Is it wrong for the lion to consume the gazelle? or maybe the the Wolf to eat the rabbit? As a human with the ability to show compassion, I do wish we showed more. But Just as many would have us no longer consume meat. What about all the pollution our industries cause to many natural habbitats, Endangering millions of animals everyday. Before you think about damning people for eating meat, How about you through that laptop away and realize that we all do harm.
@MrWILLOOZ The Lion and the Wolf are instinctively and physically capable of killing the Gazelle, Deer, or Rabbit. Humans cannot do so without the use of a man-made tool, animals use what was given to them.
Man thinks of himself as superior to animals
But when he must justify his wrongdoings, he essentially labels himself an animal.
That's what you just did.
You may not think of it in that way, but you do think you're superior and likewise, you just stated that you were equal to an animal.
I wonder if people would still accept the bullshiz argument that it's the "cycle of life" and the "food chain" if there were species higher than us who could easily enslave us and eat us just like we do to other animals. It truly astounds me how little insight and empathy so many people still have in the 21st century. Humanity is a moral failure.
I am disgusted and saddened. This is not what God desires for us or them. The meat industry has seen it's last dime from this house, I will not support this cruelty!! Leather is out too!!! I dont own fur, Thankgod!! Many things need to change in this barbaric world!
I hate humans, sometimes I even feel so depressed about it I could die.
Yes animals eat other animals, but they don't lock each other up and and torment each other a life time before being brutally slaughtered
I hate that so many people give money to prevent 3-world people from starving, when there would be more than enough food for everyone, if people stopped eating meat. meat is not even a necessity nowadays anyway. MANY products taste like meat but most people wont even give it a try..
@LittleRubberSquare We also can just eat less meat. That would be a start. There is already enough food for everybody except that Western countries eat much much more than we need, we also waste 1/3 of all food grown or produced, or we produce food that gets used instead for ethanol production. Western countries also buy food from countries in Africa where people are starving, land is used to feed the needs of the west rather than feed the people of the country.
We as humans need to stand up and say no to this kind of thing. It's not about saying no to meat but no to the way it is produced so cruelly to make more and more money. So choosing to lessen/ cut out the meat an animal product on you life is probably the only way the average person can do.
@megasexytimes Would it not be better then for them to die out then animal after animal living like you just saw?
I see nothing morally wrong with raising an animal on a farm and then using it for meat or dairy. But this? The way they are manufactured right now is not a life for them. It's fucking gross and cruel. So yes people need to start adopting a diet with less meat and animal product. Not because it is wrong but because the access to non manufactured meat and dairy is hard to come by.
I'm so ashamed of being human right now. I had several murder urges during the film. I mean, how the fuck can you become so senseless towards life, how can you become so disconnected from the fact that earth and its inhabitants are one ?
I just finished watching this entire documentary and it was not easy. I have also posted some videos on facebook to spread the word. Please seek the truth and do something to change this madness!
Most of those animals we eat live only BECAUSE we are going to eat them. Imagine: If people would stop eating meat than many subspecies of animals will die out because we would no longer need them (for example pigs). Dairy-producing cow and chickens would be far more numerous than now, because of increased demand. You cannot disregard economy.

