  • When my nails actually are pretty long (as long as I can have, maybe the white is about two-three mm) I never cut them, I just file. I tend to cut too much, xD

  • Please reply! can i use hand and cuticle cream for the cuticles instead of cuticle oil? will it help?

  • warning: file in one direction only, not back and fourth, as this can weaken the nails and make them split.

  • Lucky you have piano fingers

  • Check out my nail care vid

  • whats the cuticle oil for

  • @blackhappiness2 Don't cut your cuticles off at all. That leads to infections and is very bad for your nails.

  • Fun Fact! cuticles are caused by a lack of calcium

  • Contrary to popular belief in previous comments and in general, I wear fake nails and acrylic nails a lot, and my nails are perfectly healthy and strong. Yes, after you wear them you need to give your nails a break for at least a month (for me at least) but they do not harm your nails permanantly. Just wanted to post that for anybody wondering :)

  • I do almost the same thing!!!!! I added cleaning out the inside of my nails and there's this thing at Bath & Body Works called the 60-second Manicure. It has sugar that gently exfoliates your hands!!! I think you would love it.

  • your short nails are my long nails :( but you have beautiful nails!!!

  • What does Cutical oil do ? Please reply.

  • @divnaHOPE softens the cutical so its easier to push back.

  • Would you buff your nails before apply cuticle oil, or after? Please reply.

  • You shouldn't "saw" the file back and fourth, it makes the nails chip and break

  • Hey. I just took off my acrylic nails and my real nails r messed up. How cn I help them?

  • @bonitagirlyy Well first of all treat your nails, give the vitamin and things like that. Wearing any type of fake nails is extremely bad for your nails. It ruins them a lot.

  • How long did it take you to grow out your nails? I'm trying to grow mine out and it seems like it's taking FOREVER! Any tips?

  • @SincerleyCooper if bite 'em den stop it!

  • the is REALLY good quality :)

  • do you use a buffer?

  • @artlover129 You can ;) It's also a very good thing to do to your nails

  • i guess cuticle oil does really make a difference. i usually soak then clip off my cuticles & they still look bad. i really have to put some effort in my nails since they get a lot of wear and tear from work and from playing guitar.

  • @xxmissmwahxx What is the correct way to file your nails then???

  • i just started using this weekly routine, and im taking pics of my nails every week, for 3 months straight to see my progress!! instead of that type of oil i use Secret cuticle oil, and sally hansen miracle growth!

  • did you soak your hands before trimming them, or was this right after a shower, or does it not matter? :)

  • What beautiful fingers and nails you have. Thanks for sharing them with us.

  • i have OPI nail envy and it doesn't help my nail at all.

  • you should definitely get a glass nail file :) you have gorgeous nails but i love mine and it is soooo nice :)

  • If you cut your nails there is no point in using nail envy then really because OPI made that encourage growth.

  • Where did you buy your cuticle oil? And roughly how much did it cost?

  • What kind of nail clipper do you use? I've been looking everywhere for one like that, but all I can find are the straight ones.

  • How do you get your nails to be so nice and square shaped?

  • where do you get all your O.P.I products from?

  • Where do you buy your OPI nail envy? I can't find it anywhere!

  • @SunnySideUp121 I buy mine at one of my local hair salons : )

  • @SunnySideUp121 u can find em @ target

  • @SunnySideUp121 try ebay/amazon :)

  • I think I'll have a go with the cuticle softener :)

  • um hi when i have nail polish on i pick at it all the time it is soooooo tempting i try not to but i catch my self doing it then it would chip and look nasty and like i dont care plz reply thanks:))

  • Have you ever bitten your nails before...If you have please reply back saying how you stopped biting yours...i am 12 and i have a nasty habit biting my nails....

  • I had a bad habbit too and i just made myself stop!

but at my walgreens theres a product called bit it with like a red circle with a line going there it and its discustingg it will make you stopp lol it makes your mouth taste gross eww just nastyy but it'll helpp

  • @xxmissmwahxx Yea....but I've just always done it back and forth, lol!!! And my nails seem to be fine : )

  • @luxuriousnails But they're not fine, you said they get to a certain length and then "break or chip." There is a reason for that. It could have something to do with incorrectly filing your nails. It does cause damage to saw at your nails like that. Nails should be filed in one direction only: corner to center. You'll be able to have those pretty nails any length you want. : )

  • Wow! Your nails are Gorgeous! I just wish my nails were as beautiful as yours!

  • why trim...u dont like them long? please reply

  • @BFFFL16 I trim my nails exactly for that reason...I don't really like my nails long. I feel like when mine get long, all i do is break them or chip them. Then that causes me to cut them all, lol!!! I usually keep them kind of short : )

  • @BFFFL16 if you don't trim your nails, they could break all the way down until you dont have a tip (the white part of your nail) and it really hurts! its happend to me so thats why I trim my nails once a week

  • I was thinking about trying this out, and I've been to Sallys to look for the cuticle oil, and I came across Cuticle Softener. I don't know if its 'liquidy' or like lotion, but have you tried it out? How did it come out? ... And could this be in place of the cuticle oil and lotion steps. ?

    Thanks.

  • @SpunSugarx3 Cuticle Softener is basically the same thing as cuticle oil. Both help soften your cuticles and make them healthy. A cuticle softener could be used as a lotion also for your nails and cuticles. Its really your choice. But basically they do the same thing : ) Hope this helps!

  • @luxuriousnails If I may speak up. Cuticle softener is a term used synonymously with "cuticle solvent," which is used to remove cuticles not condition. I can't think of a product on the market called cuticle softener sold with the intent of softening cuticles. Thats what cuticle oil is for.

