  • SHUT UP AND SQUAT !!!!!

  • what... the... fuck...

  • I wonder if Finger Man would agree to train me. I'm sure he could transform me from a muscular 200 lbs to a flesh and bones 120 lbs in no time.

  • Wtf kevine is this your friend dude?

  • Comment removed

  • when i see this guy i want to puke.

  • shoot this guy!! i dont hope he has kids

  • Valdimore from harry potter is nothing but a skinny nothing that needs some food , Ya what hes showing Levrone has some truth but you should atleast do that after a workout and at half rom.

  • Thanks for posting Kev! You crack me up with some of the stuff you do. I was rolling on the floor when "Finger man" started posing and you were choking on raw nuts! Funny thing though, Yates suggested static holds for strength increases but I guess he used them on the last rep of the last set. I do them when I need fast strength increases.

  • this for me makes amazing sense...you are putting the muscles under pressure for longer than if you did full lift... but not straining them. i do agree the guy is alittle on the thin size ... he probably trains come than he eats

  • oh yeah trolling is an art

  • he looks like the skinny guy from the machinist !!

  • Troll No,But knowing Yes!the princple in this vedio shows without doing constant rips and sets, one can gain strenght fast using just a single rip,or isometric contraction.it is worth trying for a week and see if You agree.

  • This Man shows what short of muscles You would get just from static contraction.his muscles are like steel.strenght without the Bulk! isometric rack training ,fast strenght building excercise,You will not get Body Builder type of muscles, but you will get amazing strenght in such a short time, great vedio!

  • @Robert317able either you are the most convincing troll in the world; or you're being serious. I just can't tell. I pray it's the first one.

  • this is new age bullshit

  • @aaronalwines Actually, Dorian Yates advised using static holds after your last rep of your last set for increasing strength. It works. The skinny guy is funny but correct. KL is brave! Thank you Kev for posting!

  • LAUCH!!!

  • im sorry but this skinny fuck doesn't know shit about working out

  • maybe he wants to be skinny and really strong so he doesnt eat much. i think he wants to be like bruce lee, skinny but powerful

  • He looks like nothing first off.

  • Totally understandable yet totally laughable.

  • Rolfmao this training might work for some, but to me its like taking advice from a poor man about getting rich.

  • cool plates

  • @imattila Aww, calling me names that you normally project towards your mom. How cute! I'm wondering what else do you have to say about me? Continue to spam Kevins' youtube page, as I won't say nothing more. Have fun little boy!

  • @imattila Ok, please don't. I beg you, don't!

  • @imattila Let me guess, you're so much bigger? Aww....

  • this guy is skinny, but kevin wouldn't ask him for advice if he doesn't have some good body building philosophy..just as simple as that

  • @carlsontsang Again, another youtuber who is invariably misconstrued. :(

  • you just cant advertise the generlal public to eat raw chicken i mean come on?

  • kevin you are one lucky son of a bitch to come out of that rapists lair alive

  • This is such a joke!!! lock out training is ok as an extra excersize to do every once in a while to help prepare your CNS for larger weights, but to say doing full rom is not neccesary....come on, that is just retarded. so according to this guy, who by the way looks straight out of the holocost, andy bolton could have become a 1,000 lb deadlifter just by doing deadlift lockouts...I call bullshit!

  • @Cambria2007 " It puts the raw food in the mouth!" lmao

  • @Cambria2007 I'm sure Kevin went there for no reason then. Don't be so foolish Cambria!

  • @InferiorThanYou ....You obviously have no real knowledge of training then. Kevin did this to check out something new, but even he knew the whole time this method was bullshit. If not, why don't you see him training like this in any of his later videos?

  • @Cambria2007 Because he implemented it for a short period of time, then stopped. They both have different goals. Furthermore, the raw diet is far superior than this refined crap everyone eats. You obviously have no real knowledge of nutrition then. Like how we can all make judgments when we don't know each other? The only difference is, you decided to remark about something you know nothing about. I did. - Done.

  • funny to watch levrone getting tought how to lift heavy weights. levrone was a ridiculously strong athlete decades ago and i'm lol at his face as The Finger Man is trying to teach him proper form. respect to the finger man and kevin for being open minded enough to go out and listen.

  • This is very similar to John Little's Max Contraction Training. Where you only do static contraction at Peak Contraction.

  • To be honest with you, I would love to see Kevin continue to do these types of videos and show his results of different forms and styles of exercising/bodybuilding.

Instead of hearing people just talk shit about the skinny guy, I want to see what the results can possibly or never be. Maybe if Kevin could do this stuff for a couple weeks to a month and show the results..

  • Activating ALL the muscle fiber causes gain. Thats how it works. Its not the range of motion. Skinny dude is cut (not fat), and has completely different body structure than Levron. You probably would do best reading medical journals and abstracts or studies to figure out yourself what REALLY works.

