  • I have been trying to find this song for so long, Ii hear it on Fuck it the snowboard vid and Im like "YAY" I FOUND IT LOL :) LOVE THIS SONG

  • @Lespaulalpine- I enjoy The Beatles as much as I do any of my favorite bands and, I have yet to make a comparison between the two bands discussed on this video; However, if you want to label me, Hippie would be more appropriate not hipster. I'm a Psychedelic Rock lover, above any other genre of music. I think someone's looking for attention this morning. You've got it sweets.

  • @serenesyreeta yay. Attention.

  • Now help me out here Bitterman. Alright, Alright, When I first heard this song I thought the only way it would surpass me getting really pissed off at it is if Julian Lennon came out with it. This bunch of no hoper, fucking losers are fucking profiteering off The Beatles sound which they created over 45 years ago. Die in a fire. In conclusion, any fucktards can copy The Beatles and be successful. it doesn't take a genius to know that The Beatles are the best, most successful band in history.

  • the beatles were barely above average... they just had no competition.

  • when i first heard this song i tried to find it by searching " The Beatles - Everyday"

    these guys rip!

  • NOW that's what I'm talkin' 'bout !!! You know that the Apocalypse is near when newer bands are ripping the Beatles and doing an excellent job at it! When you hear someone that actually matches the skill of Hendrix.....you will know the end is here!

  • eargasm

  • fuck the government

  • love how it goes 'I don't have the verve to belong to this dead side' because the verve is my favourite band of all time but tame impala definently is up there

  • I fucking don't get why this band isn't known by everyone yet, I saw them open up for MGMT, they made MGMT look bad, they were so much better then management. They were just so chilled and cool, it felt like everything was slomo, I felt free, when they played this song, It seemed at the time anything in the world is possible, It's hard to find songs that can do that to someone. This is my favorite band of this new era. I love Tame Impala.

  • sick

  • Truly in my opinion, the best fucking song of theirs. They are mindblowing!

  • @serenesyreeta You are now on the "To Kill List. Fucking hipster bitch.

  • fuck the goddamn beatles .they and their music is dead and gone history.tame impalla are amazing.i hate beatles music(loved it 40 years ago when it was relevant)and love T.I's music.if they are similar i would like both.the beatles became the establishment they had previously rejected.australia has presented the world with yet another gem.it amazes me the amount of musical integrity which resides in australia.it became apparent with myself back when hunters and collectors came about.goday mates

  • OH MY GOD YOU ARE ALL TAKING IT IN THE WRONG WAY. I AM JUST SAYING THAT EVERYTHING HAS BEEN INFLUENCED BY SOMETHING. ALL I MEANT BY THE EARLY PERIODS OF ART SHIT WAS THAT THEY HAVE CREATED ALOT OF OUR INSPIRATION HENCE THIS WHOLE THING ABOUT TAME IMPALA SOUNDING LIKE THE BEATLES.

    FUCK!

WE ARE ALL EQUALLY UP OUR OWN ASS LETS JUST END THIS "I KNOW MORE ABOUT CREATIVE INSPIRATION THAN YOU DO." MY COMMENT HAS 18 THUMBS UP DEAL WITH IT

  • @edsoad LOL! just for this comment im making that 22 thumbsup haha!

  • @underfliptown

Thanks for commenting, made me come back and listen to this song again. ;)

  • @edsoad such a good song man, the whole album is choice. Apparently the next one to come out isn't gonna sound as much like this one which kinda sucks but it could potentially be even better which would be just peachy.

  • Fuckin' tune!!!! I'm a new fan!

  • john lennon was a musican as well OMGWTFBBQ THEY THE SAME

  • he even sings in a scouser accent

  • FUCK IT

  • Thumbs up to this song in "FUCK IT"

  • @1fullyflared1 I have watched every Forum vid since The Resistance, and each of them has gotten me hooked on a different artist. I wonder if team members choose the music... Whoever it is has a KEEN set of ears.

  • hehe remids me of surfers haha, sickest song

  • If you guys like this kind of music, make sure to youtube my 2 person band called pioneer zephyr. We are from Austin Texas, and could use some constructive criticism on a few of our songs and would love to hear what you guys think of us, thanks.

