed for the battlefield, protecting yourself from sword attacks.

  • @SRBNSSRB LOL Height as means nothing. A short person can put down people 3 times their size. O-Sensei was a very short man and took down more his size. And the reason why you say Steven seagal is just acting. HE is that good at his marital art. He flows like water. And students are always train to fall correctly, because if you didn't, you would get hurt. And if you knew Aikido, you would know there's different styles of Aikido, There's the hard style which Steven Seagal does, there's...

  • LOL love it... Right here we go

    1. We can't prove it because lets say you apply Kotegaeshi without restraint then uke wouldn't be training again for a long time due to a broken wrist.

    2. Anyone in their right mind can see that certain (not all) techniques work.

    3. I'm not really into the spiritual thing so can't comment

    4. See 1. Also in kicking arts you use pads tosoften the blow, i've not yet seen pads that can stop a joint from being ripped apart

  • The poster blocked me for this post. Read it.

Aikido like any good scam, all the excuses are in place.

    1. We can't prove it works. (not allowed)

    2. If you don't think it works, you don't know as much as us (conceited to say the least)

    3. It actually offers a lot spiritually. (how does one measure that?)

    4. We can't spar. We're too deadly.

    5. If you study it and get ass handed to you, you didn't study enough. It takes 20 years to become good. Cheque or cash payments are fine.

    Suckers.

  • mogebycproblemem u stupid fuck this is aikido fuck ya all

  • You must have a bad instructor. I've been doing this for years. Everyone thinks that aikido is fake because they've never experienced it, and the ukes are trained to fall safely. Also, you don't have to be a "lot, lot" stronger if your technique is good.

Everyone watches UFC and thinks they're an expert in martial arts.

  • lol he isnt doing shit... actors are diving on purpose

in real life i would smash Seagals stupid face haha

  • seagal is a lot bigger than all of these guys.if he was 6 inches smaller than them i could think a litlle bit differently.

  • their attacks are funny, realy not real...

  • Attacks are mostly based on fence techniques (they often try to avoid defender's unsheathing), that is why they look how they look, isn't it?

  • open your big eyes more.....and look at what you see.....

  • i'm training BJJ as well as this. Trust me when your a higher grade in Aikido you'll be able to do what he is doing. Why do you think people train in this for 10+ years, it isnt bullshit, it just looks like that to some people.

  • @ukmale164 Agreed if you look Seagal is really hitting the pressure points if callused enough it really is possible i respect this man's martial l skill but i dislike how he is showing off oh nvm he is erh well sorta teaching too

  • So how much of the “flying” is done by the assailants? Is he really throwing them all by himself or are they instructed to support this movement (in order to not hurt themselves or whatever)?

  • @MoaiMaea Pretty much right MoaiMaea. The idea is that you submit to the lock or the throw a little so that you can fall out of it easily and not get hurt. It makes it all look a little fake. You can, however, run at a guy and resist the throw to some extent. Then you are likely to either injure a joint when the opponent puts some more power into the technique or it makes it a lot harder to fall out of it. I tried it a few times when I was training and regretted the idea.

  • I see. Alright.

  • @MoaiMaea Yeah, they just go with the flow. It's one of the basics of Aikido, or else you will be in some painful situations sometimes. But I don't know, it seems as if he's a but lousy with his technique. The uke are falling that quickly because they fear and respect Seagal, I think, because they know he's a high-graded Aikidoka.

If a lower graded toru would do this technique, the uke wouldn't fall that easily.

  • he's so good i wanna learn aikido

  • seagal!!!! not seagel
