  • atleast he uses his blinkers... wouldnt want to get a ticket

  • What do you think you run 0-60 with those mods?

  • @crowtitleist I think 4.5 is safe guess if the tires don't spin too much.

  • @a707 thanks man. i do like the pull of the 4.10s though. it will definitely put you in the back of the seat. just sucks not really having a first gear and RPMs sit pretty high

  • @a707 man sometimes i wish my 04 GT had the 3.55 in them after watching you go up to almost 40 mph in 1st. instead i bought the car with 4.10s and second is maxing out at 55 6200 rpm.

  • @iCtrlAltAssault Yeah the 3.55s work great for me, it pulls strong through the gears.

  • @iCtrlAltAssault i have 4.10's in my 98 GT too. They are pretty aggressive haha.

  • stock 3.55 gears?

  • @a707 damn...

  • Did they make it "Mach" because is was pulling 1G? And is this car incredibly faster than a GT?

  • @ATLcameron In general it's about a solid 1 second faster in the 1/4 mile vs a GT with same skill driver and conditions. (stock vs stock)

  • @a707 That's not incredible considering I'm just looking for something a bit faster than my Honda Accord... What car would you recommend; something under $10,000. I was thinking of just getting an 01-04 Mustang GT; will I see a big difference in power? And what's the difference in "GT." What's the meaning?

  • lol yo accord would get ass fucked and out ran 10 seconds faster by that mustang

    :D terd

  • @ryanackerman864 Lol, I know...

  • @ATLcameron GT is short for grand touring our tourer... some people will argue turismo (italian form?) The GT cars (96-2010) are 4.6l SOHC V8 engines where the base model got a lesser V6 engine. The GT 99-04 were rated at 260hp and the newer 05-10 made 300-315 hp depending on year. Mach 1 (03-04) mustangs were rated at 305 and 315 hp but both made closer to 325hp. The Mach 1 is a significant upgrade over the GT. However a good mach 1 at 10k$ is gonna be a tough find.

  • @ATLcameron no the mach 1 is just a revived nameplate. Mach has nothing to do with G force. The Mach is not incredibly faster than the GT but it offers a significant number of serious performance upgrades over the GT.

  • and the gas gage still reads the same nice gas mileage

  • Very nice I got an 03 mach 1 as well. Procharger in the near future

  • @a707 forgot to say I was gonna swap it out at about 110k miles

  • @a707 hey man I just got a 03 gt for my first car. It has 99k miles and I was going to swap the motor out for the Mach 1 4v. Would it be easy or would I need to get new brackets and everything like that? Also would my 5 speed transmission work? I'm not sure if its the same as the mach 1.

  • @A4Eaton I really don't know anything specific about doing the swap. I would ask on some good Mustang forums, there's a lot of people who have a lot of knowledge on that kind of stuff, I'm not one of them.

  • @a707 What color is this bad boy?

  • @MysticDMBherb dark shadow gray

  • @a707 Very nice, thats the best color Mach ever

  • @A4Eaton Hey man it should fit right in. Look it up on some forums. Good luck

  • @A4Eaton The trans will fit and the engine cradle will accept the Mach 1. Where your going to have trouble is in the brake system, cooling, and electronics.

  • hey man does your shift knob seem to vibrate in your hand at about 5800-6000 rpm?

  • @MRwieduwilt Nothing real noticeable, but I really only touch the shifter when I'm shifting. I'd say it's normal to feel some slight vibration through the shifter, especially at high RPM but just a slight feeling.

  • @a707 thanks for the quick reply man. ive worked around it. you shoulda seen me yesterday... put 4 car lengths on a 2004 350z

  • @MRwieduwilt is it an after market shifter? Mine started doign that.. then i tightened the bolt that tightens the shifter in place.

  • @MRwieduwilt hey. If your on a stock shifter this is not a good sign (unless its a very slight vibration...) If its a serious vibration I would get it looked at. The stock shifter in the Mach 1 is a total piece of shit and is the first mod I ordered for my mach 1. the Steeda tri ax or MGW shifters are awesome upgrades.

  • What you use to mount camera? Mine vibrates like crazy..

  • @twiggy727 It's a 3 suction cup mount I stick to the window. I got it from "chase cam".

