I was working at a pawnshop in Wichita, and this guy walks in. Says he is the guitar player for Steppenwolf, I.m thinking "yeah, okay". He steps over to the cd bin and plucks out a cd with his picture on it. I coulda crapped. This is one hell of a dude. He told me to never quit trying, and invited me to see him play. He is beyond awesome live. He walked me over to buy his cd at the show and signed it while he made jokes. Danny, dude, it IS a GRIH-GRIH thing! I never stopped trying. Thank you.

I saw Danny last weekend. He let my teenage son sit in with him. He is a great human being, as well as a seriously gifted player. The phrasing in his playing and vocals are as good as anyone's. His latest stuff will blow you away.
