  • Dady, I want another pony. Dady, I want a squirl.

While he's at it, just give her a whole zoo!

  • love the 60's folk vibe.

  • how long does it take the dad to go down the steps...

  • These are Veruca's newfound friends. That she will meet as she descends...into hell. Now...let's keep on trucking.

  • i wish this song was longer.

  • Watching this now xD

  • This sounds Beatle-esk.

  • I hate this elitist attitude about this version verses the old one. They are spacial in their own ways. i personally like this more, as it is truer to the book.

  • NICE!!!!

    like if u agree!

  • I was obsessed with this movie when i was 10. like obesessed

  • thumbs up for willy wonkas plan

  • best song in the film PERIOD

  • This song is actually kinda creepy in a sort of way.

"These are Veruca's new found friends; that she will meet as she descends"

    I don't know. Maybe it's just me.

  • AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SONG, THE BACKGROUND MUSIC SOUNDS LIKE YOSHI'S THEME ON TETRIS ATTACK ON THE SNES. omg. lol.

  • Oompa Loompas look like tiny Kazuyas

  • I don tlike how all the oompas are just a copy of one little indian man...So weird

  • Must be fun going down that!

  • this song is my favrite from the movie. its so chill and cheery. and the way this scene was shot seems so surreal. like 1:00 and 1:26

  • @canadianbaconbro My fav song as well. Indeed, it does have something surreal to it and it's awesome ^^

  • Johnny Depp's face 0:37 + LOL........

  • LOL at the little ''ahhh'' at 0:27 everytime :')

  • DADDY! I WANT AN HD VERSION! XD

  • He was taking his sweet old time going down the stairs/ladder.

  • omg this is so creepy!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • @KatyPerryCTL How? it is not creepy!

  • The Oompa Loompas actor name is Deep Roy, check him out.

    He ALWAYS gets weird/crappy roles.

  • Good

  • I don't think it would be good to put a giant hole in the middle of the room. haha.

  • There's a moral to this. Never touch a squirrel's nut... unless you want to end up covered in garbage.

  • I like this song :D:D:D

  • I like this song :D:D:D

  • anyone else find the "a rather different set of friends" part hypnotic?

  • has anyone else noticed that each of these "bad" characters can represent one or more of the seven deadly sins: Augustus=gluttony+sloth, violet=pride, veruca=greed+envy, mike=anger+lust. just something i noticed....

  • At 0:58-1:06 , what is the melody a remake of? I recognize the tune, but can't figure out where it's from.

  • @ludaXkillz im having the same problem. to me it sounds like something from the beatles or the monkeys lol

  • @ludaXkillz

Probably a Beach Boys song :/

  • Okay, Umpa-lumpas, we know you mean well, but this is NO time to sing and dance!

  • sounds very much like the moody blues song the voice

  • I bet that nasty ol' Willy Wonka fantasized about shitting in poor little Veruca's stinky hairy cunt.

  • My favorite song of the Ompa-Loompas

  • LOVE IT

  • I'm so disappointed, I'm watching this on television and they cut out the middle verse of this song. I suppose I should have expected that, but it seems rather silly to cut down on the songs.

  • @tonydecaro how terrible!

  • @tonydecaro

Which verse is that? and what's wrong with - why did they cut it out? :)

  • Where Can I BUy THe BOOk??

  • @dennisang007 Almost any bookstore ^^

  • @dennisang007 any bookstore, its very poplure, even i'm reading it at the mo

  • i think 1:32 is the best part of the whole song :D

  • @Elosion2513 I AGREE I ALWAYS REAPEAT IT!!

  • @Elosion2513 listen to this part in the russian version i dont think you would say the same thing there! LOL

  • Squirrel =THIS IS SPARTA

  • I like Wonka's expression when that dad says "Well that's good news"

he's all like "yeah..." you can tell he's thinking "Ah damnit all!" XD

  • "Veruca Salt, the little bitch, has just gone down the garbage ditch"

  • out of all the kids i think veruca got the least worse =D, you only smell like garbage for so long, unlike being stretched or turned flexible

  • This reminds me of the band ELO :P

  • LOVE IT

  • i love this song

  • Johny looks young in this movie for an age 42,he looks so diff now.