  • LOL signal @ 0:44

  • how much does a mach 1 go for?? i been wanting to get one and been thinkin between a cobra SVT or a mach 1. someone lz help??

  • These had the IRS right? I heard these Mustangs handle incredible compared to the live axle GT's.

  • @xilix No the Machs are live axle. The Cobra was IRS and yes were considered a big improvement in handling. As years passed more and more Cobra guys actually wished they had the solid axle as the IRS is generally not as good for drag racing. Many have actually taken out the IRS, and on the other side GT/Mach 1s have swapped the IRS into their cars. Apparently it's a fairly simple swap between the two cars.

  • @xilix only when you get on really bad roads. The live axle gets shit on a lot but its really not a bad system and it puts the power down a lot better. I bought my mach 1 over a cobra (partially) for the Solid rear axle.

  • @DaBluedude100 Finally, someone who dosent talk shit on a live axle. Your right, they only time ive ever encountered a problem is on pot holes and stuff. A live axle is infanitly stronger then IRS too

  • boy howdy does that thing rev quick!

  • This is by faaaarrr my most favorite Mustang sound ever!! Very nice car man!

  • You can here every single time you hit 100mph that little sound

  • @chemdryofsa You talking about the tire chirp?

  • @a707 i think he's talking about the whistle of the wind hitting your car. btw - ive also got a mach 1, and id like to know if the SCT tuner is worth the money. thanks man and i love your car!

  • @MRwieduwilt Yeah the tuner made the car feel a lot stronger, it was definitely worth the money IMO.

  • @a707 cool man thanks. hey, hows the mgw treating you? ive gotta get a new firewall and clutch adjuster and im looking for a short throw.

  • @MRwieduwilt I love the MGW. The throws are crazy short, it makes shifting hard and fast effortless.

  • @MRwieduwilt just put the mgw in my gt 2 months ago. amazing. and the cheapest out of all of them. great quality and since the tr3650 trans has built in stops, you dont have to use shift stops. In fact it says not to use them. You will never miss thrid gear either. just force forward and it automaticaly does the rest. Takes an hour to put in.

  • 130 ? ive been 150+ in my I/E only 93 LT1 formula. 13.80's with 121,000mi and my car just turned 18 yrs old, love my LT1 and bought it 10 yrs ago for 7,500 !!! like your stang too i i respect everyones car !!! very nice !!!

  • It's video like this that's gonna make me finally make me break down and buy a Mach 1.

    Great car man!

  • lol why is the blinker on I was thinking to myself is he going to turn going that fast?!?!?

  • @geezyfladies I was merging onto the freeway in front of people. It's just habit for me to turn my blinker on when you're supposed to, unlike most people I guess, I don't even think about it.

  • Wait you said 280hp at the wheels right? I've been looking to buying a mach 1 and advertised hp is 305hp, I'm just sorta curious what the drop off rate is, and are you running different gears by chance?

  • @sunnymuffins13208 280 is just a rough conservative guess, I've never had it on a dyno. I have stock gears (3.55).

  • @sunnymuffins13208 Mach 1s were rated at 305 but they actually made somewhere between 320-335. Estimated drop off is about 14-16% to the wheels. Modifications to the 4v go a long ways quickly as ford left a lot on the table with this engine. I made 309 to the wheels with a tweaked intake manifold and a 'mystery' set of cams ford installed for a warranty engine rebuild. (they dropped a cam and damaged it. Dont know what they replaced it with but its not a stock cam.

  • I have a 2004 Mach and it made last summer, 318 RWHP 333 RWTQ. I only exhaust bolt ons, cold air kit, 1/2" spacer, SCT Tune. The tune picked me up like 35 in each HP and TQ. IT was nice

  • eargasm

  • most beautiful sound coming from a car i've heard in a while

  • i saw the fuel go from half to 1/4 lol

  • how much would something like this cost around 15 grand?

  • @geepgeep567 It depends a lot on where in the country you live, but for the most part $15K is the upper range for a Mach 1 so you could probably find one in the lower teens depending on mileage.

  • @a707 yea i live upstate new york, i was thinking they'd be in the mid teens. I'm only 13 lol but im saving already, these cars are S I C K!

  • @a707 these used 4v, right?