1. the majority of animals people eat are manufactured for that purpose. So them dying out is an erroneous arguement.
2. People become vegans for many reasons. You don't think becoming a vegan will change the fact that animals go through suffering and slaughter? Theres a serious math / logic disconnect with you. Not to mention the health and environmental benefits.
@TheMindfulOne If you can explain to me how you or anyone being a vegan is going to stop animals being killed for food that'd be great. (: And yes I know they're manufactured for that purpose, it's still a fact that many species would of been extinct if it wasn't for humans producing them for food.
@MegaSexytimes ... So you want me to explain how refusing to kill an animal for food is going to stop animals from being killed.... wow.
and are you telling me that cows pigs chicken and turkeys would be extinct if we didn't eat them? As for more exotic animals, they are becoming extinct and a result of hunting if anything.
1 - There is no "without the food chain". No food chain = no existence. so I don't know where your going with that.
2 - some animals going extinct or overpopulation happens as part of a the natural life cycle. Our hand in controlling it is completely unnecessary.
3 - "only producing food equal to the consumption of the human population" Well.. what we consume is a choice and eating meat is an unnecessary one. So it's no excuse to kill animals.
it is completely necessary to control it...imagine if an animal species would go extinct??would that make you happy?just because it's part of the natural life cycle?
and i don't know why you didn't get the foodchain part so let me explain.without animals being killed, they will overpopulate and overpopulation of one species leads to extinction of some other species....no animal lover would want that to happen...
and eating meat is not a choice it is a human need
@marvelousincredible If you think eating meat is a need then how do vegetarians live? The fact that I have to explain that is insane. You will make up any excuse you can to support your addiction.
LISTEN TO ME NOW!!!!
The reason for mass extinction is BECAUSE of human intervention. Not the other way around!
Expanding human settlements, logging, mining, agriculture and pollution are destroying ecosystems upsetting nature's balance and driving many species to extinction.
@marvelousincredible You have vegan bodybuilders, ufc fighters, and in all conventional sports. You don't need meat!!!!!! Meat is proven to give you heart disease (#1 killer of humanity) cancer, diabetes and many other diseases that don't exist among 99% of vegans.
@marvelousincredible "those body builders... they use steroids" Do you actually have any proof of that or did you pull it out of your ass?
"im living like a human being" What does that mean?
"trying to emulate the life of a cow" Since when did cows watch videos and type responses to them on computers, engage in philosophical debate, and show a unique empathy for other animals?
@TheMindfulOne And I know people become vegans for differen't reasons, and I have no problem with it. If it's for yourself and it's something you believe in then that's fine. But these kind of films don't take into account that the vast majority of animals are treated humanely.
Now if you don't mind, I'm just giving my opinion, and would rather you didn't speak to me like shit.
3. We are Omnivores. And even if our teeth were designed to eat meat doesn't make it a necessity that we eat it. The only necessity it that our body get the right nutients to sustain life and that is well more that possible by eating a plant based diet.
@MegaSexytimes ok, clearly you're a fucking idiot. sorry. but yes, not eating meat, isn't going to change the fact that it's fucking dead, you stupid arrogant fuck.
Im so sick of people saying "well my body is used to eating meat, man has been eating meat for thousands of years and that's just how our bodies work" . Are we all SO FASTENED to history and culture that we cant think for ONE SECOND that maybe, just maybe we need to EVOLVE beyond the dependancy of meat? We need wisdom, we need discernment, we need NOURISHMENT, not meat.
@runter1988 More to your point about eating raw meat, I've eaten raw meat numerous times and I am just fine, how about you trying to eat raw, unprocessed beans and wheat, including soy beans.
@runtor1988 The reason that some raw meat can make you sick is that most of these viruses and bacteria are introduced during handling and processing. Another reason is that 100's of cows are raised in an area big enough for maybe 50 and fed an unnatural diet of corn stalks, to keep them alive they are given high doses of antibiotics, which in turn makes the bacteria evolve to be able to survive the process. Factory farming and modern agriculture is the problem, not meat.
@clairevoyagerfan There are many reasons that animals are important, to polinate plants, to help clean up other dead animals, to control other animals populations and oh yes, as a food source for other animals. Seriously, go watch the lion king already. I know you don't, but I believe that we are still a part of the food chain.
Ok, lumping non-vegans in with racists, sexists and child molesters is utterly rediculous. I do not eat animals because I hate them, I do not think that they are un important.
Vegans try to place us above all other animals, it's not the other way around, they think we are more important, so therefore we have to protect them. This is rediculous, if they cannot evolve to protect themselves then according to the laws of nature they do not belong, we are still a part of nature, not above it.
@nhaislip781 I don't think you can put all vegans in the same box.. People those a meat free lifestyle for different reasons..
What you are saying does not make sense to me at all.. Are you saying that if aliens came and were us superior, it would be okay for them to treat humans this horrible? No, I think that because we ARE superior we ought-a use our intellect to better this world for everyone in it.. Yet again, animals eat other animals but they don't torment eachother a lifetime..
@LittleRubberSquare I apologize, I spoke too generically about vegans. Not all of them are like that. and I do not support treating animals horribly, factory farming and such.
That's good that you're doing that, bud. I've been vegan for about 8 months now. I've even gotten my my Mom to become vegan as well. Just keep trying to educate them. Maybe sit down with them and have them all watch the documentary Food Inc. I know that's what did it for me. Unfortunately I've been ignorant for about 21 years, but it's never too late to start. Well, I take that back, it can be too late. And we, humans, are nearing that point.
The reason you people still eat meat is that you just dont have the mental capacity to understand what you are doing. You are on a completely different level. Unfortunately now i see there is no possible way to get some of you to stop doing it, because you just cant teach a moron.
And now will be the start of several if not many unintelligent and completely braindead rebukes against my comment, because that is the nature of this primitive species.
@Yoshimiga Yeah Yoshimiga, also tell the fuking lions and predators to stop eating meat or to restrain from a attaking a human, if you have the brains I believe there is nothing wrong in eating meat, other animals do it too, becoming a vega because of this reasons is stupid. However I agree that the way the animals are treated and consumed should change to a more ethical and considerate manner, thats without a doubt..
Eating meat is okay... if you're a carnivore or omnivore. Humans are not true omnivores, we are herbivores. Our digestive tracks, stomach acids, teeth formations, and natural defenses are all drastically different than that of a true omnivore.
In case you have doubts about that: You and a buffalo in the middle of a field with nothing but yourself. Go.
What happens? You get your ass killed. And let's just say you somehow manage to strangle it. (continued)
Meat eaters who think we vegans and vegetarians are sick for watching this you should know that you are the ones who are mentally ill for letting this happen!
you are wrong, I hate extremists in any form, there is only one bad habit, and thats called excess, everything is ok as long as is not excessive, even positions and believes as your.s are excessive, therefore flaw ur point and reliability...
Okay now eat it... Oh wait, no oven or stove? Shit, guess you're out of luck. Why? Because you can't digest raw meat without a high risk of getting extremely sick (possibly dying from it). That should be a no brainer right there of how we are NOT meant to eat meat. We are the only being in the world that cooks their meat. If we were meant to eat it, we wouldn't have to alter it in order to consume it.
@runtor1988 our ancient ancestors did not cook their meat. and in many cultures meat is eaten raw, just after being killed. the only reason we cook our meat is because we have been doing so for centuries and therefore, our bodies have adapted to this change. we get sick because we are so used (biologically) to doing so. in conclusion, im going to eat what i want.
The animals are just as cruel to each other. The wolves coyotes and lions eat the deer and rabbits. It is just as horrible. Nature is just as cruel to itself. Plants choke each other out for soil and sunlight. It happens so slowly you don't even notice. I find it funny that the animal activist ignores this fact. That all animals and plants kill each other for survival. The earth has no delicate ecosystem. Only kill before being killed.
The wolves and lions are primitive and live by instinct, they are not as intelligent as us vegetarians and vegans. Plants do have an instinct to survive, but they are not sentient living creatures as animals. They can't suffer, they don't even have nervous systems or a brain to process any pain. But if you really feel sorry for plants then stop eating meat because you are not only wasting the lives of animals but you are wasting more veg'food than a vegan or vegetarian. Peace.
I think people should understand that in our gluttony of north americans what we are eating in animals and 99% of the rest of our food is corn. We are made up of petroleum. Then antibiotics and hormones all GM'd for your plate. The difference between us and animals that hunt are conscience. Some of us have it therefore care about the treatment of sentient beings even if they are intended for food. 'Care about the origins of your food', shop local from sustainable farmers please <3
@isitbutsecks Do You Know You Have A Chance of Getting Cancer From Sunlight , Still Doesn't keep me from going outside
The "Health" Reasons are bullshit its called exercise , and if im feeling sick of meat ill just eat something else i dont need to find a substitute like you vegans do
Im Not Trying to get into a cyber fight but people have been eating meat for a long time , our very existence comes from your ancestors eating meat to survive
You are talking out of your ass, so what if our ancestors were scavengers who ate anything in their path? The important thing today is that we are so intelligent that we don't need to eat meat, we can easily survive without meat and we can do so by being healthier. It's also better for the environment and the animals. But if you want to be a primitive and unintelligent animal, go ahead. Maybe you think rape and murder is right too, since humans have been doing it for a long time.
in a world in which un-assimilated thought represents danger, some Minds of this world seek out concentrations of sentient mental energy and trys to control them and destroy them
we have foolishly disrupted so many of Planet's ecosystems that entire species may vanish without our ever having understood, or even known them. We must halt this plunder, and halt it immediately, for our own survival as a species depends on our ability to strike a balance on this world.
One thing is clear. The countdown of this planet begun long time agao and a little procent of us are starting to wake up. But for how long are we gonna keep to expand? As we grow and expand, Nature have to make room for us and that means; wipe out everything in our way. Forests, animals. How many animals have got exticnt/on the road to extinction because of us?
The question is, Is it possible for the human species to reach around 9 billion people as it says in 2050. I will have to say no!
We humans like to think of ourselves that we are intelligent and civilized, and still we eat blood, flesh, and body parts of other living creatures. How primitive is that!?
its nothin to do with the fact that we all know animals are going to die. If you watched it and seen the abuse and total unnessary pain there put threw by the freaks that work in the slaugterhouse. Its sick and sad bunch of fags only would do it to somethin that can t fight back
A burger taste good with this, hehe. Some animal society group showed this to us during a school festival. What? They thought we'd stop eating meat after that? That ain't happening. It's no news that we must slaughter animals to eat them and its no news either that slaughtering animals is no pretty business. If you want to be fair and be kind to all life, the best thing to do is to die. That way, you won't hurt anything or have to take any life to survive. Otherwise, eat that bacon and broccoli!
@DemonFox91X Getting emotional aren't you? You won't even be born if not for the fact that your ancestors killed countless millions of lives, both animals and human, to thrive and prosper. Whether we like it or not, we are the apex predators of this planet. We extinguish countless billions of lives every single day, around the clock, everywhere. From land animals to sea creatures. Poultry, pork, beef, bugs, reptiles, fruits, vegetables, fungus and microbes. We kill them all to live.
The difference between killing animals and plants is that plants are not living creatures like human animals or nonhuman animals. They can't suffer as we do since they don't have nervous systems or anything to process that pain, like a brain. Also, when you consume meat you waste more plants than a vegan or vegetarian would. So if you really think that it's so bad to kill plants, please reduce the killing by stop eating meat.
I'm a speciesist, and proud of it. I keep dogs as pets, but I do not hesitate to eat chickens, cows and pigs. I would gladly save baby seals from slaughter, but I will not save a cow from slaughter. That's the way nature is, and that's MY nature :)
