@wangsta23232 To me the creature looked like a cartoon a bull terrier. The women found it endearing until the tongue with teeth shot out. Perhaps this was an example of mimicry which is quite common in the animal kingdom when a creature takes on a harmless appearance as here to lure its prey closer, but I may be crediting the script with more intelligence than was actually intended.

The movie is good. The problem about it is that the people who are in this movie doesn't have a clue what type of creature the aliens represent. The women thought that the green alien looks like a dog, eventhough it looks like an ugly mutated frog. The kid thought that the oxygen-breathing lizard looks like a bird when it clearly looks like a dragon. Next thing they might say that an alien that looks like a Metroid is a monkey!