  • I'll be taking that left hand turn at 130mph so look out. lol

  • What kinda power are you making? around 280whp roughly?

  • @550HPGTO Only a complete guess, but 280 at the wheels is probably close

  • @a707 Regardless.. That unrestricted 4v sounds disgusting.

  • @a707 I'd say closer to 300 rwhp man. The Mach's are pretty stout even from the factory. I've seen them dyno over 300 rwhp with just and intake and catback.

  • @a707 280 ? I have a supercharged 427R and they on average put around 345 to the wheels. And i must your shit is fucking quick bro. I'll say you have 300rwhp easily. maybe around 315.

  • @mcbrown36 Yeah maybe. I guess I just rather low ball if I dont know for sure than be like a lot of people who inflate their stats. I also think the 4vs tend to be faster than their power level would make you think maybe because of the gearing and powerband. Just look at the fact they only rate at 305-310 at the crank stock but have run high 12s in the right hands. You tell someone that doesnt know about 4vs that it's only got 260-280 at the wheels and theyd never guess it'll run low 13s or a 12

  • Stock Mach 1s have 305 to wheels... with some bolt-ons he is probably making 315 rwhp. I know b/c I have one myself.

  • @Poxian1 Hmm..305 is good. But with that awesome 4V if he put a cold air intake on there and had it SCT tuned he would probly gain about 35hp from it. The average for a GT 2v is a 22hp gain. I wish i owned a mach 1 with the vortech on my gt, OMG

  • @550HPGTO I have mine SCT tuned and I am putting my Borla s-type exhaust on in 1 week.

  • @Poxian1 OHH so nice. Ive got a steeda catback. It sounds great when it runs, as righht now i have my supercharger pulled off since the idler pulley decided to explode on me.

  • @550HPGTO That would be a pretty stout build. But you wouldnt get much more out of it without building the engine.

  • @DaBluedude100 in terms of peak capable power yea your right, but what i meant to say was the 4v would be able to reach that potential much more effectively than a 2v.

  • ok so you have just bolt ons but a boost gauge sitting on your steering column??? or is that a a/f gauge????

  • @MRLS1SS It's an Aeroforce scan gauge

  • buying one tomorrow...

  • Is it manual or automatic ?

  • @gorn0075 It's a manual

  • this thing definately has more mods than you stated in the description...way too fast for just bolt ons

  • thats was gonna be one fast turn......left turn at 130 almost nascar freakin sweet

  • Wow, seems too quick for a bolt on Mach. My mach kicks out about 550 procharged HP and that acceleration isnt that far off from what I see on mine. Almost seems like the speedo isnt calibrated for diff sized tires or something...sweet ride tho

  • @nightsun1103 Speedo is dead on, verified by radar. Just compare the RPMs to speed and you should be able to see it's not off (3.55 gears). They are some nice runs for a lightly modded car, but I wouldn't be happy if 550hp wasn't a lot better than this. I ran 13.2@104 before the tune (street tires 2.0 60 ft).

  • @nightsun1103 i know right, my cobra puts down 445 rwhp and its about as fast as my speedo.

  • that thing's a missile, you can hear it whistling

  • this thing pulls like crazyyyyy ... u sure u dont have anything added like nos or s/c?

  • i believe the best gears for a mach 1 is 4:30's thats what i have and there amazing i have full exhaust air intake pullies much more its crazy how much they add

  • @mattoverall21 True, I forgot about 4.30s

  • @a707 Nice car. Things a beast!

  • @mattoverall21 i was running 3.90 motive gears and they pulled godly and got decent ish gas mileage

  • Wow!

  • that's pretty fast

  • how much hp did you get from all of these mods?

  • what are the best gears for a mach 1?

  • @7xrepiv When people change them they typically put in 4.10 or 4.56. Stock is 3.55, and it's a pretty nice middle gear.

  • @7xrepiv a nice set would be 3.73. personally i think the 4.10s make the gears too short.

  • @SpdDemon69 There's not a lot of point going to 3.73 in a Mach 1 from 3.55s. In a GT going from 3.27s to 3.73s could be ok. I do agree some about making the gears too short. I like that I can take 2nd to 65mph+ and 3rd over 100, it's especially nice for road racing/back road driving... Good power without having to shift much.