@TimmyGal Of course, don't pull the doggies tail, but rip out the ballsacks of baby pigs with no pain relief whatsoever, and it's "all natural"!! It's a mindset taught since birth. Biologically, pigs are every bit as intelligent as dogs, as well as three year old human children.
"I feel that spiritual progress requires, at a certain stage, we stop killing our fellow, the animals, to satisfaction of our bodily desires. - Mahatma Gandh
@sallyb4441 i eat meat but that doesn't mean i like to torture animals. Developed countries farm animals in a humane way not in the ways pictured in the video
@reubs1982 why dont you look at the evidence you are deluding yourself. There is nothing humane about the way animals are treated in factory farms and slaughterhouses.
@reubs1982 I think we're all aware of what a huge lie THAT is please go watch Food Inc or even Fast Food Nation. Developed countries often treat animals terribly the only difference being that meat-eaters on said countries appear to posses an extreme amount of ignorance and delusion. You're statement being wonderful proof.
I once randomly asked a stranger at a busstop (you can do that safley in australia 70% of the time) what they thought Aliens mite think about us humans... he said the most interesting responce Ive ever heard an that was
"they would take one look at our habbits and deem this place Unsafe and us Dangerous, they would see that we eat ANYTHIGN that wont kill us, they would come to the conclusion that we would try to eat them.
@TheMightyLu don't generalize and say "we". Your acting just like the people in the film and pretty much saying that all humans are dirty sick fiends. This sort of animal abuse would not be called INHUMANE if it was natural human behavior. I can eat my beef in peace knowing that the cow was put unconscious before it was killed. If it were killed by another predator it would have been bit in the neck and eaten ALIVE. Yes, its sick what they did in the video but that's not the common practice.
How come that only 55 thousand have seen this film? We are too busy with "important" stuff and lose sight about what is really necessary to continue living on earth... We are all earthlings, but not everybody has understood...
This is probably the biggest piece of propaganda that I've ever witnessed in my life. I'm not telling you how to live your life so don't tell me how to live mine. Being from the beef industry and seeing how you tree hugging leftist twist this shit is unreal. I love how you call this the "corruption of the rodeo industry"! This isn't even a fucking rodeo. But all I can say is have fun eating shitty food, cause they're ain't nothing better than a fat fucking angus ribeye! EAT BEEF!!
however, animals do eat each other, why would we go against nature? i agree with the documentary about the way we treat them. Nevertheless, we need to eat meat, this is part of a nature since we have became humans.
This is the way the world works. All we can do, it`s to try change yourself.
@deskset24 I AGREE. Outlaw meat now! And can we also outlaw dairy too. The dairy industry are murderers killing all those male calves every year, and taking them from their mummies within the first couple of hours. HOW CRUEL. I wish the entire dairy industry would collapse tomorrow!
@Pii88 How do you know until you try. I am amazed how easy it is to give up meat. I no longer feel bloated either. Most meat takes a long time to digest in the human body. It's quite exciting once you start. I am now going off dairy too. The dairy industry is just as bad. Bastards in fact.
@Pii88 i cant kill anything there was a spider in the bathroom, all my familys scared of ALL creepy crawlys so when i see one i quickly let it outside i know how you feel i want to be a vegetarian but i love meat but i always think why do they do this?
@MrsRhea808 It's quite easy to give up meat. I thought it would be hard too, but now I cant look at meat without being mindful of the suffering the animal went through for us selfish humans. There are so many wonderful vegetarian diets, you owe it to yourself to at least try.
what was they doing to that Bull? No wonder why they dont like us cos of these stupid people doing that to them, Poor pig to, it proberly of had babies! i wanna be a vegetarian.! Bitches back away from our animals!
PAR2 Earth wide there is only one document that continues to be a lighthouse for equality, The Declaration of Independence. And it states the proper quotations that "all (human)men are created equal". but it also states that "decent respect to the opinions" which means we need more harmony & respect for views and not trying to change those views or not just simply living in a coutry that violates the respect of this moral. We must look to see that darkness is what helps us see the light. -Love
PART1of2 I agree with the film on a lot & I definently feel there needs to be more love & harmony in the world but as an independent thinker I can say right off the bat they dismantle their own moral structure when they say ""**** violates the principal of equality." #1Their own philosophy violates equality, equality is only fully achieved when every thing is equal. This leads into thinking Eutopia which is never possible & to straight up tell people how they should live I have learned is wrong.
In response to the comment on earthlings you wrote "we kill animals because we have to", this is absolutely WRONG. we do it because we can and by and large don't care about anything but ourselves. Most vegetarians refrain from eating animals not because it's easy, cheaper, or trendy; they do it because we should know better, it's the right thing to do, and done correctly, a MUCH healthier diet. It's time we realize that we're only a small part of a bigger picture. not the center of all things!
@ShadowecR Well that's your opinion. I don't believe that all forms of life have the same value. Human life is more important than animal. As for eating them I see nothing morally wrong with it and it is just as healthy as a vegetarian diet. The problem is a lot of people overindulge in a meat eating diet. Vegetarian diets also have their share of problems if not done correctly (vitamin B12 and iron deficiencies for example). If balanced both lifestyles can be healty.
@FrankCostanzasLawyer Who decided that a human being is more important than a dolphin. Overpopulation = an over supply of humans, why is gold so valuable? With a population of 7 billion humans eating meat is unsustainable. Look at the bigger picture. Ever heard of carrying capacity? Peak oil?
@FrankCostanzasLawyer If you have ever interacted with a empathic animal such as a parrot or an orangutan you would realise that there are other beings out there with just as much value and show just as much emotional understanding and have the potential to suffer just as much. Even if they are not able to rationalise it put them into context (who says that dolphins cant?) you can still form a bond and companionship with them that is just as strong as with a human.
Just throwing this out there- I have seen docs like Earthlings and Food Inc, and I completely agree with vegetarians and vegans who cut animal products out of their diets, and I totally respect them, but for all you carnivores who want to eat animals treated better than this, there is hope. There are many farms and companies out there who care about animal welfare. Do the research! You don't have to condemn all animal products. Whole Foods is just one great supplier of responsibly raised food.
Could they have chosen more annoying, wishy-washy, meaningless music? It's so goddam annoying, it makes me want to fucking stab something (probably a cow or chicken).
If you eat a proper and healthy diet, you don't need supplements. I've been vegan for the past 3 years and I have never taken any supplements and my doctor says I couldn't be healthier!
Ok this is a good documentary, I'm still eating meat though. One question......he goes on and on about speciism and what not...but how come when a tiger eats a gazelle, we call that nature? Isn't that a life earthling kiling another earthling for food? Not trying to disprove this, just curious. If anyone could tell me, thanks.
@hollandkaas A tiger is a natural born carnivore. As humans, we have become adapted to eating meat, but that doesn't mean we were meant to eat it. Meat is responsible for high amounts of deaths & illnesses including cancer. Meat kills more people every year than smoking does. I mean, look at Bill Clinton, he completely healed himself by becoming vegan. People become healthy, get a lower BMI, glowing skin, more energy, etc. Essentially you become a happy individual. That's a beautiful way to live
@hollandkaas Ooh, I'm not acusing you of doing anything of the sort. You did however state that it's a beautiful way to live...and I merely said that that's personal. That's all....Thank you for awnsering my question, have a nice day mate.
@hollandkaas Hi also think about it this way the tiger only eats when it needs to, it doesn't kill for fun and it doesn't enslave and breed another animal for food later on.
@farria25 humans are 99.9% genetically the same, regardless of race or family ties and we are 96% the same as bonobo chimps. you're scientifically illiterate.
@FrankCostanzasLawyer i agree. while i am not against eating animals, i think they should be treated better. not just for our health, but for our own dignity, as long as we claim to be civilised intelligent beings.
@sk1bianca Absolutely! I couldn't have put it better myself !
However, I feel that the people that dominate these discussions are extremists. One the one hand people that think animals deserve the same rights as people, and on the other people who think they should have none.
@rockdro so are we supposed to act on how the universe plays its roll? by that standing, since our sun is gonna blow up in four billion years, we might as well save the planet some time and bombard it with radiation ourselves with a an all out nuclear missile fire off, thats stupid. you're trying to find reason to not care, not be productive, and not be a better person which is counter productive to what humans are supposed to be. humans should aspire and try to achieve being the most altruistic
@FrankCostanzasLawyer That makes no sense when in relation to how humans treat animals. A lion wouldn't kill you for fun, It wouldn't enslave you then breed you for food.
@sohcsarewicked I haven't seen anyone here suggesting that we should kill animals for fun. Eating animals or using them in medical experiments is not killing them for fun. Like the lion, we kill animals because we have to. However as rational beings I believe we should do it in the most humane way possible, by minimizing their suffering.
@FrankCostanzasLawyer we made the dodo extinct because we had to? we overbreed to 7 billion because we have to? We decimate the rainforest and poison the sea and overfish because we have to? Ever heard of Karma? The laws of mother nature will dictate our fate and force us to show some humility.
If you watch this and do not show any sort of empathy or humility then I question your integrity and level of arrogance.
@FrankCostanzasLawyer If humans are so special then we should be able to rise above the need to consume animals. Our very future as a civilised society will be determined by our ability to move away from meat consumption and reliance on fossil fuels. Until that happens billions of people are destined to starve. They will be born into a living death anyway. The Lion hunts because it is following its instincts (and there are not many of them compared to 7 billion humans)
@beastinblack You actually want me to explain you why a persons life is more important that a dolphin, an orangutan or a parrot?! See that is why people don't take animal activists seriously! You are like those peta freaks complaining about that terrorist attack that killed a donkey completely not caring about the people that died! And why can't you just advocate the better treatment of animals while refraining to insult me!? Every time I try talk about this issue with a vegan I am automatically
@beastinblack branded a murderer or a savage or arrogant. Hell, you ever question my "integrity"! Why? Because I care more about people that I do animals? Well I DO! That's the reason I enrolled in a medical school! That's the reason I do volunteer work!
Why can't you people be more moderate? I think we should treat animals better but that doesn't make them human.try to find some middle ground with meat eaters because if you don't nobody is going to give a crap about your message.
@FrankCostanzasLawyer - As posted on Part 3 with you in mind Im sure: a lion is a carnivore, and needs meat. you are an omnivore, so meat is not a necessity. a lion doesn't fully comprehend that it is taking a life. Just because we can exercise dominance over animals doesn't mean we should. animal agriculture is the #1 contributor to climate change, and water and air pollution. it contributes to heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and obesity. be compassionate. you're more evolved. Act like it.
@EddieAlda actually being an omnivore means that you digestive system is not adapted to primarily digest meat or vegetables so you need both to consume both to have all the necessary nutrients. I know you are going to say that I can take supplements or tufu or whatever but the fact is I don't want it. I like and fish and eggs and cheese and still have a very healthy lifestyle and diet. I have no moral qualms in eating an animal. And by the way farming is the activity that most destroys forests.
@EddieAlda But you know what really pisses me off? it-s the fact that you don't even realize that veganism is such a first world luxury. My country in going through a major financial crisis. Some people don-t even have enough money to buy essential medication. I KNOW these people! Some rely on the animals they breed and their products to survive! Are they supposed to give that up and not feed their children because you think eating animals is morally reprehensible? You be more compassionate!
@FrankCostanzasLawyer it's true. to many people, a vegan diet is just too expensive. what should they do? eat once a week a pot of vegetables? is THAT healthy?
nobody WANTS animals to die, but nobody wants to starv either.
also, certain people should understand that life and society isn't what it was 100-200 years ago. you can't live only with what you can grow in a small garden behind your house, like our grandparents did. vegetal resources are distributed differently.
@sk1bianca Hi a vegan diet will save you money...lots of money. You can buy huge bags of veggies for $7. 1 Hamburger from Macdonalds costs you like 5 bucks.
I'm hungry for a bacon cheese burger

