  • we go down here all the time.

  • It looks different by boat. Some people don't like going through cities on a canal boat, but most canals were built to service the industrial areas, so seems a shame to miss.

  • trippy shit mate but cool

  • Ah you want to see the one where I go past a lot of trees and the sun streaking through in between gives a strobe effect.

  • Brill mate! carnt wait till our barge trip in 3 weeks!!

  • Going in to Birmingham?

  • Done the Black Counrty Ring a couple o times now and that brought back some good memories like repelling boarders in the "badlands" of Aston, and the goddess in lycra jogging by Farmer's Bridge...

...must go again soon (and take a decent camera with me this time)

  • It was fine for me this time, just a couple of kids who wanted me to give them a lift over to the non-towpath side!!! Hmmm....

  • Nice.

  • Some of us took the "hard mans route" turning at Salford Junction North rather than South, through the 11 locks of the Garrison and Camp Hill Flights and found sanctuary at Catherine de Barnes. Mind you, we did start from Curdworth so only had a nine hour day.

  • I hadn't decided which route and it was time left in the day that decided which route in the end!

  • Brilliant!
