These pyramids could pre-date the great flood. Nobody cared about cleaning off the pyramids when they thought the world was coming to an end, and the generations afterward went back to struggling to survive. The great civilizations all collapsed during the deluge.
I think there are still thousands of buried/hidden structures in the world. When I visited the Pyramid/temple in Coba, Mexico, I was stunned at how one side seemed to be completely swallowed up by the jungle.
Now, is this a giant pyramid? Maybe. I think archeologists have a duty to investigate to disprove, as much as prove. I mean...all expeditions started somewhere, no?