  • fucking retard video

  • bullshit! look at the finger man, does he look strong? kevin you cannot be serious lol

  • taking advice from slave camp victims..

    make perfect sense.

  • is this the same dungeon where he took in the little boys for 'fun'? Scary looking gym, get out KEVIN, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!

  • BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!! :D

  • kevin eres el mejor

  • tahat is what u need to feel ..... to be like me SKINY :)))

  • Dude almost gave himself away. See how hard he`s trying not lo laugh at 2.06

  • feel it in the spine?!?!? hahahahhaa dumbass!!!

  • Comment removed

  • this shit blew my fuckin mind!!!

  • this guy looks like a joke... do not know why kevin is working with this chickenchestguy

  • Yes 120 pounds men always give great training advices! THey know everything about training

  • @UrbanOwnage I luv your sarcasm :P

  • Why are we listening to this Finger Man if he looks like a twig? Seems like his theory DOESNT work

  • lol :)

  • KL is lucky he didnt wake up with a piece of tape across his mouth and a sore arse. Im sorry, but its irresponsible to market the opinions some anorexic halfwit who advises eating raw chicken. That could kill you. I just hope people see FM for what he is and isnt influenced by his complete rubbish. The man is a complete moron

  • indeed, eating raw chicken, their is no reason to do that. Just stupid, listening to a guy who obliously doesn't have a degree in nutrition and has no idea what he's saying

  • @SolitaryDrifter1 Another misinformed idiot who shouldn't see the light of day.

  • @SolitaryDrifter1 You gotta give it up to Kev for putting his ego aside.

  • Did you see how elated he was when Leverone said that putrid cottage cheese concoction was tasty? FM was like a little child getting his first bike. The reason for this is because he had never even tried it before himself and was shocked KL wasnt spraying carrot soup over his wall.

  • Im an open minded type of type of guy and always ready to except the humorous side of things, but this Fingerman is clearly a cheeseburger short of a happy meal. He obviously doesnt understand the basic principles of nutrition and simply spouts fragmented dietary philosophies from some of the renowned experts in the world of strength training and nutrition. Hes nothing more than a confused parrot. ..............

  • Say what you like but that skinny dude just lifted the 400lbs kevin did, and he is ripped to hell! Impressive.

  • in squat r u supposed to contract ur legs as u lock them?

  • it would be better if you use a close grip ..rather than putting your hands by the plates.

Close grip next to your shoulders help squeeze your scapula together, and keep your body upright.

  • light weight !!

  • Squats are one of the worst excercises to work with static holds. They should use leg extensions and leg curls to failure. Use fixed angle excersises on machines. Max Contraction Training does work! Raw Food Diet on the other hand thats just stupid.

  • why is raw food diet stupid? never tried it so have no idéa for myself. so plz tell me

  • Raw meat such as chicken will give you Salmonella even raw eggs can now. Raw veggies are great. Raw meat is bad. Avoid under cooked meat unless you like being sick.

  • The Fingerman looks like a real expert.........yeah right

  • There have been many notable bodybuilders that have used static contractions in routines, Mike Mentzer was an advocate. John Little has produced a few books on the subject also.

With this system there is much less work so there is a greater need to fail completely on termination of the set. This is difficult even with a spotter.

  • if static contration worked, then why don't bodybuilders and powerlifter and strongmen use it????????

oh I forgot, they don't want to hurt the knees or joints!!

    B.S.

  • this guy is hardcore. i once knew a similar guy, he also had a dungen, the only problem is he smoked joints and i hate drugs that change the way you think. love this guys atitude, got to be a clasic, epic parody out of this. THE FINGER MAN brought to you by KEVIN LEVRONE!!!

  • The problem with this training is you're only going to see gains at the point in the ROM at which you're exerting force =\ Muscle strength is limited at the angle where force exertion is lowest

  • your stupid seriously. muscle contraction has nothing to do with angles its brainwaves and neuron signal strength. read the naked warrior if you disagree with me. static contraction maxes your nervous system to the brink and as long as you can LEARN to use that extra power in the full ROM you are set. use static contraction to increase your strength. then practice that unleashed potential with disadvantageous leveraging

  • Not sure you know your stuff that well enough to be calling me stupid, and I know well enough that I'm far from an expert. If you've ever seen any angle-force curves you'll see that it is not constant generation of force at all, showing us that angle is a factor in muscle strength. You can't tell me that angles have nothing to do with muscle contractions when you yourself mention disadvantageous leverage. I'm not going to post anymore comments. Either way none of us are going to budge lol

  • Theory's been in practice for years now . Most common result: After making huge gains @ strong-position statics, trainees go back to try full-range & are -much- weaker! What you refer to as "practicing that unleashed power" is called full-range training: Required for full-range strength. For those who want to look better & dont care about full-range strength, this isn't an issue, unfortunately statics haven't created any great physiques, either.

