Egyptian movie producer Dodi Fayed (Chariots of Fire) came to meet me as did Michael Jackson (who I wrote songs for) brought his friend Steven Spielberg. This also includes Titanic as well. Rowlings was in financial trouble, they helped her with my ideas.

Tolkien has a amassed a universe of his own and Rowling has amassed a world of her own. Similarities do exist, as such in other series. It will always happen. Characters take on a life of their own inside a writers head, I'm sure there is loads more she could tell us about all of the characters if she wanted to.

@Brady2k10 I am not denying anything. No one owns the folklore. You are free to do whatever you want with it except destroy it and Tolkien and Rowling aren't doing any of that. Tolkien has a amassed a universe of his own and Rowling has amassed a world of her own. Similarities do exist, as such in other series. It will always happen. You can if you want and continue with this but I am not, though I am sure you'll meet a few who will agree with you but you'll cross many that would disagree.

@paulinotou She didn't change it after she wrote it. She said "I have always thought of Dumbledore as gay." She didn't put it in the book explicitly because she didn't feel it was necessary to do so. Characters take on a life of their own inside a writers head, I'm sure there is loads more she could tell us about all of the characters if she wanted to.

@paulinotou Actually she said that to the writers of the movies while they were writing the screen play for Half Blood Prince. They had originally included a line about Dumbledore loving some woman and she told them it wasn't possible. And it does contribute to the plot, a lot. You obviously missed the bit with Dumbledore and Grindelwald; Dumbledore loved him and that's why he didn't see the bad in him.

The word "homosexual" is more appropriate and accurate than the word "gay".
A person does not need religion, hatred or any kind of phobia in order to acknowledge important, qualitative differences between heterosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption and homosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption.
Homosexual activists, with (complete) support from the media, have succeeded at framing themselves as noble victims and martyrs; it's an effective way to push a social agenda.
