Innovative Black filmmakers like Kasi Lemmons have to practically sell a kidney just to get a movie greenlit, but Tyler Perry keeps doing the same bullshit and people run to see it like an all-you-can-eat buffet. He's able to get decent actors like Taraji P. Henson and Angela Bassett for his projects due to the lack of starring roles for people of color, which is exactly how they get duped.