  • This guitar sound is amazing. I like the sound these guys produce more than their songwriting. though this song is pretty brilliant

  • the album version sucks this one is better

  • the guys are from my hometown of perth im not impressed ive seen better local acts ie the novocaines,

  • nice 90s rock band

    long hair, garage sound, nice

  • @tustortugas i agree with almost everything you've said! But Im pretty sure its more 60's rather then 90's hehe :)

  • @OskIsNotAsian definitely more 60's, doesn't sound much like 90's.

  • Goddamn it!

I'm finally at the bottom of the music barrel scraping the "best new albums" list from Pitchfork and I'm finally not totally and absolutely disgusted by one of their picks.

I was checking this band out, and all I get a pretentious assholes comparing this to the Beatles!

This is why we can't have nice things (music), folks!

  • Is this Album available in the US yet?

  • Saw them opening for MGMT last night. This song sounds great live.

  • can everyone shut up about lennon, cream, hendrix etc! those were great bands but Tame Impala is great for their stuff for different reasons, its new, and not really fair on them to be compared to that lot all the time!

  • @strikedead Surely being compared to them is a dream come true,a huge compliment?

  • @strikedead agreed

  • Hendrix and Lennon made love and this is their baby. What a beautiful baby it is. I call it! Lendrix!

  • @Scoob505 you found the perfect words to describe this :)

  • Chorus-Paperback Writer?

  • I found this gorgeous band accidentally while surfing in the net and yay, I can say it was pure destiny. besides the doors I have never met music that soaks in my soul, in my brain and spirit that strong. the guitar solo in this song is just blowing up my mind. and hell yay, it´s a very good blow. actually the best ever.

thanks for filling up myself with brightness and blessedness, thanks for inspiring me. keep on flowing with your guitars boys, you´re legendary!!!!

  • you should hear the version of this song on their new album 'innerspeaker' it sounds better in my opinion

  • these dudes rocked my jocks last night, very good band

  • i say they have that unique Tame Impala sound

  • i remember this from the channel v ad last year or the year before.

still love this song to this day.

  • Comment removed

  • anyone now any sweet as bands like the impala that play today - wolf mother, for example...

  • I think some of the riffier songs sound a lot like Cream. it,s like Cream, hendrix, zeppelin and jefferson airplane with a whole new australian twist!. and i Love it!

  • @maxboy45 "new australian twist"

  • It's too easy to say they sound like The Beatles. The Beatles never really did the soaring guitars thing.

I think a Jimi hendrix/ Led Zep comparison is more apt

  • not bad, pretty good, sound like the beatles to anyone else??

  • l'm gonna have to agree with the popular opinion and say its a cocktail of many bands, including the Beatles.

  • the verse riff + vocal is sick as fuck

  • oh god i love this song

  • they are actually ducks with horns.without there summer wings, cos they are feeding and go stealth...

  • Not clone, but réincarnation !

  • beatles clone?

  • No, but i do see what you mean. Very very hippy and very very cool. wopwop!

  • no.

  • Gives new hope to the industry, fargen rad music

  • this song is pretty much fantastic

  • Oh my god, is this John Lennon's ghost?

  • @boltedankle

    def know what you mean

if you listen carefully though, the voice's timbre sounds slightly more like George Harrison's

at any rate, TI's record is absolutely SICK

  • word

  • @boltedankle SERIOUSLY> this sounds sooo like the beatles. are we talking about john lennon reincarnated in the year 2000 and forming a band called tame implala? I think we are

  • @boltedankle John Lennon ghost? NO WAY!! John lennon just means a comercial music with a lot of money... hate that "Gaylennon"!

  • Comment removed

  • @1MyGreece Are you serious?! First of all.. commercial*, second of all, John was far from that -.-

  • @SweetChick10101 hahahaha, hey beatlemaniaco.... are you saying that John was far from comercial? are you saying that all propaganda of john lennon is far from comercial? all propaganda of john and yoko are far from that? hahaha... ok, go read and see the music history and after we talk. have a nice day man ;))

  • @1MyGreece Lol fail... I have read the music history... and saying that John speaking out for what he believes in is propaganda would be considered, AN OPINION. :P No facts to it, sorry.

  • @boltedankle Sounds more like George Harrison to me!!!

  • @boltedankle

I´ve got the same thought xD!

  • @boltedankle You'll be a ghost if you don't stop being a stupid loafer wearing cunt of a hipster.