  • ....it's kerligirl13

  • ok how can a squillel do that is that even popsble

  • @101superchao it's animated :) still looks real eh?

  • XD this song just got stuck in my head out of the blue randomly so i haaad to play it XD

  • she is a brait if i was the father i would gi diwn stop here and smack her one

  • You know, it's funny, but if you look in the background while the OL's are singing, you can actually see the squirrels watching. BTW, is the dad the guy who played the second guy who died in Sherlock Holmes?

  • @TF2Fan101 LOL! THE SQUIRRELS *ARE* SINGING!

  • I think the line is "Who *pandered* to her every need" not "handed to"

  • wonka smiled when mer salt fell down. he dosnt know its safe, he just laughed at a murder. holly shit

  • I bet that ol' scoudrel Mr Salt secretly tapes his little daughter Veruca while she takes a shit.

  • Is it wrong to say that after all this, I still want one of those squirrels?

  • willy KNEW what the right key was!!

  • I bet that ol' scoundrel Mr Salt fucked his daughter's hairless cunt silly whilst not a soul was watching in the pits of the garbage chute.

  • @johnd94 It usually takes a lot for me to stop and go "WOW that is some fucked up shit right there," but congratulations cause WOW that is some fucked up shit right there.... WOW.

  • its not the best song but its catchy as all hell< so it belongs on top 10

  • I love how the whole time Veruca's getting pulled down the chute, Depp is looking frantically for the key, and then as soon as she falls down, he just turns the key and opens the door, like he planned it all. The one thing I don't understand, though, is why the dad didn't simply climb over the gate to save his daughter.

  • @7MukuroRealm

He probably felt as though he wasn't wearing the right shoes... :D

  • @7MukuroRealm interesting statement....

  • @7MukuroRealm I think Veruca's dad is too proud to climb over the gate, even if it is his own daughter being thrown down the chute haha! I guess it accentuates his character- buying his daughter's love with money, but not loving her quite enough to risk looking a fool in front of a famous man such as Willy Wonka and the other guests. I've always pondered that, too... :D

  • @7MukuroRealm Because he's a bad father.

  • daddy i want a squirrel

  • the oompa loompas are just throwing crap on her

  • Darn Hippies

  • Is anyone else creeped out by this movie?

  • @JFSChannel Definitely. The original is waaaaay better, and not NEARLY as creepy.

  • @8a9crrre u can't say the old film is the original one. the new movie is based on the book like the old movie, so both are based on the book, the old film is just an older version of the book adaption, but not the original one. i mean then you have to say that the new movie is a remake when the old one is the original one, but it isn't.

  • @JFSChannel I sure am. I thought the old version of this movie was creepy and now since Ive seen this one I have to say this one made me have nightmares.

  • @JFSChannel

Me x'D But in a good way, I love it's weirdness

  • This is the only song from this movie that I liked

  • DANNY ELFMAN IS A GENIUS

  • @dramaticallyhappy Well, on a visual level, he is.

  • Best song!

  • I like this song. :D

It may be just me, but it seems to be an octave or so higher.

  • I think the lyrics for this song as well as as for all of the songs in the re-make come from the original book.

  • Quick question: Why did Willy Wonka have a picture of Veruca's mom? lol?

  • @crabclaw85 good point, LOL

  • was this a real song before

  • no it was only made up for the film

  • lol this sounds like a beatles song

  • i loove this song :D These songs (in the Tim Burton movie) was actually written in the original book by Roald Dahl, but edited.

  • i love danny elfmans music =] when u throw it in with burton and depp, you have a movie that is inevitably good

  • For some reason, I felt really sorry for the dad.

    Anyone else?

  • i love his hat. think he still has it as a prop?

  • I love this movie!

  • Brilliant!!

  • Sounds like The beatles and other groups...

  • the lyrics really don't fit the music

  • I can't believe Danny Elfman did the singing voices for the Oompa Loompas. o-o;

  • "Veruca Salt, the little brute has just gone down the garbage chute!" hahahah

  • There are little pplz! There so tiny! Did u hear the Dad's voice at 2:23? HILARIOUS!

