erictopia512. This video explains the regenerative braking system quite good actually. The yellow is the energy that is used while the car is in motion, the energy from the battery. The blue is the energy being created form the friction between the brake pads and rotors, this energy is being stored in a capacitor(that thing in the back) That stored energy can then be used to power climate control, audio functions and even the lights in the cab.
