  • now this is rap music what use to be and today what it should be a rap song with a great beat and a bad ass rhythm now to bad a lot rappers can take a lesson from this song there no four letter words, or disrepect of women.. a rap song you can dance to and rap to at the same time.. this was a genius at work....

  • OMG Thank you Thank you FOR THIS ONE......I COULDN'T REMEMBER THE NAME......THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HEARD IN OVER WHAT 35 YEARS...THANK YOU.....

  • because he was rapping before repers delight.

  • @tulipp64 this was dropped in 1980, also the baseline mimics good times, which rappers delight samples. there is a vibraphone and a similiar rhythm guitar so i think it can be established that it is trying to copy the good times sound. but the lyrics, do they copy rappers delight??? Lets see: Louis Line, break of dawn, doing the freak. those are clearly from rappers delight

  • Why are the lyrics so similar to rapper's delight?

  • this is the baddest rap song ever recorded. these rap artist of today make me wanna throw up with their lyrics. i miss these old days of music

  • I remember jamming to this song in NYC. Clean lyrics with a great imagination. I use to visualize everything he said. What ever happen to rap songs like this?

  • SUMMER 1979 CHILLING WITH MY BOY VINNIE ON CAULLDWELL AVE IN THE SOUTH BX

  • @2009willin caldwell ave...dayam I was there till 74

  • F train to the City. Hang out all night... repeat!!

  • Yes sir...no video games back then, except for pong...we used to write it down and run with it...those were the days...LOL

  • So much fun. I feel as though hip-hop is either too serious or too absurd. I miss this mixture of wit, humor, and pure creativity. We'll get it back one day.

  • @NGGVids It was the new style...new groove...if you know what I mean...

  • snaps snaps!!!! am breakdancing on this tune even if i don't know how to breakdance and shit... :)))))

  • By far the baddest rap song ever recorded

  • the first story teller on wax he rocked this shit for 14 mins. a real og of rap back when we got no radio air play. one of the founding fathers of hip hop

  • Rap was only a year old when this came out. Back when you had to be able to control the mike to be successful!! Note that after he beqins to rap, there is less than 30 seconds of break through the entire 12 minutes of rhymes. And Jimmy Spicer was in the top five of the first ten years of Hip Hop. they actually mis spelled his name on the original all black label print as Jimmy Spleer and released tens of thousands of them and didn't fix the type-o until those sold out.

  • 1. Super Rhyme, Jimmy Spicer

    2.Rhythym talk, Jocko Henderson

    3. Rapping about rappin, Junie

Are my All times favorites, talk about the good ole dayz!

  • Man his rhymes are super crazy