  • AND... anyone using a product they believe to be a cuticle softener, I urge you to find out if thats what it is. Cuticle softener, AKA cuticle solvent/remover, is a chemical—and using it as a conditioner will cause your nail plate to separate from your nail bed.

  • Your nails are always good looking! I really wish I had your nails!

  • i know it's bad to cut but what do you do when they get too long ? that's what i'm confused about :(

  • @empressiivee Mine never really get long, lol! If they do, I usually just scrape a little off or push them back a little : )

  • do you cut your cuticles ? i know its bad to but like when i push them back constantly, they eventually get really long after a few weeks so i can't help but cut them ! :( oh and does anyone get the hard cuticles too that you like have to scrape off your nails ? i cant push that back .. so i cut that too ? :/

  • @empressiivee I actually don't cut my cuticles. I sometimes will scrape at them, but I never cut them. Cutting them can lead to bacteria build-up. I usually just use cuticle oil to soften them and keep them healthy : )

  • were did u get the cuticle oil????olease reply :)

  • @10lilkitty I bought mine at Sephora : )

  • @luxuriousnails why do u trim ur nails?

  • good ! u should try this but you should try filing one way =]

  • @krazy987654 Ahh...as I say...this is my way and it may not be the correct way but thats ok : ) I started out filing on way, but found out it really makes your nails more even if you file however you want, lol!!! : )

  • Hiya nail fanatics! I have bought some really crappy top coats in the past that smear my designs even if they've dried for a full day! Now I want to buy the best top coat in the history of ever! Cost doesn't matter at this point. I just don't want smeary nails. :3( Can someone reply to this comment with an answer, please?

  • seche vite fast dry top coat

found at sally's or ulta its about seven to eleven bux depending where you go

  • @KelseyBeePink I agree with bleenono1. Seche Vite is the best topcoat EVER!!! It dries so fast and my nails hardly never chip : )

  • that's great! :) i want the nail envy base coat now!

  • Great video!!! I have a ver similar nail care routine. 5*s for cute nails!

  • Hey everyone! I have a nail problem and need some help! My nails are turning yellow because I paint my nails so often, I thought I was using a good basecoat but apparently not! ANy tips to stop the yellowing or prevent it?!!!! Please help me!!

  • @x0xjane0x0 well you need to get a extremely good basecoat and maybe paint white over the basecoat before you paint your nails with the color you want

  • i use nail envy by OPI right now. do you have any suggestions?

  • i have no suggestions because i use nail envy and it works for me but you should just experiment with different brands sorry if this was no help

  • okay thats fine. maybe my nails are just like that from before i was smart enough to use a basecoat :) lol. well maybe i will even try putting white on after the nail envy.

  • @x0xjane0x0 Maybe you should try putting two coats of Nail Envy on. I sometimes do but not al the time. But when I do I can for sure tell a difference in my nails : )

  • if ur smoking stop it, it causes nails turn yellow aswell

  • @x0xjane0x0 Hmm...I heard you can put one of the denture cleaners in water then soak your nails in it. It is supposed to get rid of all the yellow. I have not tried it, but I think JulieG713 did a video on it. Hope this helps : )

  • lol, i do not smoke! denture cleaner? i think i might try that! thanks :)

  • @x0xjane0x0 the only tip i have is try to find a better basecoat! thats the only reason i know they would start turning yellow. :)

  • @x0xjane0x0 youu can uuse the whitening paste for naails :DD mix it withh some lime and theen use a tooth brush and scrub your nails once every week :D try noot to usse tooo muuch nail polish in the futuure :3

  • @x0xjane0x0 here's a great video on a product you can use! just search "bubble white" and it's the second one from the top:)

  • nail envy cannot be BEAT! never had a broken or chipped nail because of this product. been using it for a year now. thank you OPI!

  • I Started doing the same thing but instead of the cuticle oil i did olive oil and it works really great! Thanks for the video! <3

  • Hey girl , Great video I do mine the same for the most part. I just don't trim them as often because I'm trying to let them grow a bit. Nail Envy is the best! My nails were thin and brittle before this stuff. I have wanted to try the Sally Hansen Hydrating base coat. If you ever try it out let me know how it does. :)

    Thanks for Sharing!

  • @Alio0p1 Sure! If I buy it I will for sure let you know how good it is : )

  • I am not able to cut my nails like that I always screw up with something lol

  • mine is quite similar too :D

  • Great rutine, mine is quite similar :D What do you though use to remove your nailpolish?

  • great video..votde5:)

  • hahaha same here :D

  • I wish I could trim my nails all they ever do is break I have dona and tried everything under the sun :( your very lucky to have such nice nails :)

  • use OPI nail envy and in to time your nails will be great. well like a couple weeks! or use OPI chip skip or something like that ! they all work to fill in cracks in the nail and prevent breakage :)

  • great video! my routine is very similar!

  • dont you have to get rid of your cutical

  • @chantellewho Getting rid of your cuticle is actually not very good for your nails. It can cause infection and bacteria build-up. Pushing back your cuticles is a good idea, but mine usually stay in the same place, lol! I use the cuticle oil to soften them so they won't tear or anything like that : )

  • oh my gosh!

    thanks

  • heey,,

i really liked your video, but i really want to know what do you film your videos with?

    byee :D

  • @friiends4e Thank you : ) I film my videos with my Canon Powershot SD630 camera : )

  • hey i have a question what does the cutical oil do? and how does it help?

  • prevents the tearing of skin and keeps it smooth

  • @Ashenix You are exactly right : )

  • nice! i never know what to do about by nails every week. thanks!