  • @Lespaulalpine Shhhhhhhh! Please, I love this song. Many people love this song. What's that? You can draw some similarities between Tame Impala and the Beatles? Well done! Why don't I see your stupid petty comments on an Oasis video, hmmm? Now, either shut up and appreciate good music, or go smoke a joint and chill the fuck out, ok? :)

  • they're not actually impala!

  • love your guitar work and overall sound, Caringbah Bizzos here we come!

  • I saw them at Greenfest too, I was really impressed. I'd never heard them before yesterday.

  • Tame Impala are amazing. I saw them at Groovin' The Moo the other week. Amaaaaaaazing :)

  • Some of you dumb cunts have absolutely no idea about psychedelic rock....go back to your commercial shit.

  • I thought they were pretty good... and if they were so bad, why would you come on Youtube, look up one of their songs, and comment on it? Seriously, are you that fucking sad?

  • I thought they were awesome, its just that the guitars were really distorted and hard to hear.

  • u dumb emo cunt

  • tame impala were fucking awesome at hisense, i was suprised they would support such a shit band as the living end , i only went for tame impala and they were amazing

  • LIVING END? i cry every time im waiting at the main stages at big day out and living end come on stage. i thought they realised all their songs sounded exactly the same, so they decided to die or something?

  • Reminded me of Beatles

  • godmait tame those impalas! woooooop awesome song.

  • Sounds very like Cream.

  • saw these guys live on thursday and they were so good :)

  • at last a different sound to modern music,

you can hear a lot of influences in this, its very good

the problem is with most new bands who claim to be "different" they just sound the same as all the other "different" bands out there,

at last one that is actualy different.

but before you claim this is the same sound as there was say 30 years ago. this music is being released NOW not then.

  • i agree, there isn't much difference now. but there has also been simply too much already different music in the last ca40 years. almost every possibility of music (instrumental, that is) has already existed. everything reminds you of something that was there before. so you can't really be different, but you can be like good bands and have success that way

  • My art teacher once said to me:

"We live in the post-modern era, everything that is being done has been influenced by something that has been done before."

  • Well, things were always like that.

    Since the mankind exists.

  • When mankind first started, nothing had been achieved. As we progressed we started to think and come up with ideas and create new things.

Now, so much things have been achieved that it's so hard to think of completely original ideas by yourself. In order to create a new idea, we gather inspiration. Unlike in the early periods of art where they created our inspiration.

  • I agree.

But speaking of music, even music from 50 years ago had influences from other genres, it didn't came out of nowhere.

  • Yeah, we've been it the post modern period since the early 20th century.

  • @edsoad Every single piece of art is based in inspiration. To be original, it's about adding our own unique voice to it. Cave drawings were inspired by nature, and visions. Even the classical composers like Mozart were drawing heavily on the composers before them. 60's psychedelic rock (which inspired Tame Impala), was inspired by blues, jazz, and the early rock that came before it. Inspiration and original ideas have ALWAYS gone hand-in-hand.

  • @edsoad

Nature was our inspiration before we created our own inspiration.

  • @edsoad

That which has been is what will be,

    That which is done

    is what will be done,

And there is nothing new under the sun.

    :-)

  • @edsoad whats this even supposed mean?

  • @edsoad You're talking bullshit, mate. Even the earliest art was inspired by something - usually nature.

  • @edsoad This is pathetic justification for modern bands to sound just like The Beatles. You are saying it is impossible to reach the artistic credibility of early/the "first" artists. What makes you think our creative process is any different from another time period's?

  • @JerseyFinch It isn't.

  • Something more disappointing than new music stuck in the past, is a youtube comment about new music stuck in the past. This is because the commentator's real priority should be to make new music unstuck in the past before bitching.

  • Also, I don't think this band fits the "stuck in the past" description.

  • @edsoad

P.s. your "possibility of originality lowering over time" theory is boring and hackneyed. Anyone who understands probability in a mathematical light, social movements, or has written music can tell you that you're a ding dong for bringing it up again.

  • @JerseyFinch I want to delete the comment because it's not even conveying what I was trying to say, and I sound pretentious.

I was just justifying why Tame Impala sometimes sounds like The Beatles.

Anyway, it's not like you're even saying *why* I'm incorrect.

  • How do you explain technology, time etc. these are infinite phenomenons bud, new things happen all the time :)

  • Completely agree suademember, there is hope yet!

  • fuuuck i love this song!

  • Saw them at festival hall with luke steele and mgmt! Fucking epic!!
