  • I am going to be working with the 4 H in our town. Could you please tell me how you made your boards. I realy want tho thank you for your lessons. Thanks again!

  • We cut the lap loom from masonite board, 9"x13". The notches are cut at 1/4" intervals. We noticed that the notches broke off easily, so we glued white electrical wire cover to the 9" ends then cut the notches. It was much stronger and there was no more breakage. You can make this loom from cardboard or plywood as well. You can make any dimensions you want. I find 1/4" notches best, but for younger students I use 1/2" intervals. Enjoy!

  • This is a 9"x13" masonite lap loom that has an electrical wire cover on each end. Then notches are cut into the ends at 1/4" intervals. The loom is then wrapped with cotton warp string.