  • Lol i luv this movie! The songs r awesome, Johnny Depp is in it, and the most important part, ITS HILARIOUS!

  • Wonka's face at 2:00 is excellent! It's scary and creepy!

  • @cutegirl00179 Don`t you mean 1:48 ?

  • @cutegirl00179 good point.

  • lol the squirrels are like who the f*** are these singing guys, cant we just break some nuts in peace?

  • love when the squirl jumps on him :3

  • amazing song

  • i like the old school willy wonka better... johnny depp does an amazing job but this movies too futuristic...

  • Love this song. Lyrics are straight from the book, and Elfman's music is wonderful to listen to.

  • good!!!

  • This is my favorite performance from the movie. It's filled with messages and pun's, and it has its twists too. Good harmonies and music.

  • Why are people thumbing you down?

    It's the truth.

  • @UACmarine2O8 I've had so many thumbs down, so it obviously is the truth (: These 'Oompa Loompas' are crap.

  • What is the name of the original song? I don't seem to fully remember it :/

  • i love the skips the little guy does at the beginning i find it very funny... i never hold a stright face during that part 0:55

  • I was just thinking...Anybody planning on doing a "THIS IS SPARTA" for the Squirrel that pushed Veruca's dad?

  • OMG I was just collecting Willy Wonka clips for videos, but I never thought about that! That would be an awesome idea. You wouldn't mind if I used it, would you? I'd give you credit in the video description.

  • Haha, you don't even need to give me credit. Just tell me when the vid's up ;).

  • imagine what would happen when Mr salt reached the end of the garbage chute.I imagine that Veruca Salt has just land on a pile of rubbish and then her father falls on top of her!

  • jonny depp is an amazing actor 1 of my favs

  • mee too! hes the bomb!!!!!! XD

  • Gotta love the Beatles influenced sound. =)

  • love this song and its quite funny

  • best song in the movie :D

  • This is my favorite song from the movie. It's quite a catchy tune.

  • sounds really beatles/60's influenced. Best song of the movie

  • I find it strange that you see a manhole cover

in the middle of that spiral

  • Sounds higher pitched than it should be

  • @ECL28E Because its from a PAL source

  • kinda hippish

  • By the way, it's who pandered to her every need :)

  • When I first heard that(Not in this video) I though they said 'parented', but I guess you're right. :)

  • This is my favourite song in the whole film, and I love that 60s Psych vibe to it.

  • most of these songs sound like the beatles

  • Actually, most of this song was written by Roald Dahl! It's the Veruca Salt Song and the stuff missing is about disgusting stuff you would find in a garbage chute. A big list.

  • lol these songs make me feel high

  • this is possibly one of the best remakes of any movie i've ever seen

  • @daniakarick not a remake just another interpretation of the book. A better interpretation I think; the willy wonka one was disliked by roald dahl this one is more like the book

  • @daniakarick It's not a remake.

  • lol i love it

  • BEST SONG FROM THE WHOLE MOVIE!

  • @HeWhoDarez I agree one of the best song in the whole movie and one of the best in a movie.

  • @HeWhoDarez Agreed!

  • Classic Abba sounding song..love it..

  • Lol

  • i always thought that this song sounded like the beatles...love the movie!

  • HaHa WHAT THE!

  • I love this song so much. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is so amazing <3 I love the melody

  • i remember when this version of the movie was released i was like 10yrs old

  • That was only four years ago. Not much history there.

  • i love the songs :) 70's ftw :D

  • Dude, Willy Wonka scares everybody, but he's still brilliant!!! XD

  • Mr. Salt cannot scream when he falls down the chute.

  • I love this film. I made a video of the factory in 3D. It's on my channel!

  • ha ha garbage chute girl

  • lmao all the squirrels stop working and turn around to enjoy the performance.

  • the new film is so much better than the old one. More true to the book

  • I love the modern adaption of the old classic. Pulled off brilliantly I might say.

  • This is my favourite song in the movie. I kinda feel sorry for Mr. Salt

  • I would, but it's far too funny when he falls :D

  • Thanks for the lyrics of this song! Thank you, picknick21$
