Kenny Delmar ,a great radio/TV actor-announcer {his most famous role was "Senator Claghorn" on Fred Allen's radio show; he later used that voice as "The Hunter'} was McBragg's voice (and everyone else). This was initially telecast as part of "THE UNDERDOG SHOW" in 1966.
0:55 But then the middle-eastern oil barons paid me off not to employ it and that's why today we don't have nanotech photovoltaic paint all over our cars that makes them not have to ever be charged or filled with gas again.
1:11 Well if you used nanotech photovoltatics, they can just use infrared and you wouldn't HAVE that problem.

i remember watching this as a kid and then in the 80's in my 20's i had a boss that we used to call commander mcbragg cuz he always was bragging about all this stuff he did!..and we figured it was all bs!!!...lol..
This is what I love about YOUTUBE. Despite the constant, idiotic format changes; all ya gotta do is think of a subject, type it in and there it is. I have not had the name CDR McBragg jump across synapses in 40 years but someone else did and put it up. So much nicer than battling the Gorn.
My son is a "young" Commander McBragg. I've heard him tell his girl friends some of this most outrageous stories...and they believe him! I think it's called bullsh*t.
You know, I'd like to see Commander McBragg go up against Clyde Crashcup from the old chipmunk cartoons. A guy who claims to have done everything talking with a guy who claims to have invented everything.
Major difference being that Clydes got the whole chalk thing that he uses to draw everything in existance.
What? Lie? PAH! McBragg would never sully his lips with anything but the truth. He was simply struck by inconvenience and poor luck. Those Wright Brothers were fortunate for that passing cloud.
this cartoon may have been a bad influence on children. It teaches that it is OK to lie, exaggerate, and mislead people. I would not be surprised if this was a favorite cartoon of many current-day politicians, lawyers, and Goldman Sachs employees.
Joe (Underdog) Harris explained that McBragg was a bit of a braggart (see also Baron Munchausen) whose voice was based on British actor C. Aubrey Smith