  • @a707 yea i should have stated 3.73 for gt. and plus if u boost it you do not want short gears for a s/c.if you did then the vette and every other fast car would come with them. honestly i do not see the difference in 4.10s from 3.55, you shift more in a long race. plus at 65 your rpms are above 2k :/

  • @a707 3.27 to 4.10 in a gt is the best thing anyone could ever do ever

  • lighly modded? I don't believe it! That car looks quick, I thought I heard a whistle too.

  • @rayshady27 The full mod list in the description, just standard basic mods.

  • @a707 dude your car sounds awesome..

  • Damn dude, this Mach sounds fucking CHOICE. I want one of these so bad, and your car just made that a whole lot worse. :D

  • Oh okay just making sure you weren't holding anything back..How do you like the gauge?

  • What else is doen to it?Your not running a Interceptor Gauge for nothing.

  • @TheMrhoneycutt Full mod list is x pipe, cat back exhaust, sct tune, and k&n filter. The main reason I got the scan gauge was to monitor actual coolant temp when road racing, plus I just like it.

  • fast as shit and the blinker was on

  • god damn 1:05 to 1:20 sounds beast!

  • how far past the red line does the rev limiter kick in? never gave it all its got:/ good video though. i never really looked them up, what does the mach 1 have that the gt's don't?

  • @tteotd8993 I think the rev limiter is 7000ish. Most Machs without major mods run faster ETs shifting more in the 6200-6500 range, power drops off fast so you run slower if you use all the rpm. You can run out 1st gear but I generally shift 2nd @ 6500 and 3 & 4 @ about 6200. The main difference between from the GT is a different engine, it's a 32 valve 4.6L. The Machs also have 3.55 rear gear same brakes as the SVT Cobra, and a less rounded side rear window body piece (most people never realize)

  • @a707 if i'm not mistaken, the regular gt's have a 2 valve engine? and isn't the newer svt cobras equipped with independent rear axles?

  • your damn near burying that needle! haha

  • nice ride man sounds good too

  • Your Mach is friggen quick. Nice driving too.

  • 1st gear on these cars are awsome i have mach 1 and i love itt

  • Nice vid. That car looks crazy fast. I have a stock 2003 Mach1, plenty quick for me.

  • That first pull...u went threw that gear FAST!! is that the sct tune?

  • @SpdDemon69 I installed a canned SCT X3 tune and street tuned the AF with a wideband. Since the only thing I've changed is the exhaust (and a drop in filter) I didn't feel like I needed to spend a few $100 more for a dyno tune. It does seem to run hard so I'm happy with it.

  • @a707 i hear that the sct flash tune gives good kick from the throttle. did it do alot for u? how r ur feelings with the sct?

do u think its better then the predator?

  • @SpdDemon69 I've only used the SCT so I can't compare. I was disappointed that I can't use the 2 step rev limiter, apparently you have to have it turned on in a tune which for some stupid reason you can't do yourself. But otherwise yeah it made a very nice improvement as far as I can feel. I took it to the track once with the tune but the track was like driving on ice, best I did was 13.5. I ran 13.2 before the tune with a 2.0 60'. I've taken the tune out and it definitely didn't feel as alive.

  • @a707 well i gotta say ive never seen a car leave from 2k rpm that freakin strong. and u dont even have gears!!!. wtf man that first gear was gone. unless it was all wheelspin but i cant tell. doesn't look like alot if there was.

  • @SpdDemon69 There was a little spin there but overall it does hook up pretty good on the street. It's much harder to get it to hook at the track on the street tires.

  • @SpdDemon69 Yea, he must've had the gears tuned or something, that was a strong first.

  • @Pendragon1989 hell yea that's like a supercharged pull

  • @SpdDemon69 Mach's came with good all-around gears factory anyways.

  • This vid makes me miss my Mach, mine was DSG as well with nearly the same mods just no 4:10's. Had some girl lose control of her car on the interstate and swerved in front of me, I t-boned her at about 50...no more Mach this sucks

  • I can feel your pain there... My last car was totaled by a guy that ran a stop sign. I don't have 4:10s btw, stock gears.

