I know I'm only dreaming, but it'll be cool to see this car race side by side against a prototype vehicle in the LeMans - the new Audi R15 TDI, for example. :D
No, but the GTR was never going to be an Infinity in the US. The only reason the R35 was released as the G35 in the states was because the car was new to the market. That's why Nissan dropped the Skyline name when the GTR was released stateside.
this is not a lexus.. there is no such thing call lexus in Japan. remember they did the same thing for the GTR.. (Infinity GTR) then when it came out it was Nissan GTR. could be the next Supra!!!!!
sucks they just want call it a supra but i understand why. Nobody is going to spend 100k plus at a Toyota dealership. Imaging that thing parked next to a yaris, bad business. Call it a Lexus so it will sell. Remember they wanted to call the GTR a Infinity. We all know its a Supra
I said this same exact thing months ago on another vid......there calling it a lexus so they can jack up the price. Supra or not, no one is gonna spend that much money on a toyota.... All though I most certainly would...long live SUPRA!!!!
But I could be wrong, look at the GTR. People are spending well over 100k for it...If the supra were to re-realease, Im pretty sure the hype alone would cause for high prices and sells.....
i dont kno but i know how u feel, toyota hasnt had any good sports cars since the last supra in 98, i was worried that toyota would never resurect the supra, but it looks like thats wat there workin on, i cant wait the car looks totally badass and sounds like an f1 almost wit that v10, and it has the look of the supra, cant wait to see this bitch comeout,
I would love to buy an LF-A in 2009. It needs to be 1) under 3400 pounds. 2) at least 550 hp. 3) a V-10. 4) spin 9,000 rpm.
I know you are campaigning a V8 at Nurburgring and Formula 1 changed its rules to V8's, but anything less than a 9000 rpm V10 is not an exotic and therefore, just a Toyota.
So I guess any production Ferrari/Lambo/Aston Martin/and basically every other V8 or V10 or V12 exotic is out of the question for you as well? Practically none of which make power to 9000, and you can't afford one either, so there's no need to try to impress random people on the internet.
During the 4-hour race, the LFA covered 23 15.13-mile laps, grabbing 77th place. Its fastest lap was 9:06. While that lap time may sound slow compared to the Nissan GT-R's best Ring time of 7:29, the GT-R was clocked on just the 12.9-mile Nordschleife without the additional sprint section,BUT...
Just to reiterate so there's no confusion:
this isn't the same course that the GT-R and ZR1 are lapping. That course is exclusively run on the Nordschliefe, racing with traffic.
Lexus LF-A won its first race in Adenauer ADAC Rundstrecken-Trophy at Nurburgring
The Lexus LF-A won the SP8 class of the Adenauer ADAC Rundstrecken-Trophy race at Nurburgring. The Lexus LF-A finished 2 laps ahead of the Chevrolet Corvette which was entered by Kissling Motorsport and 8 laps ahead of the Aston Martin Vantage that finished third.
NICE! Can't wait until it's actually in production... I wonder is this gonna replaced the SC430?? If so, people are gonna pay a lot more for a lot more of a car?
why is there a red circle thing sticking out?

Lexus has existed in Japan since 2002...
It hasn't existed as long in Japan as it has in the US but there is nonetheless a Lexus moniker in Japan.

"no way in hell we'll i ever afford a 100000+ dollars car in my life" that is some negative thinking there, THINK POSITIVE.

is it planned to produce it ? YES !!!
ddRoy 3 years ago
does 3400 pounds translate to $3,400 dollars? or 34,000 dollars? either way thats extremely cheap for a v10.
mellamoenrique 3 years ago
yea the price of the car is going to be $3,400, actually more like around $200,000.
InsertTrendyNameHere 3 years ago
make it a zero more :P the LF-A is rated at the price of the Mclaren SLR (700,000 EURO, so 1mil Dollar)
roffel89 3 years ago
no its not lexus said there bringing it out for 100000 dollars
dukviper90 3 years ago
Actually what Idmcnutt says there, The 3400 pounds is the weight of the car, not British Pounds. 3400 pounds = about 1550 kg.
