Humans need protein to function if you don't eat meat and use supplements you're just fooling yourself because they take the protein from animals too you need a large variety of amino acids which you can't get from cereal they HAVE to come from animals. As an older vegan I'm embarrassed by Onision and all young vegans who try to FORCE our lifestyle on others. Though we have made this decision for our own personal reasons we should not assume those who still eat meat, dairy and eggs, wear leather or fur, are terrible people. I assume they are uninformed but I don't push my wants onto them. I figure in time more and more people, as we learn what is happening, will become vegan but until then I can only expect so much out of myself, not others.

I'm not intentionally dissing vegetarians here, so please don't get offended about what i'm saying, your diet is your choice. But animals have been slaughtered to be eaten. If we don't eat them, then isn't it just a waste of that animal? Maybe you may think not eating them would stop the slaughtering of animals, but there are so many meat eaters in the world that it won't really change much. Also, without killing any animals, they'll eat all the other food you eat, eg vegetables. Foodchain?

As an older vegan I'm embarrassed by Onision and all young vegans who try to FORCE our lifestyle on others. Though we have made this decision for our own personal reasons we should not assume those who still eat meat, dairy and eggs, wear leather or fur, are terrible people. I assume they are uninformed but I don't push my wants onto them. I figure in time more and more people, as we learn what is happening, will become vegan but until then I can only expect so much out of myself, not others.

If we don't eat them, then isn't it just a waste of that animal? Maybe you may think not eating them would stop the slaughtering of animals, but there are so many meat eaters in the world that it won't really change much.