  • the body wasn't made to do static contrations, it is made to move! and if you are trying to develop all of your muscles in your legs lets say. then different positions will put more stress on certain muscles, hence why full range of motion is important for full development

  • "400 pounds for once person can be total diffrent for someone else" Yeah not for like 80% of people at the gym, as far as i can remember 400lbs is heavy..

  • btw this guy is using what is basically dynamic tension, been around for along time (Bruce Lee used it for starters)

  • no .. dont `go into his world` Kevin!!

    run, run real fast

  • if this guy know so much than why does he look like he didnt eat since 5 years?

  • You can almost see the tattooed prisoner camp number on his hand.

  • Actually pretty cool man. I'd be up for adding a set of two of this here and there to try something different. Pretty cool.

  • lol 1 squat n he is dead

  • Good to see Kevin Levrone make a come back. He is one of the uncrowned Mr.Olympian's.

Just a quick question did kevin make it out of this guys basement alive? that guy is wierd.

static contractions sounds like another terminology for constipation. lol

  • What he trains for this finger dude ? He looks like shit ! Skinny and ugly !

  • ROFL!!!! HE ACCIDENTLY THE WHOLE ROM

  • Oh holy god. This is so funny! Keep posting those hilarious videos! Plz let me see more of this comedian.

  • woow this man is the next coleman! unbelivable talent, bigger than ruhl or nasser! everybody want to look like this, and Kevin find this superman.teach me MASTER,teach!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is so much BS

  • amen lol

  • isometrics takes less energy but takes longer time to progress. In isometrics Stamina is a key basic to gett stronger.

  • This cannot be real.

    No way.

  • Some same static training makes your body produce GH

  • This guy says you cant get put out your back and your knees.. Bullshit.. First you still have to lift the weight off the bar you can put your back out just doing that. Second.. there is still hundreds of pounds of weight pressure being asserted on your lower back and your spinal disks and the cartilige in your knees .. there is still wear and tear... just because your not doing full range of motion..

  • Exploitation of a concentration camp victim. Not cool.

Just joking fags. Take a joke.

    Kevin, you're cool.

  • This reminds me of the exercise when you have to stay in the pushup position for a long time instead of actually doing pushups and it creates intense pain in the core.

  • i used to do this for shrugs when i lifted in my garage because of my limited amount of weights, it worked for my traps

  • Wow finally people as nuts as I am. I love this journey we call life. Kevin Levrone you have gained more of my respect than ever before.

  • Static contraction. I have not heard of that since I read possibly every bruce lee book. I have not finished the video but damn I knew it worked.

  • I admire your attitude, Kevin.

  • Hasn't anyone realised with that guy doing 405lb at his size is actually very strong? Tendon strength is incredibly important. Anyone who has torn anything will tell you with regret!

  • not that impressive...

  • This guy is a crackpot im sorry Kevin, you need to help him train like you do put some weight on that boy.

  • Just cuz the guy is skinny doesnt mean it doesnt work.... it could mean he doesnt eat right or eat enough! every guy that works out knows u gotta eat ur ass off to get big! This guy prob doesnt eat and supplement at all

  • The thin guy is just another "expert" to me. I think you should stick to training that works like full ROM reps.

  • why is this dude so thin if it works???

  • he wants to be that thin. he eats raw food which is nutrient rich and requires less calories. studies show being underweight increases health and longevity. while being thin like that is NOT MY goal, it's logical for him given HIS goal. increasing tendon strength is a goal I happen to share with the Finger Man, which is why I paid him a visit.

  • Tendon strength is very important. If his training can help you increase that then do it.

Your training is inspiring. Watching what you do has given me some great things to add to my workout. I will watch what happens when you add this training into yours to see if it has any benifits.

    Keep on lifting!

  • yea true, im sure after one pec tendon tear, he doensnt want it to happen anywhere else

  • What supplements are you taking now?

  • ok i understand now, thanks for telling me!! im so happy to be talking to you kevin!! your my idol, you should have won the mr olympia in 1998,2000,& 2002 in my opinion!! in my opinion you looked the best in 1998!! your shoulders were just crazy big! these vids are making me train like an animal in the gym, your motivating me to go beyond my limits! thank you kevin.

  • @bm2g He's actually pretty ripped. Muscle doesn't have to be huge and bulky. Depends on your goal. And you can get huge with raw foods, you just have to up the calories. I feel like I'm educating elementary school children every time I say that...