I wonder if people would still accept the bullshiz argument that it's the "cycle of life" and the "food chain" if there were species higher than us who could easily enslave us and eat us just like we do to other animals. It truly astounds me how little insight and empathy so many people still have in the 21st century. Humanity is a moral failure.

LittleRubberSquare 4 months ago 5
@LittleRubberSquare We also can just eat less meat. That would be a start. There is already enough food for everybody except that Western countries eat much much more than we need, we also waste 1/3 of all food grown or produced, or we produce food that gets used instead for ethanol production. Western countries also buy food from countries in Africa where people are starving, land is used to feed the needs of the west rather than feed the people of the country.
steamer846 2 months ago
We as humans need to stand up and say no to this kind of thing. It's not about saying no to meat but no to the way it is produced so cruelly to make more and more money. So choosing to lessen/ cut out the meat an animal product on you life is probably the only way the average person can do.
AlorenNS 4 months ago
@megasexytimes Would it not be better then for them to die out then animal after animal living like you just saw?
I see nothing morally wrong with raising an animal on a farm and then using it for meat or dairy. But this? The way they are manufactured right now is not a life for them. It's fucking gross and cruel. So yes people need to start adopting a diet with less meat and animal product. Not because it is wrong but because the access to non manufactured meat and dairy is hard to come by.

