Ran my cx on some straight thru pipes,no balance box and i think it actually ran better.Faster acceleration ,Only thing was i had pedestrians covering there ears when i was 50 yards away and some did turn away as i passed!loved it.Got a boreing motad on now!
did you have to do any rejetting of the carbs? I recently picked up an 80 cx500c and it only had headers so I mocked up some straight pipes and am currently doing some paint work on the bike but didn't know if i'd have to rejet with no h box
