i bought one today and its truly amazing.its a soft pad but feels like a hard one.previusly i used goliathus,destructor,qck...and now im stay with this one for sure.bay the way roccat kova+ is a fraud couse it works only on 1600dpi,3200 is interpolated.i was so disapointed and give it back.
Thanx for the review. How would you compare this mousepad to the razer ones - e.g megasoma, scarab and the black one which is no longer in production?
I've been playing on Roccat Sota mousepad for few months. Now after few months the mousepad started to curl on one side and it lost contact to my table surface towards middle. No way to straighten it again. The mousepad is ok but the lifespan could be longer. Time for another mousepad...
@SingularityComputers Thanks for the review man, really happy with my purchase after i watched your vid. Planning on getting a cloth mat next so i have the choice of both cloth and hard surface. The razer control goliathus took my eye in your review, where did you order it from to get the anti-fray stitching, thanks in advance ^^
@SingularityComputers now i know why it doesn't work with mamba. sota reflects light and is very shiny mousepad and mambas sensor doesn't work with shiny and reflective mousepads. but maybe you knew this already :)
@Zengster007 I found that the Mamba just doesn't track properly at all. Pointer is always jumping and not moving where you want it to. It doesn't matter what you are doing, this continues to happen.
@SingularityComputers Doesn't matter I'm thinking of getting a Razer Scarab now which works well with pte sensors like the rat 9 and mamba. Any signs of wear on the scarab?
@bloodass3 Make sure you check out the Roccat Alumic first. Its not much more expensive than the Sota and you get two surfaces and a wrist rest. It looks like a very nice mouse mat. I wll be getting one to review.
@SingularityComputers Ok, gonna subscribe and wait for review :) ..And yes, I saw Alumic but what I checked the price like 15€bigger so if it is worth the diff. Anyway, I will check your review and decide :) ..Btw keep reviews coming up, gonna check all of them :P

@mostafa741 Personally I prefer the Iron Clad, because I like hard mouse mats. I change around a fair bit. At the moment my favorite mouse is the Mamba and favorite mouse pad is the Iron Clad.
mine has a bulge in the middle and now im buying a new one -_-

wich is your main mouse, do you use the roccat kone mouse as well. Wich do you prefer for gaming kone vs. mamba?
abvmoose87 4 months ago
@abvmoose87 Personally I prefer the Mamba 2012.
SingularityComputers 4 months ago
if you USE a mouse on the Sota, it will be BULKED (or domed) AS HELL !!! because of the heat of your arm. And no way backward!!
btw the surface is very good. but the rubber part will deform the surface very soon. !!!!!!

By the way I saw your comment about the mamba not working well on what criteria do you assess on? Is it noticeable in real world use?

@bloodass3 But to answer your question. Yes I think it is worth it for sure. The Kone+ works flawlessly on it, mainly after you do the surface scan.

Does your Razer Mamba work well on this mat?
trollfaceDOTpng 11 months ago
@trollfaceDOTpng No it doesn't. The only mouse I have tried that works perfectly on this mat is the Roccat Kone+