There's a few things people need to realise, and this isn't going to make me popular, but please respect this, because it's the facts.
If we didn't eat animal produce, the majority of them would die out.
Becoming a vegan or a vegitarian isn't ever going to change anything, people do it for themselves, knowing that it won't save lives.
Lastly, we are still carnivores, and everything down to our teeth is designed to eat meat.
I don't condone the way thes animals were treated.
MegaSexytimes 6 months ago in playlist Earthlings (full film in High Quality)
@MegaSexytimes Thanks for that dead wrong assessment.
1. the majority of animals people eat are manufactured for that purpose. So them dying out is an erroneous arguement.
2. People become vegans for many reasons. You don't think becoming a vegan will change the fact that animals go through suffering and slaughter? Theres a serious math / logic disconnect with you. Not to mention the health and environmental benefits.
TheMindfulOne 6 months ago
@TheMindfulOne If you can explain to me how you or anyone being a vegan is going to stop animals being killed for food that'd be great. (: And yes I know they're manufactured for that purpose, it's still a fact that many species would of been extinct if it wasn't for humans producing them for food.
MegaSexytimes 6 months ago
@MegaSexytimes ... So you want me to explain how refusing to kill an animal for food is going to stop animals from being killed.... wow.
and are you telling me that cows pigs chicken and turkeys would be extinct if we didn't eat them? As for more exotic animals, they are becoming extinct and a result of hunting if anything.
...just wow
TheMindfulOne 6 months ago
@TheMindfulOne
MegaSexytimes is right dude
without the food chain..... some animals would go extinct or overpopulate
in my opinion....we just have to kill animals in a way where they won't suffer much
and only produce food equal to the consumption of the human population
marvelousincredible 5 months ago
@marvelousincredible ???
TheMindfulOne 5 months ago
@TheMindfulOne
you are so stupid
it is completely necessary to control it...imagine if an animal species would go extinct??would that make you happy?just because it's part of the natural life cycle?
and i don't know why you didn't get the foodchain part so let me explain.without animals being killed, they will overpopulate and overpopulation of one species leads to extinction of some other species....no animal lover would want that to happen...
and eating meat is not a choice it is a human need
marvelousincredible 4 months ago
@marvelousincredible If you think eating meat is a need then how do vegetarians live? The fact that I have to explain that is insane. You will make up any excuse you can to support your addiction.
LISTEN TO ME NOW!!!!
The reason for mass extinction is BECAUSE of human intervention. Not the other way around!
Expanding human settlements, logging, mining, agriculture and pollution are destroying ecosystems upsetting nature's balance and driving many species to extinction.
TheMindfulOne 4 months ago
@TheMindfulOne
i agree with you with one thing
extinction is also caused by human intervention
but with human intervention, lives can also be saved
you can live but you are not as healthy as people who eat both meat and vegetables
and good health is a need
and the human body is also designed for digestion of meat
for instance, the liver secretes bile that digests fat which plants do not have
marvelousincredible 4 months ago