  • Sweet car.I`ve raced a few with my 98 gt with p.i swap , gears , and full exhaust. Nobody won basically a tie to 150mph but they sure look good though

  • Must. . . . . not. . . . . fap. . . . .

  • Your'e blinker is on...;-)

  • the acceleration from 80 to 100 is amazing!!

  • @juanacious Thats the 4v for ya.

  • @lllTechniqlll and now(2011' & UP) every GT will have that!! =D

  • @juanacious but the newer GT's still have one problem... there just so damn heavy = \

  • @lllTechniqlll that is so true...history always repeats itself--by the early 70's the once light mustang was bulgy and heavy...even though it had more powerful motors under the hood...seems to be what is happening now too.

  • @lllTechniqlll I'm glad they're not Challenger/Camaro heavy though... I really like the 2010+ body style, and I love how they look small-ish compared to the the bulkiness of the Challenger and Camaro.

  • @juanacious Even in my stock Mach 1 it's pretty incredible.

  • nice sound car (Y)

  • i would average 26.5 mpg at 85 to 90mph. now my gt which is an 08 has 410s at 70mph im showing 26 mpg. I have no tune yet but i will next week.

  • when my gt had stock 331s i would actually get better gas milage doing like 85 to 90 mph. i guess that rpm range is the sweet spot for the engine. i did this several times from kansas city kansas to topeka kansas.

  • i dident mean anything bad just that it seems more then lightly moded. sweet mach 1 btw. i hope to get one soon, with in the next 5 months

  • @frankrizzooo Stock rear end gears 3.55, stock 5spd.

  • dude what gear set are you running?

  • lmao, lightly modded......

  • I'm not exactly sure how to take your comment, but yeah it's lightly modded.

  • haha, i bet it would take flight.

  • THIS IS PURE SEX TO MY EYES

  • And ears.

  • Ive got an '04 Mach 1. I have Mac long tube headers, Pypes off road h-pipe, magna flow catback, JLT ram air intake, and a custom SCT tune and im putting down 304 hp and 318 lb of torque, so you should be really close to 300 hp. All you need is the LT headers to let it exhale a little better and you got it. These cars are quick stock, but throw a couple of mods at them and they are damn rockets.

  • long tubes are great for low end torque but if you want your car to make true power past 3500/4 grand get shorties a weiand intake and spend the 200-350 to get your heads ported polished. after that better think about doing something to that trannie coz itll b taking a beating. and if you get a proper shift kit youll put that power down a whole lot better. long tubes for show, shorties for a pro.

  • @MrThejangler

You lose a bit of torque when you put LTH's on this car. I learned that the hard way.. Unless you got some type of F/I going on, LTH's are not going to help a lot. The only thing I've really noticed with them on is that it sounds a hell of a lot better.

  • american power!!!!!!

  • FUCK YES

  • the speedometer is like "FUCK ME.. i cant keep up!!!!" haha nice bro

  • haha thats exactely what i was thinking

  • Wow. This vid really makes me miss my Mach. I really hope to own another one someday. I love Cobras but I really think it's great how Ford brought back the Mach 1 even if it was only for two years.

  • I agree, it's a cool underdog car.

  • how much horsepower do you think you've got in it?

  • I really don't know... Less than 300rwhp

  • i love the sound of those dual over head cams screaming when it revs hard

  • goes good.

  • IMO last true muscle car. (naturally aspirated motor, manual trans, solid rear axle, simple design)

  • automatic or manual??

  • manual

  • damn that thing got up.. nice car.. i love to see mustangs that are tuned insteaD OF JUST EXHAUST

  • really?

  • I find it weird u just ask a simple question and people say its a bad comment....like what the hell

  • SWEET MACH 1 RACER DUDE!!

  • wow nice man.. i love machs!! i really like those gauges.. i have an 02 gt and i wish mine looked like that!! i also wish my car was that fast lol

  • This is the best video of a Mach1 acceleration test on youtube that i've seen. Really lets you see how fast a mach is with just a few bolt ons. Nice car man!

  • nice runs man, quick for the mods you have

  • My dad had a 69 Mach 1, I own a 97 GT Cold Air Kit mod what else is there to say Mustangs Rock!!

  • GT, MACH 1, COBRA these cars ROCK!!!!
