The only reason you shouldn't buy this is if you don't have an HD TV. Some of the subtitles will be really blurry on a standard def TV. Other than that, it's probably one of the most solid and spam free fighters out at the moment.

Unless you're a graphics whore, the PSP version is by far the best one out of the bunch. It doesn't force you to play through the stupid Scenario mode, but most importantly it doesn't have long load times. The PSP version of Dark Resurrection is still the best one in the series though in terms of gameplay and content. It's such a shame that the Online edition for the PS3 lacks so many of the modes from the PSP port.

i just ordered this game. I loved tekken 2 when i was a kid, and i think tekken 3 is one of the best fighters out there. And yesterday i played tekken 5 i didn't like the idea of 3D moments. But tekken pulled it out so good that i was happy about it.

What I don't get is why in Tekken 4 you had the most immersive combat system of the Tekken series with interactive surroundings but then they took that out. Tekken 4 and Tag was the best of all the games in my oppinion. They need to rework the arenas so that you can interact with more than just a wall and an occasional bust through a floor. I want to be able to throw somebody into a pillar, knock them through it, then pick them up and punch them into a ceiling. Gimme mah Tekken 4 sequal!

To each his own, if you don't like a game than don't play it, no one is forcing you to play it...simple. IMO Tekken has more debt than SF, SF is all about spamming hadokens and grabs but thats just my opinion.

@juniorgod321 This is a little known fact, however, I hope it will help to answer your question. I have known a NAMCO employee for quite some time now (10 years +), and it has been told to me that each time a game is released that employs Yoshimitsu to it's roster, like souledge/soul caliber, Tekken, etc, that every member of the design team, minus the ones whom have already created a Yoshimitsu in past games enter a design contest. The winners design is then programmed into the game :)

i love everything about the game expect for story been in scenario no story mode, online lag and drop outs, limit customzation which doesn't follow the ad at the back case it says unlimited, not a lot of stages comparing a little with tekken 5, not the best opening movie ever, thats it now i want tekken 7 to exceed tekken 6, like tekken 5 did for tekken 4, i not looking foward for street fighter vs tekken, i m not a fan of crossovers.

Then 4 came out and was like WOW this is awesome...but...kinda... ish... it didn't really give me that much entertainment after playing through it with about 3 characters.

The story has ALWAYS been attached to tournament. Tekken 6 places the entire storyline in a campaign mode that FREAKIN SUCKS .

not to mention as the host review says, single player mode is trash.

however the graphics are super awesome and online play seems to be this games strongest advantage. The roster is great also, but the combos are cheap and unfair