@runter1988 More to your point about eating raw meat, I've eaten raw meat numerous times and I am just fine, how about you trying to eat raw, unprocessed beans and wheat, including soy beans.
nhaislip781 7 months ago
@runtor1988 The reason that some raw meat can make you sick is that most of these viruses and bacteria are introduced during handling and processing. Another reason is that 100's of cows are raised in an area big enough for maybe 50 and fed an unnatural diet of corn stalks, to keep them alive they are given high doses of antibiotics, which in turn makes the bacteria evolve to be able to survive the process. Factory farming and modern agriculture is the problem, not meat.
nhaislip781 7 months ago
@clairevoyagerfan There are many reasons that animals are important, to polinate plants, to help clean up other dead animals, to control other animals populations and oh yes, as a food source for other animals. Seriously, go watch the lion king already. I know you don't, but I believe that we are still a part of the food chain.
nhaislip781 7 months ago
Ok, lumping non-vegans in with racists, sexists and child molesters is utterly rediculous. I do not eat animals because I hate them, I do not think that they are un important.
Vegans try to place us above all other animals, it's not the other way around, they think we are more important, so therefore we have to protect them. This is rediculous, if they cannot evolve to protect themselves then according to the laws of nature they do not belong, we are still a part of nature, not above it.
nhaislip781 7 months ago
@nhaislip781 If you think animals are important then why do you eat them??
clairevoyagerfan 7 months ago
@nhaislip781 I don't think you can put all vegans in the same box.. People those a meat free lifestyle for different reasons..
What you are saying does not make sense to me at all.. Are you saying that if aliens came and were us superior, it would be okay for them to treat humans this horrible? Eating meat is okay... if you're a carnivore or omnivore. Humans are not true omnivores, we are herbivores. Our digestive tracks, stomach acids, teeth formations, and natural defenses are all drastically different than that of a true omnivore.

