I used iPhoto's one-click enhance button. Pretty lazy, I know! It still made a huge difference on some of the images though.

if you dont mind, where did you buy your camera? i mean from what country, im from the phils and im planning on buying my own canon 1000d but im still confused with whats a better pick, canon 1000d or sony a350..

I bought my camera from the UK. I haven't read anything about the Sony a350, so I can't help there I'm afraid! I'm a proper Canon fanboy, love their entire range so it was an easy choice for me.
