@tubecat72 I really hate this new trend of compromising values among Republicans. The GOP expects us to embrace John McCain & Meg Whitman because some Democrats won't be afraid to vote for them. I say, "BE AFRAID!" I say they should endorse a candidate that will do what's supposed to be done: balance the budget, cut spending, & reduce (or eliminate) taxes. Why is the GOP afraid of a real fiscal conservative values?! The GOP wants conservative Democrats in the party.

@MishuTaste The whole political system has become a melting pot. I think our only hope is that more states declare independence from the Federal Reserve owned (government). The current trend is for a majority of electives to have a high-end pay (including career politicians) to continue their criminal actions. If you want to find a typical politician.. just follow the money trail! If you want to find a true Constitutional-based conservative, they won't be found on MSM.

California's tax structure is a very large part of the problem; the state was in good shape until Prop 13 passed. Other key problems are: illegal aliens using public services, the ease of getting bond measures passed (voted on by citizens) and the difficulty of getting a budget passed (requires 2/3 majority vote by State legislature). Meg has no clue.