If we were meant to eat it, we wouldn't have to alter it in order to consume it.
runtor1988 7 months ago

Peace.

Poultry, pork, beef, bugs, reptiles, fruits, vegetables, fungus and microbes. We kill them all to live.
RoniCMaster 9 months ago

The difference between killing animals and plants is that plants are not living creatures like human animals or nonhuman animals. They can't suffer as we do since they don't have nervous systems or anything to process that pain, like a brain. Also, when you consume meat you waste more plants than a vegan or vegetarian would. So if you really think that it's so bad to kill plants, please reduce the killing by stop eating meat.

@Pii88 i cant kill anything there was a spider in the bathroom, all my familys scared of ALL creepy crawlys so when i see one i quickly let it outside i know how you feel i want to be a vegetarian but i love meat but i always think why do they do this?
MrsRhea808 1 year ago
@MrsRhea808 It's quite easy to give up meat. I thought it would be hard too, but now I cant look at meat without being mindful of the suffering the animal went through for us selfish humans. There are so many wonderful vegetarian diets, you owe it to yourself to at least try.

@deskset24 Your comment actually made me curious. What do you mean by a "person like you"?
FrankCostanzasLawyer 1 year ago
PAR2 Earth wide there is only one document that continues to be a lighthouse for equality, The Declaration of Independence. And it states the proper quotations that "all (human)men are created equal". but it also states that "decent respect to the opinions" which means we need more harmony & respect for views and not trying to change those views or not just simply living in a coutry that violates the respect of this moral. We must look to see that darkness is what helps us see the light. -Love
AmericanBlueCross 1 year ago

ShadowecR 1 year ago
@ShadowecR Well that's your opinion. I don't believe that all forms of life have the same value. Human life is more important than animal. As for eating them I see nothing morally wrong with it and it is just as healthy as a vegetarian diet. The problem is a lot of people overindulge in a meat eating diet. Vegetarian diets also have their share of problems if not done correctly (vitamin B12 and iron deficiencies for example). If balanced both lifestyles can be healty.
FrankCostanzasLawyer 1 year ago
@FrankCostanzasLawyer Who decided that a human being is more important than a dolphin. Overpopulation = an over supply of humans, why is gold so valuable? With a population of 7 billion humans eating meat is unsustainable. Look at the bigger picture. Ever heard of carrying capacity? Peak oil?
beastinblack 1 year ago

@meatpuppetsk8
If you eat a proper and healthy diet, you don't need supplements. I've been vegan for the past 3 years and I have never taken any supplements and my doctor says I couldn't be healthier!
rollodolo 1 year ago
Ok this is a good documentary, I'm still eating meat though. One question......he goes on and on about speciism and what not...but how come when a tiger eats a gazelle, we call that nature? Isn't that a life earthling kiling another earthling for food? Not trying to disprove this, just curious. If anyone could tell me, thanks.
hollandkaas 1 year ago
@hollandkaas A tiger is a natural born carnivore. As humans, we have become adapted to eating meat, but that doesn't mean we were meant to eat it. Meat is responsible for high amounts of deaths & illnesses including cancer. Meat kills more people every year than smoking does. I mean, look at Bill Clinton, he completely healed himself by becoming vegan. People become healthy, get a lower BMI, glowing skin, more energy, etc. Essentially you become a happy individual. That's a beautiful way to live
rollodolo 1 year ago
@rollodolo Well one way of life is not always the way someone else wants to live. I think that's rather personal, don't you?
hollandkaas 1 year ago
@hollandkaas
You asked a question, and I answered it. I never wrote anywhere that you should live that way.
rollodolo 1 year ago
@hollandkaas Ooh, I'm not acusing you of doing anything of the sort. You did however state that it's a beautiful way to live...and I merely said that that's personal. That's all....Thank you for awnsering my question, have a nice day mate.
hollandkaas 1 year ago
@hollandkaas Hi also think about it this way the tiger only eats when it needs to, it doesn't kill for fun and it doesn't enslave and breed another animal for food later on.

