This trooper was responding to a stolen car call. Since when is a stolen car call so important that he has to run hot, and break all kinds of traffic laws and endanger other people's lives in the process, in order to get there? A few years ago, in Oklahoma City, there was a cop who got killed in a traffic accident because he was stupid enough to do the same thing. So now, they have charged the man who stole the motorcycle with murder as well as auto theft. And that is wrong.

First, if the patient was in such "immediate need" to get to the hospital, the ambulance should have been running hot with lights and sirens, obviously they were not in too big of a hurry, or emergency.

Second, the EMS supervisor showed aggression towards the trooper and should have been arrested for obstructing justice. He was put in a choke hold after RESISTING ARREST.

As stated before, the "patient" was obviously not in too much of a hurry to get to the hospital because it is clearly visible in the video that the "concerned supervisor" did not have the ambulance running hot with its lights and siren on. It does not matter who the hell you are, if you are pulled over you do not jump out and stick your finger in an officer's face and call the shots. When the "supervisor" prevented the trooper from speaking to the driver, HE WAS OBSTRUCTING JUSTICE.

When I saw the first video on this, I kept an open mind and thought both sides could have handled the situation differently. After I saw the OHP dash cam, I thought the officer was completely in the wrong. There was no need to cuss and talk to either medic that way. The worst part of this whole thing is the fact that there is a patient in the back of that ambulance that is being ignored. The officer is lucky the paramedic didnt have to run a code all because the OHP pulled the ambulance over.

The ambalance driver was in a no passing zone when the OKHP pulled up behind him. He could have pulled over and found a jogger, tractor, or parked car in front of him as he topped that hill. The ambulance driver did pull over as soon as he topped the hill. The slow vehicle lane appeared very rough, too rough to pull over in an ambulance at speed. It appears from the video the ambulance may not have heard or seen the cop...ambulances are well insulated, AC units going, diesel motor etc..and MANY blind spots..especially right behind the ambulance. My biggest concern is that the situation goes quickly out of control when the patient's family members arrive. At this point, backup should've been called immediately. You suddenly have unsupervised civilians hopping into the back of a bus with unrestricted access to drugs and equipment. For Shame, OHP Trooper 606 for putting the paramedic in this situation. I live in North Mississiooi and had a hwy patrolman literally cuss my son out because my son was confused about whether he was supposed to go around an accident or stop. It was dark and he was looking at the patrolmans flashlight. He was moving at app 5-10 mph.

Simpletonman, EMT's are afforded the same rights as an officer of the law. When the cop learned that the rig was transporting a patient and continued to detain them the officer broke the law interfereing with an EMT. Ohh the running lights and sirens are used for going through traffic and while parked at a scene. if its a clear highway and easy driving ahead there isnt a need to keep the sirens on.

The trooper was right in all actions leading up to placing the medic under arrest. His mistake was not completing the arrest that instant. The rest would not have happened had the EMT been sitting in the back seat. He clearly disobeyed a lawful order to move back during a traffic stop. Trp. Martin, you have my support and I, for one, can understand your getting upset with these idiot drivers.

Additionally this officer did not pay any attention to the patient in the car, and was more interested in his own ego than the welfare of the person in this ambulance. He violated his oath and his duty as an Oklahoma Highway Patrol officer. If he really was doing his job he should of allowed the ambulance to drop off the patient at the hospital, or took the patient himself to the hospital.

1. This trooper stated in his report he never was told that there was a person being transported to his office. He clearly falsified his report.

2. The Oklahoma Highway patrol did not want to release this video, and clearly was in conspiracy to hide the truth of this troopers actions.

3. This trooper was cleared by the local law of wrong doing, which goes to Okfuskee County DA Office is blind, or doesn't believe in justice for it's citizens. This DA should be sued for incompentence.

The instant they made it known they had a patient on board he should have allowed them to continue to the hospital. He could easily have followed up after the fact...the trooper should be suspended without pay if not fired outright.

I know a couple of people who know this POS trooper. They say he has a VERY short fuse and looking at the video, looks like it to me. Claims that they wouldn't pull over for him, hell looks like it was less than 5 seconds for them to move over according to the video. And as far as he's (boo hoo) just back from the war, well if he is and he can't handle a little pressure on the steet, maybe he needs to get a new job making baskets. Its obvious this SOB of a law enforcement was having a temper tantrum because he was not the first one at the 'scene'. So to make up for his baby ways he took it out on the EMT's.
