They ran this AFTER Hatch agreed to their pledge not to raise the debt ceiling. Don't listen to these snakes. Thay hate you, hate America, and hate fiscal responsibility. The true Reaganite in the room here is the guy willing to make tough choices--Barack Obama.
Sorry, REAL SPINE is NO RAISING OF DEBT CEILING, PERIOD!!!! MAJOR CUTS to non-constitutional departments and agencies, spending slashed, and NO "BALANCED Budget" amendment farce!
All that a BBA means is we can continue to spend on UNCONSTITUTIONAL projects, as long as we take in as much as we are putting out. NO, NO NO!!!!!!
Wake up, fellow Americans! The BBA is another Trojan horse! It's NOT the answer, limiting Washington to the Constitution is!!!
I thought I just read that he's promised not to raise the debt ceiling? It seems like there's a difference to borrwoing a little bit of money for some investments and trying to raise your credit limit in a time of dire financial instability - a diffeence Orrin probably understands because of his 35 YEARS IN THE SENATE.
This guy is one of the worst RINOs in the senate. When he was the Chair of the judiciary committee he let Senators Leahy and Rockefeller piss on him every chance he could. He's a total clueless chump.
Let this poetry spouting loser retire to a life of salon readings for illegal immigrants he loves so well.
@intrn6 His plan has merit but personally he's no hero. In 2006 many tried to draft him to overthrow the wretched liar John Boehner. He refused to answer the call. Just look at his wimpering response to TPM on the Grand Echezeaux issue. He's okay but nothing special.
Club for Growth has no interest in honesty. Rather, they are exploiting Utah's system to demonstrate their own power. Take your big Washington organization and exploit another state. Senator Hatch is primed to become the Chairman of the Finance Committee where he can effectively lead the fight for HIS BBA and comprehensive tax reform. Do America a favor, and stop flexing your unprincipled muscle.
Club for Growth is one of the most dishonest organizations in America. Senator Hatch has never voted to raise the debt ceiling when a majority of Republicans haven't done the same thing. Without debt ceiling raises, THE COUNTRY SHUTS DOWN. In addition, he has been pushing for a Balanced Budget Amendment (BBA) for 20 years. This year, his sponsored BBA is the toughest ever proposed and it has the full support of EVERY Senate Republican--the first time this has ever happened.
Senator Hatch doesn't even have a serious opponent yet, and there are already character attack ads against him? This ad is extremely childish. If Senator Hatch ends up being the most financially responsible candidate, of what use is this ad?

Also, Senator Hatch voted AGAINST the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac bailout. Get your facts straight. You continue to prove yourself dishonest.

Paul Ryan voted for TARP. Why not attack him? Again, unprincipled and dishonest.

The message to the Senator is simple: your credit card is maxed out. No more debt.