  • Also people, I don't think Kevin is going to automatically drop his old ways of training and become a practitioner of static weight lifting. Remember,he is trying to shock his quads over the next couple of weeks, and he has had back problems in the past so this might be a good way to get under the weight and not tear his back up. Also, a muscle contraction is a contraction regardless. Granted, not all of the fibers will fire due to lack range of motion but you would be surprised how many will.

  • KEvin you are with the wrong dude, he looks like 157 pounds damn

  • So the moral of the story is 'static contraptions dont work'...at least they didnt for that stick hahaha

  • its weird coz i feel like you were trying to take the mickee out of this guy ... RIGHT? lol then you made him do a set hahahah...

anyway awesome vid gunna be following you thru out your journey...

    keep it up 5/5

  • Kevin, I think you should try some strongman training . it puts on alot of dense solid muscle mass.

  • lmfao, why are you wasting your time with this bullshit Kev.

  • to learn new things?

  • lmfao 2x

  • Mr Jerk a Turkey, the actual training is excellent for strenghtening tendons etc and getting used to heavy weight. It's an old school trick, and powerlifters use variations of it for lockout training. So you just made yourself look like an ass, but hey, better luck next time. (Mr fingers got it the other way round tho, so he is full of shit yes)

  • hey mr clueless, open mouth insert foot. you're wrong on many facets but i'm not going to go into it here. better luck next time ;)

  • *sigh* You insist on making a fool out of yourself. It's simple biomechanics, dude. Since in a lockout or near-lockout you are most leverage efficient, the weight will primarely be supported by joints, bones and tendons. There will be obviously be muscle activated, but isometric training is range specific, so you won't really see that effect translate to full range. The added supporting strength you will, and the disinhibition of the golgi organ as well.

  • That baldy guy is fuckin bulked! THERES your fuckin olympia.

  • The screenshot does a great job of misleading us into thinking that he's deep in the hole busting out reps of 315

  • This is a ton of bullshit. Trying to make bodybuilding any more complicated than lifting heavy weights in various exercises and eating enough calories and protein to grow...

    And of course, steroids.

  • its rehab training.....not for muscle growth..

  • This is why Levrone is a true champ, he takes something like this, that seems completely rediculous to most of us, and learns from it.

Kevin u never cease to amaze me, keep it up man.

  • Kevin you are the man!

  • what does that guy eat all day?

  • Will be answered in Pt. 3 it's pretty intense.

  • Actually, I want to see what this guy eats like, because that is going to determine whether or not he puts on muscle weight or not. Yes, he is very thin, but he is also very defined for his weight. He isn't flabby. My question is, what if he were taking in enough calories to gain muscle weight, as in a bulking diet, what would happen then? I think he might put on mass. I know Kevin will put on mass because of superior genetics, but all of us are different.

  • I'll wait and see. Only IF it is more intense than my drop set videos... BUT I have got to see to believe. :)~ lol

  • This is ridiculous. Is this man trying to promote strenght training or what? Anyway, he clearly doesn't have muscle, jos this thing isn't for me. BTW: That kind of range of motion doesn't develop strenght in full motion, so this guy probably can't squat shit for example.

  • This seems like kevin's exploring more ways of pumping iron or workouts not everyone has the same goals in fitness so i can respect that full blown baby!!

  • I've used similar isometric training. Most popular is John Little's Max Contraction Techniques.

They however had little benefit for me insofar as muscle growth was concerned.

  • This video is pretty cool, I would like to meet The Finger Man.

  • Time under tension and a mind lock is a helluva grand way to get strong. Most poeple wont try this cause the finger dood is 11 lbs wet , pun intended. Thanks kevin for showing some other stuff. Im with ya bro, Btw im 201 and do similar locks and can easy 500 + for 15 secs.. :) Think strng. Peace.

  • Some you people need to lighten up and just move on if this bothers you that much.

  • Haha. Pound for pound that dudes stronger than any of us. Hell probably out live us all.

Its meant to be entertaining. It's obviously no way to add mass.

He doesn't care about cosmetics and money. He does it purely for health and the love of it. I find that aspect interesting.

My success in bodybuilding and life has roots in curiosity and open-mindedness about all disciplines of training. I almost always take away something of value.

  • hes not small at all, hes natural

  • "Pound for pound that dudes stronger than any of us"

    I'll have to respectfully disagree.

To out live me. I'm sure of that. :)

    Keep hittin it hard Kev.

  • NICE!! have your try to do static set with a little liter but in the week position on squats ex: (60 to 90degres) ???

  • this is such serious trash

  • Crazy Ish!!

  • Haha I like this.. Wha tkind of training that skinny guy do?

  • can you post more on static contractions

  • Kevin this is beyond innovative and I would love to see this style of training become much more popular.

  • jason. This has been around for decade`s! ( as has partial rep`s), to get familiar with weight you can`t 1x with= old news!.
