Está película es excelente. A mí me gusta todo menos el final. Es decir, es muy lindo que Laura se haya reunido con Simón y con sus amigos, pero y Carlos? El pobre no solo perdió a su mujer y a su hijo sino que realmente nunca llegó a entender lo que estaba pasando.
Cuando llegan y dicen "se ha hecho vieja como Wendy en el cuento" llloré tanto... es la escena mas tierna jamas hecha en la historia del cine. Si me dicen ternura automaticamente pienso en esto.
This film deserved a much wider audience, wrongly marketed internationally in a horror visual vernacular. It is exquisitely moving, haunting, elegiac, beautifully crafted and will hopefully, in a true and just world, be held up as the masterpiece of cinema that it is.
I love this movie, and it has probably one of the most tear jerking plots ever, if I'm correct, anyways the soundtrack is beautiful and thank you for uploading this!

the kids didn kill tomas on purpose. kids being kids they were playing with him n lured him into a cave n took off his mask to c hw he wud react. he didn want to come out of the cave n drowned when the tide went in.
i didnt understand thia movie i see it a long time ago but i couldnt wrap my finger on how he died. the kid with the imaginery friend which was ral ad i later on found out. but how does it all tie together i didnt understand.
The ghost/ imaginary friends of Simon used him to play a game with the main character which in that game she unrevealed a secret in the house. The kids were messing around with the kid that wore a mask becuase of his face. Wich winds up killing the kid so the kid's mom poisons the orphans. So now as ghost simon gets tooken away and his mom dies at the and winds up live with Simon and the orphans in the house as ghost.
If u wanna know what happened to Thomas. What happened is that the kids that were @ the orphanage made fun of him bc of how he looked, and I think the kids killed him (can't remember how) and thomas's mom got upset (and she was the nurse at the orphange) and she poisoned the kids. and later on the woman gets hit by a bus. but @ the end.....like i said....very korny. but still i recommened u watch it, cuz its still a good movie.
The mom takes Simon upstairs and is still holding him in the nursery. And I guess she became so depressed that she overdosed herself with those pills. And then all the creepy ghost kids including Thomas w/out the mask come all together....was kind of a corny ending. And the mom's husband (@ the very end) and some people were wondering if he saw her or not, the only thing was that the doors opened, and he sensed that she was there with him. NEXT AND LAST COMMENT....thank god
What happened was that when Simon went to the hiding place, his mom(on accident) locked him in by putting those heavy poles on the hidden door. And that night when she heard those bumps and that crash, it was actually Simon trying to get out, and I'm guessing that Simon fell backwards on the stairs and that's how he died. So the mom takes the mask off and sees her sons corpse. NEXT COMMENT is how the mom dies.
She holds him tight and was telling him not to be scared, bc there was noises going around from the ghosts. Then the place dark, and when she looks down she finds out that she was actually holding a blanket (she had a hallucination) she looks around the dark room and sees a dead body covered with Thomas's again creepy ass mask. She also looked up and saw a part of the stair that was broken. Then she knew what happened.....next comment.
okay so after a few months of looking for him, she became depressed and started taking pills. Later on a bunch of haunting started happening that lead her back to the closet, and on the floor there was doorknob that belonged to the hidden door. She found the hole where the doorknob belongs and had to rip off some wallpaper that was covering the hidden door. so when she opens she find some really crappy stairs and goes down. And she finds Simon and hugs him....but wait there's more. NEXT COMMENT!
okay well he pushed her into the bathtub and locked the door. can't remember how the mom got out, but well she did get out. She went around the house looking for Simon, and when she looked in a closet, these VERY HEAVY poles fell down, she picked them up and put them on a wall (which happens to be a hidden door that she didn't see at first). Also during on night she kept hearing this pounding over and over and didn't know where it was coming from, and then a CRASH! see next comment....

YUes, Simon have died. In the movie, we can hear a noise like something falling down the stairs - it is Simon. His mother died too, and yes, her husband saw her.
Simon died because he hid in a room leading to the basement during the party and the door jammed shut (I think a tool blocked it) and he was knocked backwards down some stairs and the fall killed him. Then the mother went mad looking for him and at the end she comes down, picks up his corpse, and carries him upstrairs where she swallows all her medication in despair when she realizes that he died because of a simple mistake. In the end, we assume that the husband saw their ghosts one final time.
I cried so hard when she realized what happened to Simon. I loved this movie I totally did not expect it to be so heart breaking. Great soundtrack too