@farria25 humans are 99.9% genetically the same, regardless of race or family ties and we are 96% the same as bonobo chimps. you're scientifically illiterate.

You do realize that animals eat other animals. And Humans, being at the top of the food-chain and such, are no exception.
If a lion had the opportunity to eat me it would and it wouldn't apologize.
FrankCostanzasLawyer 1 year ago 8
@FrankCostanzasLawyer i agree. while i am not against eating animals, i think they should be treated better. not just for our health, but for our own dignity, as long as we claim to be civilised intelligent beings.
sk1bianca 1 year ago
@sk1bianca Absolutely! I couldn't have put it better myself !
However, I feel that the people that dominate these discussions are extremists. One the one hand people that think animals deserve the same rights as people, and on the other people who think they should have none.

@FrankCostanzasLawyer its dumb
besides i dont think nature stops and thinks about giving anything a humane way to die
rockdro 1 year ago 2
@rockdro so are we supposed to act on how the universe plays its roll? by that standing, since our sun is gonna blow up in four billion years, we might as well save the planet some time and bombard it with radiation ourselves with a an all out nuclear missile fire off, thats stupid. you're trying to find reason to not care, not be productive, and not be a better person which is counter productive to what humans are supposed to be. humans should aspire and try to achieve being the most altruistic
IAmTheCthulhu 1 year ago
@FrankCostanzasLawyer That makes no sense when in relation to how humans treat animals. A lion wouldn't kill you for fun, It wouldn't enslave you then breed you for food.
sohcsarewicked 1 year ago
@sohcsarewicked I haven't seen anyone here suggesting that we should kill animals for fun. Eating animals or using them in medical experiments is not killing them for fun. Like the lion, we kill animals because we have to. However as rational beings I believe we should do it in the most humane way possible, by minimizing their suffering.
FrankCostanzasLawyer 1 year ago
@FrankCostanzasLawyer we made the dodo extinct because we had to? we overbreed to 7 billion because we have to? We decimate the rainforest and poison the sea and overfish because we have to? Ever heard of Karma? The laws of mother nature will dictate our fate and force us to show some humility.
If you watch this and do not show any sort of empathy or humility then I question your integrity and level of arrogance.
beastinblack 1 year ago
@FrankCostanzasLawyer If humans are so special then we should be able to rise above the need to consume animals. Our very future as a civilised society will be determined by our ability to move away from meat consumption and reliance on fossil fuels. Until that happens billions of people are destined to starve. They will be born into a living death anyway. The Lion hunts because it is following its instincts (and there are not many of them compared to 7 billion humans)
beastinblack 1 year ago
@beastinblack You actually want me to explain you why a persons life is more important that a dolphin, an orangutan or a parrot?! See that is why people don't take animal activists seriously! You are like those peta freaks complaining about that terrorist attack that killed a donkey completely not caring about the people that died! And why can't you just advocate the better treatment of animals while refraining to insult me!? Every time I try talk about this issue with a vegan I am automatically
FrankCostanzasLawyer 1 year ago
@beastinblack branded a murderer or a savage or arrogant. Hell, you ever question my "integrity"! Why? Because I care more about people that I do animals? Well I DO! That's the reason I enrolled in a medical school! That's the reason I do volunteer work!
Why can't you people be more moderate? I think we should treat animals better but that doesn't make them human.try to find some middle ground with meat eaters because if you don't nobody is going to give a crap about your message.
FrankCostanzasLawyer 1 year ago
@FrankCostanzasLawyer - As posted on Part 3 with you in mind Im sure: a lion is a carnivore, and needs meat. you are an omnivore, so meat is not a necessity. a lion doesn't fully comprehend that it is taking a life. Just because we can exercise dominance over animals doesn't mean we should. animal agriculture is the #1 contributor to climate change, and water and air pollution. it contributes to heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and obesity. be compassionate. you're more evolved. Act like it.
EddieAlda 1 year ago
@EddieAlda actually being an omnivore means that you digestive system is not adapted to primarily digest meat or vegetables so you need both to consume both to have all the necessary nutrients. I know you are going to say that I can take supplements or tufu or whatever but the fact is I don't want it. I like and fish and eggs and cheese and still have a very healthy lifestyle and diet. I have no moral qualms in eating an animal. And by the way farming is the activity that most destroys forests.
FrankCostanzasLawyer 1 year ago
@EddieAlda But you know what really pisses me off? it-s the fact that you don't even realize that veganism is such a first world luxury. My country in going through a major financial crisis. Some people don-t even have enough money to buy essential medication. I KNOW these people! Some rely on the animals they breed and their products to survive! Are they supposed to give that up and not feed their children because you think eating animals is morally reprehensible? You be more compassionate!
FrankCostanzasLawyer 1 year ago
@FrankCostanzasLawyer it's true. to many people, a vegan diet is just too expensive. what should they do? eat once a week a pot of vegetables? is THAT healthy?
nobody WANTS animals to die, but nobody wants to starv either.
also, certain people should understand that life and society isn't what it was 100-200 years ago. you can't live only with what you can grow in a small garden behind your house, like our grandparents did. vegetal resources are distributed differently.
sk1bianca 1 year ago
@sk1bianca Hi a vegan diet will save you money...lots of money. You can buy huge bags of veggies for $7. 1 Hamburger from Macdonalds costs you like 5 bucks.
