  • Holly shit !!! I'm so in love with it

  • wow

  • @RENDER1297 I had just one more question! How many packs of the clay did you use roughly for this sculpture? Thank you very much!

  • @mudpieeater HELLO .ask as many questions as you like, its not a problem,i used just under 1 pack for this, thanks all the best chris

  • Hello! This video is amazing!!!

    I have two questions:

    1) where do you buy your paper clay?

    2) do you put a matte coating on top after you paint? If you do, what is it called?

Thank you so much! I am very interested in making my own art doll, and your tutorial was extremely helpful!

  • And also, what size eyes do you use?

    Sorry for all the questions!

  • @mudpieeater hello ,ran out of space on the last response ,i will be trying a couple of matte sealers this week on a bisque doll i am restoring,i will let you know which one works out best .cheers all the best chris

  • @mudpieeater HELLO ,i buy the clay from a place called clay ally ,its an online shop in america, the shipping is fast and i find it best to buy 4 packs at a time as that is how many they can put in to a flat rate envelope,if you buy just one you will still have to pay the same as four for postage, the la doll premix is best like the one in slide show,i do not use matte sealer, but i do use oil paint to paint it ,as acrylic dries to fast-gives me no working time, eyes 10mm, thanks

  • THAT

    IS

    SO

    COOL!

  • Do you do custom dolls I need a boy and girl greenish, yellowish brightest in color. I have a picture of the characters that I need. What is your pricing, i am checking around. contact bushellmedia@yahoo.com

  • HI THERE, just plain old water, hope this helps, chris

  • what did you use to soften the clay? the liquid :)

  • so beautiful, you are very talented and have inspired me greatly. Gift to the world, when imagination is made real through art.

  • @MartyredxMaiden thank you very much ,your words are in them selves inspiring, all the best chris

  • are you useing paper clay

    ?

  • @fluffypinkhippo hello there ,yes this is paper clay, its called la doll premier pre mix.hope this helps .all the best chris

  • OMG ! Awesome !

  • @yorkKasia, thank you very much, i am going to try the corpses bride next

  • Very inspiring! She's absolutely gorgeous!

  • How did you fire this fantastic sculpture? Did you need a kiln or did you oven bake? You are so talented btw, keep it up!

  • @tevian3 hello thanks for your comments, there was no heat involved ,its a paper clay that air dries very hard.thanks again all the best chris

  • Will this work with air-dry clay...?xx

  • hello there.air dry clay is actually used for this doll .in some pics of the face you can see a paint brush this is used to sculpt as its quite stiff also this and a softer brush is used to apply water to the surface as after a time the clay starts to dry, brushing with water will reverse and stop this from happening.thanks for your interest all the best chris

  • @RENDER1297 Thanks! It's just I'm thirteen and it will never be as good as this, I know... but I would like to try. Air dry clay is cheaper than Plymer clay!xD How much clay will I need for a head around that size...?xx

  • @OrangeJuicexDxDxD you will need a piece the size of a small egg rolled out and wrapped around a polystyrene egg ,wrapping the clay around polystyrene or foil makes it go a lot further and prevents the model from becoming to heavy.your being thirteen means there is no reason why you should not become as good as you want ,people who excel at there interests in life often start when they are young .the only problem you may face is that young people often get board easy and dont stick with it

  • @OrangeJuicexDxDxD hello again.ran out of space in last reply .you may want to practice using plasticine ,as this never drys out you will all the time you need to perfect it. if you make a face you are realy happy with in plasticine you could make a mould of it and press the air dry clay in to it.hope this helps good luck ,all the best chris

  • wow hope u do more this is amazing !

  • You are so cool

  • thanks so much for this video. Ive been wanting to make on for myself and this was a great refrence that was very simple and quick for me to understand.

  • hello there.the clay is paper clay by hannie sarries-i think ive spelt it right! for me polymer clay looks to much like plastic.all the best chris.

  • What kind of clay is that? is it paper clay, or a polymer clay? I wanna make one ^_^

  • hello there.i got the lashes from e bay you can get them in a strip.saves money as the individual lashes cost a lot more.the skin is painted with oil paint thined with linseed oil this gives it the glossy look.but it does turn more matt as it dries.

  • how do you make the skin looking glossy? what do you use?

  • where did you get the lashes

  • HELLOTHERE. glad to see you liked the doll.the clay does contain paper .it is very strong when dry. there have been times when i wanted to start a head again so had to remove the eyes which required a hammer to get to them .as for making dolls in other materials ive stoped making them.as i hope to supplement my income with art of some sort. and had no interest in this doll so have gone back to oil painting for now as a doll take so long to make.hope that will be more successful in time

  • Hey i'm very interested in these dolls. I was just wondering were you using paper clay? Will it be very fragile? Do you do dolls with polymer clay? THANKS!
